I went to Sirrah for my birthday dinner and absolutely LOVED it. The vibes are immaculate -- dark, sexy, and moody. It's literally the perfect spot for a girls' night dinner. It's a prefix menu, and they started us off with an onion consommé and bread service. The consommé was divine -- rich in flavor and such a cozy, warm way to start the meal. The salads were good but nothing particularly special. For the main course, we had the hanger steak, and it was cooked perfectly. The fries were also great, especially with all the different dipping sauces. They knew it was my birthday, so they surprised me with a slice of ice cream cake, which was so good. The berries and cream included in the prefix menu were also delicious -- the vanilla cream was especially smooth and flavorful. Our server, Matthew, was very nice and attentive, and honestly all of the staff were incredibly sweet. Overall, we loved both the experience and the food. I'd definitely recommend Sirrah, and I'll absolutely be back.

Vibes were high here! The staff is friendly and attentive. The decor and vibes of the restaurant was decorated so pretty and unique. We shared a pre fix menu and did a side. It was the perfect amount of food for us. Hanger steak, fries and their Mac and cheese was so good! The fries are fried in beef tallow which is a huge bonus! Berries and cream dessert was the perfect palate cleanser. Highly recommend!!!

Came here for my brothers birthday dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The menu is price fix. I started with the French onion soup and salad. For the main I had the filet mignon cooked medium well. Steak was soft and just melted in your mouth

Absolutely GORGEOUS French restaurant. The aesthetic is so elegant, and picture-worthy. Perfect spot of a special night or photo moment. The steak-frites is whimsical and fun! I loved how they pour a huge amount of fries onto each table. For such a fancy restaurant i expected a bit more of the food, shocked that one of the highlights was French fries! Overall good experience though. Would've loved more variety in the pre fix menu.

You HAVE to try this place! The pre fixed $60 meal is worth every it of it! Staff is amazing and so personable. And the restaurant itself was beautiful, whoever decorated keep it up Bread basket - 10/10

We're always excited to try a new steak frites place so when we heard about Sirrah, we came to check it out. Located in the Chelsea area, this restaurant is huge. There's lots of space and it's beautiful. When the weather is nice they open the glass windows to the outside area which seems to confuse patrons as they all try to enter through there instead of the front door. Let's talk about the food. It's a $75 prefix menu with additional sides and supplements you could add. The French onion soup that they start with is an espresso sized cup of consomme. Delicious and warm. Then you move onto bread from Zabar's and a salad. The salad is lightly dressed and very balanced. Now let's talk steak and fries. I wished my steak was a bit more rare but it was fine. The fries are definitely cooked in beef fat because they taste like McDonald's used to. And that's not a bad thing. They're also unlimited so they'll keep on refilling them. The sauces is where I find could use some work. I love au poivre sauce and I felt it didn't have any peppercorn in it. And the sauces for the fries were almost too rich. The broccoli side has a hint of curry and was great. Finally you finish off with berries and creme. A classic and delicious dish. And service here is great. Everyone is super attentive and nice.

Came here for cocktails and dessert. Love the vibe here, dimly lit, and lovely ambiance. My friend and I were seated in the lounge area. Service was not the best, felt rushed ordering cocktails with the bartender. The place was very lively and instagrammable. Drinks were tasty and refreshing. I had the yuzu cocktail and my friend had the smoky cocktail. It was also my friend's birthday, the dessert was amazing, love the presentation. I would definitely come back for dinner, the food looks really good and hopefully service would be better too.

Saw the ambiance with this place and have to start out with that because it was perfect. The low lighting along with in interior giving me a sexy vibe I loved it. The perfect date night for us. The service was fantastic, our servers were very kind and friendly! They even have a whole service when it comes to the unlimited fries that I really liked! Now to the food: I'll be honest for a $75 prix fixe menu it's a little disappointing but I think the experience and setting made it worth it. Starting off with the bread nothing special going on here, though the butter was quite delicious. To the Salade Verte, the dressing was quite strong, almost a hint bitter. I was personally a fan I love a good vinaigrette but my partner wasn't. However the french onion soup they brought out as well paired surprisingly well with the salad! Along with the bread which made me happy. To the main course, we both decided to follow the menu and get a hanger streak. This might have been one of the best steaks I've had before which really shocked me considering how many different places we've tried. It also comes with three steak sauces and three fry sauces, which was a good selection! I was sad of how little steak it was but maybe that's because of how much I enjoyed it. Very flavorful and juice 10/10. In addition to our dinner we decided to get mac and cheese which... was extremely disappointing. I don't know if it was the type of cheese they used but one bite in and It was a no for me... so be aware! Lastly dessert, nothing fancy just berries and cream but the fruit was nice after the whole meal. The whole dining experience was fantastic, even from when we checked in and the cute waiting room! I would totally go here again as an another date night with my partner.

Sirrah NYC: When "Fine Dining" Fails Guests with Food Allergies My best friend and I chose Sirrah NYC for a birthday celebration expecting an elevated NYC fine-dining experience. Unfortunately, the restaurant failed repeatedly in handling celiac disease and dairy allergies, which turned what should have been a celebratory evening into a frustrating one. My gluten and dairy allergies were clearly communicated in advance and confirmed upon arrival. However, once service began, my dairy allergy was ignored. I was encouraged to order a steak finished with butter and presented with sauces containing dairy. When I pointed this out, the only solution offered was ketchup. The final straw came with dessert. Despite already addressing allergy issues multiple times, we were told dessert would be berries and cream. When reminded that dairy was not an option, the response was simply that the cream would be "on the side." This is not a safe or acceptable accommodation for someone with medically necessary dietary restrictions. Restaurants charging fine-dining prices should understand that food allergy safety and cross-contamination awareness are not optional. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Sirrah NYC to anyone with serious food allergies. I am sharing this experience factually and without exaggeration so that guests with food allergies can make informed dining decisions.

