A little pricey but we love it here. The Cajun potatoes are to die for. The start is super friendly.

The food was excellent and service is great. The dining room is large and there is plenty of room between the tables. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the fact that there was no understanding for the fact that we walked 3 miles to get here in the Texas heat and our daughter had brought a Stanley of ice water in. This is our first visit and saw the no outside drink sign, but didn't have a car to place the beverage in. Thankfully, they allowed us to place it on the ground so we didn't have to leave. read more

Amazing! Food was delicious, fresh, flavorful and all the things! King Cake coffee, phenomenal! Mimosas, phenomenal! Service was also amazing. Natalie was great, attentive and welcoming. Not to mention, cutest place with many seating options so no matter how busy it looks, wait is never unbearable and it manages to not feel crammed. read more

Tucked off in strip center, this cute lil breakfast nook is big enough to get a table (if you come early!) yet small enough for that hometown feel. Alissa (hope I got her name right!) has taken care of us each time we've visited. She always has a beautiful smile, is attentive, while letting us enjoy our company as well as the food. Great customer service! They say if there shrimp and grits on the menu, be sure to try it! This Shrimp and Grits Benedict is AMAZING! The grit cakes are lightly pan seared, topped with savory shrimp, delicately cooked with mouthwatering flavors, then topped with a delicious hollandaise with just a little kick. For me, it was perfect, as I'm not really a breakfast person. Served with piping hot fried potatoes. Yum! The Crab Cake Benedict was also equally as satisfying. Real crab meat you can taste and that hollandaise sauce that keeps you coming back. On the sweet side, the Cinnamon Pancakes smelled like grandma's kitchen coming out and tasted like she was back there herself, cooking with love! The Mimosa Flight is a mix and match. We tried our 4 favorite flavors, all were good. Don't forget the coffee folks! read more

Food: - Omelette was a bit on the burnt side and a bit smaller than other breakfast places, but overall it was delicious. 4 Stars - Grits was exactly how I love it: plain and simple, and freshly made. No pre-added butter or other junk. 5 Stars - Coffee was a bit on the bitter side. 4 Stars Service: Overall friendly. 5 Stars Ambiance: Another tucked-in-the-corner hidden gem. 1:00 on a Sunday, crowded breakfast place. First time here. It is a good local family breakfast.... I'm a chicken fried anything so I ordered chicken friend steak. Beef a little less tender than other places but still tender. Gravy pretty good. Eggs, well eggs are hard to do wrong especially with Choula sauce. Another order waffles.... Home run from a bonafide elf. Saw next table's pancakes... WOW! They said delicious and they are foodys. Bacon is crisp even when you ask for 'not crisp'. And the service was excellent. They have a FULL staff so customer service was top notch. I will go again. Oh, for those of you who know my posts, I can't neglect the bar... 5 seats... small but front row seat and great service. read more

We ordered a Cuban sandwich and stacked biscuits & gravy. Everything was delicious. The potatoes were crispy, the pulled pork was tender and flavorful, the coleslaw was crisp and not swimming in heavy dressing. Coffee was also pretty good. Service was fast and the place was quiet, no excessive music or loud chatter. I like when I can eat and talk to my husband without having to shout over all the noise. read more

Sizzle & Brew is a solid breakfast option. I met my friend here a few weeks ago, and we both really enjoyed their chicken & waffles. My only complaint was that the waffle could have been a bit softer, but it was still really tasty. The coffee was fairly average. The service was great. There is a really large patio out back with a good number of picnic tables and ceiling fans! The fans made the dining experience a lot more enjoyable as it got warmer outside. read more

I can't wait for the quarantine to be over so I can actually enjoy my mimosa on the patio and eat my food in a peaceful scenery. I ordered the Orleans omelet with potatoes and a kids m&M pancakes and bacon. There was nothing on those plates I could complain about. All around a pleasant experience. read more

