Kids steak
Wendy K.

I was not impressed at first. I went to the front to get seated, and then they sent me to someone else. The server was not happy but seated me. I got a kids steak medium rare, and a Coke Zero. My side was mashed potatoes and I got brown gravy for my meal. The sweet roll was good but the Honey butter was addicting. The steak and brown gravy was delicious. It was a huge kids meal. The mashed potatoes were homemade.

Hostesses were annoyed that we came in and then when we requested a booth they rolled their eyes. I'm not sure why that is an issue? Server was amazing and stayed on top of most of what we needed. The grilled shrimp came out super fast and were delish. The entrees were pretty good, the steak was on point. The portobello mushroom chicken was juicy and good as well. I missed where the baked potato costed more if fully loaded, yet it was not bad. The manager that is supposed to stop at tables never came by after we were there for 49 minutes. We figured they were busy. Hope next time we are not an inconvenience for requesting a booth.

We came here for our Valentine's dinner date and our waitress was so helpful. She recommended the blooming onion with cheese and brown gravy. It was delicious!!! Our steaks were mouthwatering and cooked perfectly! I love my loaded baked potato and my husband enjoyed his sweet potato. The service was outstanding and ambiance was great for being a Friday night.

Recently I have visited this Texas Roadhouse twice for different reasons. I notice that now peanuts are in sealed bags at the entrance. I think the idea is to take them home to eat rather than at your table because I didn't see any hulls on the floor. This is a busy restaurant and it's not uncommon to wait 10 minutes for a table. I tried the roadkill chopped steak for $12.49 and chose a salad for one side dish and a loaded baked potato for the other but with an extra cost of $1.29. The salad was very good with chopped eggs in it. The tater was good and worth the cost. The meat was cooked medium and a little dry with some gooey cheese, mushrooms and onions on top. Table service was good. I gave this meal a 3.5. The next visit was for the 12 oz. ribeye for $23. I went with the same salad but opted for a cup of chili. Both salad and chili were very good tasting with the chili having some cheese on top. The steak wasn't as tender as I would have liked. I gave this meal a 3. I give an overall score of 3 and would consider returning. The side dishes were very good but the meats could have been better. I would probably order the chopped steak again. Oh and the free bread rolls are delicious.

Positive experience. Place is almost ALWAYS busy so be prepared to wait. No more peanuts on the floor which is great. Had A+ service. Ribs melted off the bone as advertised. Had an blooming Onion. It was not as salty, nor was anything else as salty as what I experienced at Outback. Not to say some things might be, like the chili. Not a fan of chain restaurants at all. This place checks all the corporate restaurant check boxes for sure. It's kind of hard to ignore just how busy they are. It's actually pretty decent and provide a consistent experience. I didn't have any reason to ding them for anything. They are well staffed and it appears to be a well operated business.

Margaritas and fried calamari

My very first time so we had to try the famous rolls and butter (not pictured because we ate them as soon as they arrived) they were so good we also got the frozen strawberry margaritas and they were delicious and very huge. The fried calamari was great but definitely a shareable size. Overall it was very cute and the server was very nice and attentive! The restaurant has many booths and can fit large groups.

We frequent different locations but it was our first time at this location. The wait was about an hour for walk in with large group. Good luck finding a decent table to fit 9 people: you basically had to squeeze in next to each other. Food: bread was delicious as always, meat is a tad under season for the prime rib, peach tea had no sweetness and tastes water down. Salad and side dishes were okay, nothing different compared to other franchise. Service is really bad. Our waitress Liz - instead of directing guests where the menu located, when asked, she pointed toward the back silent. When we asked the second time, she spoke back and asked if this is our first time. She was rude, impatience, and unable to convey what's special in the menu. She just wanted to take order and get over with. The host who took us to the table was nice but the waitress was horrible. Customer service was pretty bad, we are not so sure we should try this location again. We dined on last Wednesday, sat at the right corner of the restaurant, between 9 ish to 10 ish. I'm so embarrassed to introduce this place to our relatives from out of state.

Finished bread and salad waiting eternally for the steak...

Ridiculously mediocre service, steak always has to be sent back after waiting for it, but it still ends up cold.

