Growing up in Plymouth, I had never heard of Siros in Quincy, until my sister chose this venue for her baby shower. My son and I flew 3000 miles away for a 36 hour round-trip to be there for her on her special day. Located right on the wharf, Siros boasts a beautiful view of the ocean Harbour amongst several other restaurants and businesses. It is the perfect place for an intimate event. There were actually several baby showers happening there at the same time. Although it looks small from the outside, it does have an adequate amount of space. The food was absolutely delicious and abundant. The prices are incredibly fair. We enjoyed delicious salmon, buttered pasta, chicken, and vegetables, mashed potatoes, and warm rolls with fresh butter. You work with the event coordinator to see what they will supply and what you will bring. I believe the cake and the desserts were all brought in so they do allow for that. We had a space for the majority of the day, and as I mentioned, the prices were reasonable. Overall, I look forward to going here again to take in the beautiful view and delicious food. read more

From my perspective, this restaurant is way under rated. Everyone working the was kind and caring. Our server was Brennan and he couldn't have been more helpful and caring. He gave us time to eat and digest each course. He checked in to make sure we were doing ok. The food was amazing. I had half a Caesar salad that was very good. It wasn't loaded with any croutons which is the way I like it. My husband had the wedge salad which he enjoyed and our friend had half a Mediterranean salad which she enjoyed as well. Two of us had the scallops which were plentiful and served with an amazing risotto. The third dish was the salmon. It also had a great risotto. We shared a pieces of pistachio cheesecake for dessert. It was very good. We sat inside which still had a bit of the outdoors feel. It was a better choice for us since the outdoor dining area was very crowded. I actually only came for a wedding shower brunch, so this review only reflects the "event" dining experience (and they normally don't serve brunch). We had a pre-set menu of three different entrée options which were selected at the time of RSVP. Everyone at my table got their correct meals except one which they quickly corrected. They also served each person a bowl of fruit and we got a plate of pastries for the table to share. My partner and I haved dined at Siros for yrs now but today we had the worst service from a "waiter" ever. It started with him asking if we wanted our salads at the end of the meal. Who eats their salads at the end of the meal? Next after asking him a good 15-20 minutes where our bottle of wine was, He replied, oh, I thought you wanted that with your food when it comes out. Was here for an event hosted by one of our business partner cum friend. The food was pretty bland. The chicken piccata was so dry and had no flavour. The meat pasta was kind of okay however felt like no salt dish. The sauce had nothing to remember and felt like the restaurant either used cheaper canned tomato or used the regular grocery store Roma tomatoes. The pasta in itself was soft and perfectly cooked though. I had a dry manhattan and 1 old fashioned and both were very very strong and heavy on alcohol. Thought they make anything whiskey strong however I tried a few other drinks from my friends and all of them were very high in alcohol. It was open bar so maybe they didn't want anyone to order more and made the drinks strong. If it's true, it's definitely not a good practice. We all wish for this when we were in out undergrad years or at the start of our career. The service was great though and the servers were constantly checking on everyone even though there were around 60-70 people. Will not be back as it doesn't have that kind of view which commands a premium price. Move on. read more

Siro's would be my go-to restaurant, but hasn't been for a long time. There are just so many other new and hot restaurants to go nowadays, that Siro's is not at the top of my list. But, it does make for a nice after dinner spot. The couches outside are pretty nice, but the bartender seemed pretty frustrated and rude. I was admittedly hesitant when my friend suggested Siro's for dinner due to what I had read on Yelp. The parking situation did not help to set my mood, as the closest parking lot was reserved for permit only with some spots expressly saved for specific boats or individuals. The entrance to Siro's is on the side facing the water. They gave us a table by the window, so we had a nice view overlooking the boats towards the Boston skyline as we dined. Their bread was great and was served with a nice hummus. The entrees are well portioned, but their appetizers were generally light for the price. Their Crispy Calamari tossed with Thai chili cilantro glaze & banana peppers $14 was my favorite appetizer. The glaze gave it that special something that made it outstanding. The Rolled Eggplant roasted peppers, boursin cheese, basil, spinach, tomato sauce $11 and the Roasted Red Beet Salad baby arugula, candied pecans, ricotta salata, balsamic $14 were both tasty, but rather ordinary. As for entrees, the Short Rib Pasta braised short ribs, pappardelle pasta, roasted tomato, parmesan $24 had a good amount of meat in it and was well flavored with al dente pasta. But another DC's special of the day (a fish with string beans, mashed potatoes and lobster for $30) did her in, so she ended up taking perhaps a third of it home. I sampled her dish and enjoyed the flavors. I found the vegetable had retained a decent bite, and the mashed was quite good. The tiramisu we shared was also pretty good, and at $7, a decent price for a restaurant dessert. Service was generally friendly and acceptable, with one significant exception. I had accidentally knocked over my glass of water into my lap. As our waiter had witnessed the entire episode, I was surprised that he did not bring me a fresh napkin to replace the one I had used to sop up my embarrassment, and that he did not think to refill my glass of water. In fact, none of our glasses were topped off till another DC had drained hers and had expressly requested a refill. Additionally, a personal pet peeve of mine is when prices are not mentioned during the run down of the specials. Thus, the lapse of service knocks down the 3.5 stars to the 3 stars selected above. read more