Food: excellent. I will give them that for sure. Huge issue for us as a brunch place is the coffee situation. We were told there was hot coffee and cold coffee. Nothing really else... no lattes or cappuccinos or anything of the sort. Ambiance: it's a little strip center feeling but they try hard to make you not feel that way. Cute decor on the walls. Service: our waitress was entirely too open with us. I won't call her by name but I came to have brunch and chat with my girlfriends and my friends spent minutes every time she walked up (too frequently) basically feeling obligated to console her on how difficult her life was ("two kids, all the problems, no one wants to marry me") it was just so awkward and screamed pity party/ tip me well. I literally stopped acknowledging the comments and she still didn't get the hint. I still tipped 20% but ya we won't be back. I feel bad for her but girl, keep personal life completely out of work. We all left irritated. Again, food was good. Such a bummer. read more

Are looking for breakfast at lunchtime? Want a great sandwich? Maybe a salad? You can get any of these and more at Sizzle & Brew. I have recently had the balsamic salad and shrimp and grits on recent visit. Both were really good. The shrimp and grits aren't traditional/authentic but still tasty. Never seen shredded cheese on shrimp and grits but the grits themselves are good and creamy. The sausage included adds more fat which can be helpful when recovering from last night. Everyone I bring enjoys their meal especially the chicken and waffles. This comes with syrup and a hot sauce syrup for the chicken. It's a massive piece of chicken. It will probably be my choice next time I visit. read more

One word- OBSESSED with this restaurant! I tried the Smoked Salmon Benedict and it is one of the best Benedicts I have ever had the pleasure of eating. The salmon was fresh and the Cajun hollandaise did not disappoint. My girls tried the Oreo Pancake and the Big Kids Breakfast. The pancakes were fluffy and huge. Monday is half price mimosas so I tried the server's suggestion, a Hawaiian Mimosa. Excellent! We will be back v soon. read more

I'm going to be a little wordy here because I don't like to give low ratings in general. With the pandemic, labor shortage, supply chain, etc... our restaurants really struggle and I want to be sensitive to that. I am a breakfast fan, grew up with a farm raised Dad who believed and cooked big breakfasts. My Mom makes a mean biscuit and the meal itself is important to us. So I look for true breakfast home cooking and the bar is high I found this place on Yelp and it was 4 star rated and I was excited to go. The menu is varied but Breakfast focused, check. The interior was clean, welcoming, check. The staff was on point to seat me and quick with coffee and order, check. I decided to go basic breakfast food because I can judge it best by that. This is where it went south. I ordered the biscuit & gravy breakfast. It comes with two biscuits, two eggs to order, choice of potatoes, grits ( I chose potatoes). The eggs were not sunny side up but instead had little yolk left. The potatoes were clearly out of the bad "ore ida" type, the gravy was a ready mix ( and little of it)and I'm not sure if the biscuits were any home made at all. This was topped by my side of sausage Pattie's which was clearly a fast food microwave type. They could have at least threw this on the griddle to brown it. Now all that said. The food was hot and they took the time to present it nicely. But the end of the day, despite the nice staff and clean interior I was very disappointed. For a biscuit & gravy breakfast I barely got enough gravy to cover biscuits. I asked for more and was given a ketchup 2oz cup full. When you come a breakfast focused place and pay $16 ($20 with tip) I expect more that ready made warm up. Maybe their more unique items like the Cajun Benedict are scratch made but I'm not sure I want to find out. Why buy frozen cut potatoes in bags when you can get fresh potatoes cheap and grill them easily. Fresh sausage in bulk on the grill would be a world better than microwave stuff Again, the staff and interior were great despite other negative reviews I saw in Yelp and the menu is nice. But the food has to carry a restaurant and this fell way short. read more

Skyla was a great server, Very friendly and got everything right without writing down our orders. Food was delicious, I ordered the Cajun Benedict. First time at this place and mannnnn it was really good the food was delicious... it not over the top with portions but the food actually taste really good, the boudin balls were delicious and meaty and crispy on the outside... ask for extra sauce. Not because it's not enough but because it's soo good.... Most breakfast places I go never get the potatoes done right usually soggy or dry they got the potatoes done perfect. Eggs were just right as well and I can't lie everything was better than expected... the ice coffee was good so was the tequila sunrise... definitely coming again as the service was great and the food came out about 7 minutes after ordering, it's busy at the moment and families are eating and talking, but the flow here Is good, the waiters are fast and nice. It's cool inside there is also outside seating..... this place is definitely a 4.5 we are definitely coming back.... Prices are really good as well..... read more
