I want to personally thank Tyler for fixing my bad experience. I waited 20+ minutes for my "Med-Rare" Porterhouse and it was very RAW. I asked for it to be corrected a 2nd time and the "COOK" told ny server if they cook it any more it would be overdone??? Are you serious. That steak was not even juicy it was cold and dead. Grey color on the outside. Barely any grill marks , as if it was on the grill for 3 minutes each side and slapped on the plate. I dont know if i want to take the chance and return here ever again. Again , Tyler took care of me and he heard me out with my concerns stated above. He told me he would tell the cooks to do better and i mentioned they need to learn how to COOK a steak properly. For christ sake. My server told me this happens OFTEN!!!! Towards the end of the night. So there seems to be a pattern of laziness and half a** going on in the kitchen and it is affecting me and every other guest that has endured the same situation. Hostesses were annoyed that we came in and then when we requested a booth they rolled their eyes. I'm not sure why that is an issue? Server was amazing and stayed on top of most of what we needed. The grilled shrimp came out super fast and were delish. The entrees were pretty good, the steak was on point. The portobello mushroom chicken was juicy and good as well. I missed where the baked potato costed more if fully loaded, yet it was not bad. The manager that is supposed to stop at tables never came by after we were there for 49 minutes. My very first time so we had to try the famous rolls and butter (not pictured because we ate them as soon as they arrived) they were so good we also got the frozen strawberry margaritas and they were delicious and very huge. Recently I have visited this Texas Roadhouse twice for different reasons. I notice that now peanuts are in sealed bags at the entrance. I think the idea is to take them home to eat rather than at your table because I didn't see any hulls on the floor. This is a busy restaurant and it's not uncommon to wait 10 minutes for a table. I tried the roadkill chopped steak for $12.49 and chose a salad for one side dish and a loaded baked potato for the other but with an extra cost of $1.29. The salad was very good with chopped eggs in it. The tater was good and worth the cost. The meat was cooked medium and a little dry with some gooey cheese, mushrooms and onions on top. Table service was good. I gave this meal a 3.5. The next visit was for the 12 oz. ribeye for $23. I went with the same salad but opted for a cup of chili. Both salad and chili were very good tasting with the chili having some cheese on top. The steak wasn't as tender as I would have liked. I gave this meal a 3. I give an overall score of 3 and would consider returning. The side dishes were very good but the meats could have been better. I would probably order the chopped steak again. It was not as salty, nor was anything else as salty as what I experienced at Outback. Not to say some things might be, like the chili. Not a fan of chain restaurants at all. This place checks all the corporate restaurant check boxes for sure. It's kind of hard to ignore just how busy they are. It's actually pretty decent and provide a consistent experience. Our waitress Liz - instead of directing guests where the menu located, when asked, she pointed toward the back silent. When we asked the second time, she spoke back and asked if this is our first time. She was rude, impatience, and unable to convey what's special in the menu. She just wanted to take order and get over with. The host who took us to the table was nice but the waitress was horrible. Our car was broken into in the restaurant's parking lot, and staff and managements behavior indicated this is a known and ongoing problem. Despite this awareness, the parking area remains unsecured. We were worried because of the size of our group that getting in would be hard - we waited for about 45 minutes for a table which was alright. We were willing to wait. We were excited to eat. After we were seated, the servers were nice. The food took a while to come out but it's understandable that they wanted all our food to be ready at once but some of our plates were cold. I got the 8oz NY strip cooked medium rare - the most delicious part of the meal! The steak was very tender and juicy, loved it. The macaroni and cheese which was 99 cents extra tasted like soupy kraft - it was terrible. I had thought after all the years, roadhouse was finally making their own mac and cheese and unfortunately, I was wrong. That was the worst thing I ate there. I ordered a combo appetizer to go and the portion looked like a joke, the food wasn't even enough to fill the to-go box. It was like half of the box which was not worth $14. The server did mess up some of our orders and again, I want to give him some grace and props because we were such a large group. Absolutely delicious meal!! The drink prices are very reasonable and of course their bread is delicious. Service was friendly and we saw the manager (I think) walking around and interacting with tables to make sure everyone was having a good time. We got there around 5:30 pm