Updating my review - we spent a few hours today on the boardwalk at Siros - it was one of the most beautiful afternoons of late September! Ordered the Mediterranean Salad (dressing is unbelievably good) and I had the tenderloin risotto (to die for). Sat outdoors on a warm October evening. Sunday evening and was not crowded. Their warm bread and home made hummus(on the house) was delicious. Vodka Martinis and Cosmo were well made. Roasted Cauliflower, and sea food Diavolo was tasty but lamb chops were too Lean and okay. Views of Boston with all the colors at sunset was Amazing and the best part of the evening. The wait staff was very rude to me and made several comments about the pace at which we were eating. Throughout the dinner other wait staff attempted to take plates, silverware and other items off the table without us even finishing our meal. This place gets 2 stars for location only. We recently went here with a large party on a Tuesday evening to celebrate an 85th birthday. We were virtually the only party in the whole restaurant with two servers to our table. There should not have been any issue with anyone's orders, however, my husband never received his meal and our drinks took forever to come out. The whole service was really quite awful considering they knew to expect a large party as we made a reservation. The food here is OK, however on this night we did not get to enjoy our meal as the service was so bad and chaotic. Our reservation called for 6 o'clock, we did not sit until 630, and by 8 my three year old was nuts and we literally left without my husband or I being able to eat. I've been here before and experienced good service and food. I'm not sure what went wrong on this occasion, but we probably won't be back for a long time. read more

I gave this place three stars, then paused for a moment while I remembered the warm spinach salad, and bumped it up to four. Siros is a very good seafood spot located in the massive Marina Bay complex. I was part of a large party that went for lunch, which is a nice way to gauge how the service and food holds up. The service was good (refreshed water glasses, second helping of bread) and the food was better. I opted for the afformentioned warm spinach salad (with blue cheese and bacon) and a lobster roll. And, thanks to the large group, got to sample some tender lamb and a delicious brownie a la mode. The view is very solid - it looks out over the Marina, which makes for good people and boat watching. Price-wise, it was a bit on the high side for what you get, but I wasn't paying so it was all good. One thing to be wary of is that apparently the whole of Marina Bay fills up with tank top wearing Yeah Dudes. So eat early. read more

Came here with a group for a dinner for Work. We were brought bread with hummus which I thought was different and I loved (also butter for non hummus eaters). We ordered a variety of apps - I tried the eggplant roll ups which I really did like. Calamari was good but nothing great- kind of plain and just really deep fried - I figured a place this nice would have lightly fried or some special spin. I went with the salmon and risotto. The pistachio crust intrigued me and did not let me down! Nice and lightly crispy outside - if it was a little more raw inside it would have been perfect! The risotto was to die for but very heavy so I couldn't finish it . The menu is shorter but a good variety of seafood/non seafood and all the apps looked amazing to me! The location is great! We came in the dead of January on a Tuesday night so it was really dead but our local client said this is the place to be in the summer and they get really packed. Foods are not bad at all, some staffs are friendly but one particular waitress is really pushy, she starts clearing out our plates when we weren't even half way through each course. My fiancé and I went here this past Friday for the first time. Everything was wonderful! We had the ahi tuna appetizer as well as the Mediterranean salad. He very much enjoyed the tuna, saying it was perfect. I liked that the salad was chopped up so I didn't have to cut anything. Also the dressing was fantastic! For entrees he had the surf and turf which he devoured, while I had the chicken and broccoli. It was wonderful. I took most of it home so I could save room for dessert. We ordered a bread pudding which was very good but the chocolate cake was the big winner! It was very moist and served warm which was a pleasant surprise.