Sirrah is a standout modern French spot in the Meatpacking District with a chic, moody, maximalist vibe. The space alone sets the tone for a great night. The four-course prix-fixe steak frites experience is indulgent and fun -- perfectly cooked hanger steak, endless crispy fries, and thoughtful surprises throughout the meal. Pair it with a great glass of champagne and it's hard to beat. Excellent service, elevated food, and a lively yet refined atmosphere. Perfect for date night or a celebration. I'll definitely be back.

One of the best meals of our lives. From the service, to the drinks, to the food, Sirrah has it all. We were spoiled all night by the GM and the waiter and the food matched the perfect service. We would recommend Sirrah in a heart beat.

    Raspberry cocktail

Had a date night here and it was the best meal we've had in New York so far! The host started our night off on a great note; she was extremely sweet, offered to take our coats, and sat us at a nice table. Our server, Jules, was knowledgeable and very friendly. The food came out quickly and everything was so delicious. The raspberry cocktail was one of the best cocktails I've ever had- it tasted like raspberry sorbet. Elvis, the manager, came by our table and gave us recommendations on bars to go to. The staff here is absolutely amazing and on their A game. If there is one restaurant you go to in New York, it MUST be this one! I would come back here in a heartbeat.

Although I would've preferred to have been seated away from a family with 3 loud, ill-behaved kids, it was still a nice cozy table. Selma L. was very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu and remained very available and checked in on us often throughout our meal. I knew I wanted the Escargots en Persillade(my favorites!), and we paired them with Mushroom&Ricotta ravioli, and the Branzino. Every dish was perfectly paired with sauces and flavors blended well together. The Branzino skin was perfectly crispy, the potatoes were a little softer than I'd personally like but were still tasty. We made sure to save room for dessert and I'm so glad we did. We tried the chocolate lava cake and the cheesecake and were gifted two glasses of dessert wine and truffles. Everything is made from scratch, in-house. The New York cheesecake stood out ahead of the lava cake but I would order both again. This restaurant is perfectly situated to accommodate you for a pre-show dinner, and offer discounted meals starting at 8pm-close. We'd definitely return to try other menu items, and enjoy another date night, albeit not surrounded by kids!!!

I went to the store accordingly. The young male Hispanic employee at the register refused to hand over my bag, insisting the pickup window didn't start until 5:15. All the bags were already packed and ready. There were no other customers in line. I tried to explain how the app works and that early pickup had been allowed here before, but he repeatedly cut me off. At one point I said "if you want to play by the book, so be it" -- meaning it as a neutral acknowledgment. He took offense, raised his voice, and kept repeating "I don't play, you play" in an increasingly hostile tone. I asked if he understood the expression. He just kept repeating "I don't play." When I asked to speak with a manager, he said there wasn't one. When I asked what a customer is supposed to do when there's a problem with an employee, he told me to come back tomorrow and talk to him. This was completely avoidable. The bags were ready. It was a 5-10 minute window, allowed by the app. The confrontation served no purpose. I noticed the review posted the day before mine mentions "poor customer service at the register" -- I suspect we encountered the same person. Maman has a good reputation worth protecting. I'd encourage management to review this interaction and make sure this particular staff is trained properly.

I snagged a seat on their upstairs patio, surrounded by the kind of older, well-heeled UES regulars that give the place such a quintessential NYC vibe. I went with the $35 lunch special, which gets you an appetizer and an entrée. For my app, the Escargots de Bourgogne- absolutely the star of the meal, I could've eaten a second order. The Crêpe Forestière for my entrée was lovely too, and I washed it all down with a lemonade. Everything was genuinely delicious. My one small gripe: I got charged for two lemonades, which stung a little given that (a) it's lemonade, and (b) the glass was on the petite side to begin with. Minor quibble, though. Other than that, it was a perfect NYC lunch, exactly what I was hoping for.

While the French Onion soup was still a stand-out dish, the painfully slow service detracted. There appeared to be a single waitress working. I didn't notice during my first visit if there were multiple servers, but the first time I did hear the waiter advise another table that the kitchen was behind and there would be a wait for food. (This didn't affect me since on my first visit I only ordered soup.) Same thing happened this time, and there was a significant delay between our soup/salad course and entrees. We were told the kitchen was backed up. this is apparently the norm. For appetizers, the French onion soup was a gold star dish. My friend had the goat cheese salad which she said was also very good. The Chicken Cordon Bleu was good, and a hard-to-find dish in NYC. While eating our entrees, the server never checked on how things were or if we needed anything. Once finished, we sat there for a long time waiting for our plates to be cleared, and finally had to "announce" that we were done and request our dessert (as we had ordered the prix fixe menu). For dessert we ordered the Dame Blanche and Profiteroles. I would recommend neither. The ice cream (in both) was poor quality, crystallized and not creamy. A real shame. In all, the meal too 2.5 hours due to the slow service. The soup remains fantastic. I'm downgrading my review to recommend this spot only for soup and salad and not a full, hours-long meal. For that, it's 5 stars, for a full meal a middling 3.