on a Sunday and got a table immediately but by the time we left around 7 there was a wait. We were seated by a booth in the bar area and we loved sitting there! Asked to send it back, the cook charred half of it and the other half didn't look touched at all. Still super pink. Visited last night. I remember why I stopped coming here. Last time I ordered fried Chicken dinner and it was so salty and too much batter. So I decided I would visit to get the burger which use to be so great. Well we could hardly eat it. The meat had salt overkill. The fries were overcooked or refried to heat and tough. Had to wait for 6 minutes to get mustard. So disgusted and my family will never visit this establishment again. The manager did introduce hisself when we were waiting for our food. We walked in and were told that there was a wait for a table despite over half the restaurant being empty. Four employees were laughing and joking while several groups of customers were waiting to be seated. One couple grew frustrated and left. We left a few minutes later for the same reason. I went to Texas Roadhouse and ordered to go. It was a long wait but I didn't mind. I received my food around 10:35 and checked it. After checking it I noticed that the steak had a couple of mushrooms and I am allergic to them, and the steak also had an odd smell to it. I tried to go back in the establishment around 10:40 but the doors were locked already. I took the food home and attempted to eat the baked potato instead. When I cut the potato open it was completely rotten. The whole experience was a let down because I always come to this location but this was my first time having such a horrible experience. read more

Roadhouse Steakhouse Our second visit to the Cypress location at 290/Hwy 6, was really nice. We went on a Friday night so it was bustling. We got on the waitlist online. Upon arrival, we checked in and within minutes we were seated in a booth for two, eating fresh from the oven rolls with sweet butter! Jeremey took care of us like a pro. He got our tater skins started while we looked for the rest. When they came out, Jose, a manager, came by and checked on us. Jeremey then came by to make sure the ranch I asked for was out, and it was. When we were ready to order, the Boy had his favorite, chicken fried chicken, country gravy and fries. I got the beef tips with savory brown gravy, over a bed of mashed potatoes. Side of green beans made with onion and bacon. Small ranch salad. All delicious as usual! When we were seated we wanted 9 minutes till we were taken care of. We were in the middle of two other booths being taken care of by who we thought our waiter was but, ended up being someone completely different. It honestly felt like the wait was due to a table swap. Our waiter Mario finally showed up and took our order. When I ordered he missed the part where I asked for the 6oz sirloin and shrimp but other than that he did a great job serving. Unlike the service the food was horrid. I felt bad leaving all the food that was on the table. Definitely not worth taking as leftovers since the fried steak was heavily salted and the 6oz sirloin was so hard to chew that even tugging with my teeth was a task. The bacon on the loaded mash potatoes were hard as rocks to where I had to spit it out and stop eating. The appetizer was alright however, we normally finish it at other locations and we left more than half so that spoke volumes to us. The manager Tyler walked around the entire section greeting everyone around us but not us. And incase you wonder how I know his name it's because he said it while greeting the two table booths on the outskirts of ours. Also we had food and drinks like the others he greeted around us, so it didn't make sense to not greet us. When we were closing out we paid in cash and was told they don't have change to break $100 and I found that hard to believe (but not impossible). I was on this side of town and was told to check out Texas Roadhouse. I sat in the booths towards the far end of the restaurant. I liked the plexiglass dividers. Customer service was great. Our server was attentive enough and asked us regularly if we needed anything from her. The food was great here. I was just annoyed that I forgot to take pictures of the steak and sides here. Oh well. Let me still break down all the items we ordered: Warm dinner rolls with whipped cinnamon butter: let me tell you, these were soft, pillowy fluffs of goodness. They went so well with that lightly spiced, whipped cinnamon butter. Comfort in my mouth. Frozen margarita and sangria: these were both delicious. But, they both somehow tasted similar. I think the margarita was a bit stronger. But, these were fruity and sweet. Caesar salad: pretty good. Standard. It didn't have much dressing on it. Chili: it was delicious. It reminded me of the Zippy's chili I used to eat back in Hawaii. I liked that it had very little beans in it. The cheese and onions were a necessary and great accompaniment to the chili. Prime rib: I forgot to take a picture of this. But, I got the 12 oz steak at medium rare. It was nicely charred, seasoned well, and had a nice fat to meat ratio.
