Butter and Jelly with meal, very smart. Added a sweet balance to the savory meal.

First time eating here. I came with a friend and the place is very clean and inviting. Jason was our waiter and he was thoughtful, patient, and knowledgeable about the menu and the coffee. I ordered the hash and devoured it! lol I didn't even get a picture! My friend and I ordered the French toast to split, but ate so much of our meal that we'll be taking it home! Everything was amazing! I would highly recommend!

tried Flying Biscuit Cafe and I'd say it's a solid 7.5/10 for me. I ordered the fried chicken Benedict. I wasn't disappointed, but I definitely wasn't blown away either. The biscuit was very lukewarm when it arrived, and the egg was already broken, which took away from the presentation a bit. I went on a Sunday morning and had about a 20-minute wait, which wasn't bad considering the time. I would definitely be open to trying them again, but I was expecting more from the biscuit itself. It wasn't really soft, fluffy, buttery, or warm like I hoped. That said, it wasn't bad at all. It's a good option if you're already in the area and want a convenient breakfast spot without going too far out of your way. The grits, though, were delicious and honestly one of the best parts of the meal.

Came in for our first time and we really enjoyed it! Jason was our server and he was so personable and patient with us going over and beyond to answer any questions and make sure we had an amazing time. The ambience was chill and we enjoyed every bit of our food from the grits, to the potatoes and the yummy beignet donuts! We will definitely be back!

Second visit in the last 5 months. I need to express my concerns about the staff. There were many staffers seemed to be walking around but no one was completely doing their job! There were several people waiting to be seated and no one was busing the tables. The hostess was actually busing tables that shouldn't be her job. - Staffer's responsibilities should be more concrete to the person who is assigned the job & needs to be done in a manner pleasing to the patrons waiting to be seated. I have to say I love the sunflowers! The place is cute & inviting. Your food is great. But you would have more people eating at your establishment if you bused the tables more efficiently. We watch several parties leave after being told they have a 30 minute wait - when you can see four or five tables that simply needed to be bused. The manager needs to make sure the staffers are doing their job more efficiently‼ I'll give this place another try and if things haven't changed - I'll go somewhere else. Side note - floor had food all over were a baby had been sitting - the person cleaning the table just kicking the food around out of the walkway - did not sweep it up at all - this is a disgrace.

I'm pregnant and I've been craving a good chicken biscuit, my husband decided to surprise me with one this morning from here. For a restaurant with biscuit in the name the chicken biscuits sucked. The chicken was decent, but the biscuits were hard and crunchy and just fell apart, not soft or easy to hold at all. I ate the piece of chicken and maybe half of the bottom biscuit slice. I should have just waited until tomorrow morning and got a honey butter biscuit chicken biscuit from whataburger or even a chickfla chicken biscuit.

We stumbled upon this place few years ago (original location) and we loved it. So when we heard there was one a little closer to us now we had to go. We got there and was told it would be a 25 minute wait. Well that 25 turned into nearly an hour. But once we were seated it was smooth sailing. We already knew what we wanted. My wife and I both got the steak and eggs. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and seasoned well. Or food came in a timely manner and was exactly how we ordered it. And those creamy dreamy grits.... WOW

Small chains always make me question myself. If this was a local establishment that's been open for years the quirky paintings on the walls and the lackadaisical service would be endearing, as in I could tolerate it because it's culture. But this "The Flying Biscuit" is part of a mini chain copied from an original and I expect procedure and routines from my chain restaurants. I know what to expect at an IHOP, Denny's and even Waffle House, they have a routine, one person comes and seats you in a rotating section or in their section if they're not busy. Maybe Flying Biscuit has this routine but the procedure wasn't followed and that's why I had to wait 10 minutes to be seated without a cent being acknowledged. Maybe that's why I had to wait another 5 minutes before a server announced themselves or even said anything, maybe that's why "who I guess is" the manager was just walking back and forth and not actually helping his servers. The point is maybe something fell through and I went on a bad day, the other thing is the food and the fake quirky murals weren't good enough to make me recommend "The Flying Biscuit Cafe" in Cypress over say an IHOP. My wife had the Eggstravaganza with French toast and I had the Steak and Eggs. It was fine but not great, just meh. The "famous" biscuits were really good but the "famous" grits were just okay. If we're going quirky mini chains I prefer "Black Bear Diner" on the other side of 290.

We decided to try something new for breakfast. We were accompanied by 5 others plus my family of four and there was about a 30 minute wait to sit, which is reasonable for a Saturday morning. Our waitress was Erica, who took care of us the whole time! Most of the people with had the same dish...which was the French toast. It was really sweet but very good! I had the chicken and waffles with the honey butter drizzled on top and let me tell you!! It was absolutely spectacular! Probably the best thing on the menu! Ha! The only thing I didn't like was the kids food. It wasn't enough food for 7/8 year old kids.

The bright table made me smile.