We absolutely love Steak 48 and this time only elevated our love for this establishment. Our server, Taylor, was nothing short of exceptional!!! She was funny, engaging, full of life, and made sure we were well taken care of. Hands down, this was the best experience we've ever had there and we've been countless times. Taylor is easily another reason we will return. I saw her interacting with other guests and I have no doubt they had the same experience we did. Of course, I had a filet and my husband had the twin lobster tails. We started with the crispy shrimp deviled eggs. We shared sides or the roasted brussel sprouts and the sweet corn. We enjoyed a glass or two of wine, tossed some darts, and soaked in the relaxed, unpretentious vibe. It is casual in the right way. An adorable black and white cat who clearly runs the place. Getting to know Posty outside was an unexpected and genuinely charming moment that made the stop memorable. If you are a cat person, this alone will win you over. Even if you are not, it is hard not to smile. Great drinks, darts, friendly energy, and a bar cat that steals the show. Me and a friend came here on a whim. We were in Houston and was headed to one place when we…read morestumbled across this place. We walked and and you had to have reservations however they had 2 spots at the bar upstairs so we sat there. It was a fine dining place and we were a bit casual but still nice where we didn't stick out so terribly..lol SERVICE: We were probably at the bar I would say at least 10 mins before anyone greeted us. And 2 ladies to our right may have been there I would say about 15 mins before us, only b/c they didn't have anything in front of them just yet. Looked like thwy hadn't been there long, however, evwrytime I turned around this guy kept checking on them making sure they were good. He seemed to be some sort of manager. Anyhoo, finally a server came and greeted us. She had a unique name that now I have forgotten, but anyhoo, she was really nice. It was restaurante month there so we took advantage of there pre-made menu that came with a 3 course meal excluding drinks. We were served our drinks and not to long our apps. And the ladies next to us may have been 5 mins in between us ordering. However their food would come out fast. Once our apps were finished I know it had to have been 20 mins or longer before our food came out whereas the ladies next to use finished there apps not to long before us and had their food in the next 10 mins or so. They were actually just about done eating their main course and our food hadn't even came out yet. Then a server brought us over the desserts and I was like we hadn't had our meal yet. At this point I was a bit upset b/c I felt like since we were 2 women of color we were being over looked. There wasn't many ppl of color in this place. Matter-of-fact I think I only saw one other table that had ppl of color sitting at it. Other than that it was just us. So I th3n ask for a manager. He came, same guy that had been fawning over the ladies next to us, amd he gave some lame excuse for th3 delay and mix up with the desserts and offered us a glass of Champagne, I don't even like Champagne, he could have offered either a drink of our choice of maybe a bit off the bill for the delay. I understood it was busy, but they also know it was restaurant week and they wasn't a delay with the ladies next to us. So I felt like he was a bit dismissive and I did t appreciate it. If it hadn't been for the service or our waiter we might not have stayed. FOOD: Now I will say the food was soo good. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the beef salad although it came stacked and looked so great and my friend had the meatballs which she raved about. For dinner we both had the salmon which was superb. So no complaints here. Then the desserts. I had the carrot cake and she had the chocolate genache cake. They were delightful AMBIANCE: It was packed but not uncomfortable it was just a lot of ppl. But it also was quite a big place. They had a downstairs, upstairs and an outside area, so lots of seating, however they were extremely full. The bar was quite roomy and luckily we were able to take the end corner part which was perfect, b/c not a lot of ppl passing by us. Like we had our own little section. All in all is was nice, I would only go back during restaurant month or with a date who was paging b/c outside the prepaid menu which was $55 (not including drinks) most meals went from $40-$200pp and that is no exaggeration. So yea it was quite the fine dining experience.

At first, they were not sure if they were honoring it on a Monday even though I called to confirm and also stated that in my Open Table reservation. We both ordered the same meal. Tuscan Fried Chicken and Gulf Red Snapper. Loved the Tuscan Fried Chicken. Chicken served with artichokes, lemon and a side of the most delicious garlic aioli for dipping. This one is also on the Happy Hour menu. Gulf Red Snapper was good. It was advertised as being served with fava beans, leeks, and dried heirloom cherry tomatoes with a lemon-butter fish brodo. I think that they may not have planned for this menu item on the day that we came because it was more like a Gulf Red Snapper topped with chopped veggies in the lemon-butter fish broth. We asked for bread and cheese and refills on our water, but neither happened. They also offered a birthday treat which also never came. I think that they were thrown off by the confusion about the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu. Lucky to find street parking near Postino. Valet and garage parking are also available. A good meal, but a surprised by the confusion regarding the menu and spotty service during the meal.

This was my first experience with Credence and the atmosphere was new, modern and a little noisy. The lunch gnocchi was my first experience with gnocchi (in particular cornmeal gnocchi) so I have nothing with which to compare; I would probably not have it again but it wasn't bad. I have had plenty of beet salads and this didn't make the top ten. The grilled tuna salad my husband ordered rated a 0 on a scale of 1-5. The tuna may have been grilled as advertised, but there was no evidence of it, and there was absolutely no taste to it. I would have expected there to be some seasoning, but again, no evidence. The green beans were so crunchy they might as well have been fresh-picked and the sauce over the snow peas was so tasteless, Ranch dressing would have been a huge improvement. The NY Strip steak was perfectly seasoned and definitely lived up to expectations. The branzino was fresh and cooked well, but the seasoning was a little too subtle for me, so it didn't stand out as much as the other dishes. I also wasn't a huge fan of the cabbage.