OK, so this was a great breakfast experience. Our waitress Trinity was super nice and helpful, a good introduction to the place as she made menu recommendations. Adam brought our plates out from the kitchen and was happy to answer the questions I had and, yes, it's butter (thankfully NOT margarine) that they serve with the biscuits. Not a fancy place, but somebody was not afraid to put a bunch of sunflowers and other colored drawings on the walls, so it's bright and cheerful and sometimes you just need that in the morning. I didn't want any of that prepackaged stuff to put in my coffee and, after making some inquiries, they accommodated my special request and the kitchen kindly sacrificed some of their manufacturing cream and sent it out to the table for my coffee. They get HUGE points for that. Mr. Picky has a sweet tooth and so he was very happy with his French toast stuffed with sweet cream cheese and raspberry sauce with crème anglaise. All he wanted was the sweet stuff and so I ate his chicken patties and his cheese and onion scrambled eggs. I ordered the savory hangover hash and thought it had a lot of flavor. I particularly appreciated the fact that it was a chicken chorizo they were serving on it because I get tired of not having options and restaurants always serving pork chorizo. So, how do I rate this place, "4" or "5"? i'm going to rate them a "5", not for the quality of the food but because the staff was so lovely to deal with.

I'd been wanting to try this place. Food was pretty bland. I'm not usually one to add salt but I had to add it to everything. The avocado toast was plain avocado. The grits were delicious! The espresso martini was disappointing. It was like spiked coffee. We got in fairly quickly even though there was a wait. Place was spacious and quaint. Plenty of room between tables.

Lakera is a great server, the food here is amazing. The hangover hash is so amazing. The waffles here are cooked just perfect. Not too hard or soft. Just right.

You know it's not bad but it's nothing extraordinary.... The waffle was really good and I LOVEEEEDDDDD the Nashville hot chicken.... The service was not the best we came in an hour or so before they closed anddddddddd they definitely forgot about us. We were sat and didn't get greeted for 15 minutes... we thought that you had to go up and order but when we asked we found out that our server didn't even notice us..... the food was good!! I just wish we were given the proper attention. The place is very cute and colorful so I honestly think it's a place to try just be cautious

The young lady at the front did her best to accommodate us by apologizing, giving us a free cobbler and juice for the little one. We ordered a few different things: fried whole wings, dirty rice, yams, cabbage, mango habanero wings, fries, red beans and rice and Kool-aide. The fried wings, rice, fries and cabbage were well seasoned- you could taste the butter in them. My son wasn't crazy about the red beans n rice or mango habanero wings. He said it was more beans than rice and the wings lacked flavor. The Kool -aide was super sweet (as expected), but I added water to make it more palatable. While waiting we talked to some other guests Who decided to wait. Later the cook came out and chatted a bit- he was nice. Overall, food is good just come with patience.

We went on a Saturday for lunch. Hopefully this was just a one-off, but if you're looking for good Cajun boiled crawfish, this is not it. We started off with 6 lbs (group of 4) of their regular crawfish. First off, they put the Cajun seasoning on outside/shell (!!), which is a cardinal sin for Cajuns. They also minimally seasoned the boil, so the meat was lacking salt and flavor. We ordered 3 more lbs with the "wet sauce" (garlic butter), thinking the lack of flavor may be attributed to this being the first-ish batch of the day. Nope, the second batch was even less seasoned than the first. The sauce was good, but it didn't make up for the unseasoned meat. The crawfish were a good size, at least... Come on guys, I expect more from a Gulf Coast seafood restaurant!

It was a beautiful sunny day outside and it reflected all throughout the large windows of the restaurant. A+ for the ambiance. We started off with mimosa carafes for the table, great blend of juice and champagne. No complaints at all about the mimosas. He started us with a round of biscuits, with butter & jelly on the side. Would give it overall rating of 8.5/10, I actually liked them they weren't too sweetened like other biscuits. For food, I ordered the Buttermilk Waffles, turkey links, and side of Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese. The food was good, above average in my opinion. The buttermilk waffles weren't overly crisp but still had nice warm flavor (8.7/10), turkey links were satisfactory (8.1/10), and the mac & cheese was above average as well, not out of this world but pretty good nonetheless (8.0/10). In my opinion, I give this restaurant a 5-stars, not just because of the food (4 stars), but just the overall experience. The ambiance was great, our server was hilarious, kept us entertained the entire time, and they were convenient nonetheless. They do 20% auto-gratuity as well. Feels good when an establishment takes pride in their customer's feedback and puts a plan into action. Honestly, part of me was hoping that last time was just a fluke or an off day. This time around, everything from the service to the food was great. We had a 12:30 Sunday reservation for two and opted to sit inside this time. We ordered the cast-iron cornbread, chargrilled oysters, and a cup of gumbo each to start. For entrées, I had the Gulf Fish, while my husband went with the crawfish Florentine. Everything came out beautifully timed, almost like a perfectly paced three-course meal, which obviously made the whole experience feel elevated and relaxed. Our waiter was knowledgeable, attentive, and on top of everything without being overbearing. I also tried the prickly pear aid (non-alcoholic), and it was super refreshing, definitely worth ordering if you like a little tartness to cleanse your palate. Overall, this visit felt like a completely different experience than last time. It delivered the elevated experience a place like Eunice promises and what I was used to originally. Looking forward to celebrating my birthday here in June!

Unfortunately, the overall dining experience was disappointing due to both the service and the food quality. Our server was very slow throughout the evening. After ordering cocktails, it took approximately 20 minutes for them to arrive. We then ordered our meals... I had the burger and fries, while my girlfriend ordered the shrimp and grits. Both dishes were noticeably over salted. After finishing our meals, we waited an additional 15-20 minutes just to receive a dessert menu. Eventually, we decided not to wait any longer and went to Dessert Gallery down the street instead. While the atmosphere and appearance of the restaurant were excellent, the slow service and food issues negatively impacted the experience. Based on this visit, I would likely not return.
