I heard so much positive things about their menu and Staff that we had to go and experience it for ourselves! First it was Friday and it was packed but we had reservations! We had the Best Waitress and she was the perfect compliment to our guests and table. She handled the drinks and appetizers and our dinners flawlessly! The table could have been larger for what we ordered but we all managed ! Each dish was prepared PERFECTLY! Each dish tasted PERFECTLY, each dish was plated PERFECTLY, and each dish was DEVOURED! I have not had a diner such as what we ate in years. The Chefs must be culinary Geniuses! Being 100% Italian I was overwhelmed by each meal! It was a culinary delight to have dined here! Kudos to the Staff, the Bartender Beth, our Waitress Isabella and of course the credit all goes to the Chef! Thank you! read more

The food. The service. I've been at the opening. It dropped some amenities. Still great. Those pickled jadeaniers. Are greatly needed.

My favorite! Visit Molinari's and get take out , always consistent, best ceasar salad, fried clams so good, great apps, don't even have to mention Italian dishes, always great! Waitstaff always friendly, ahhhhh just a favorite, very comfortable for when I go solo! read more

I have not found Boston pizza that compares to NY pizza.. and this was very average. My boyfriend got the La Bocca and I got the La Lucca. Pros: great size, fair price, really cool flavor combinations. Cons: not generous with the "fancier" toppings (like the meatballs on my pizza), flavorless crust, too floppy, overwhelming garlic on mine. I think we would give them another chance because I really haven't found any pizza places that impress me here and they are great price and size for sharing. read more

Absolutely fantastic place! Drove an hour and half from Connecticut to meet my nephew and his husband there and it was worth it. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the difficulty in finding a parking space. Service by our waitress; Gracie was awesome... 5 stars!! The food was also fantastic. Started off with a meatball appetizer which was delicious. I also got a very nice Ceaser salad which I very much enjoyed. My Chicken Parm with fresh pasta was also delicious. My wife truly enjoyed her Eggplant Parm and my nephew loved his Citrus Salad with Chicken. His husband also loved his Chicken Parm. We had two orders of complimentary bread. Great vibe! I think I might try the pizza next time. read more

We were in Boston celebrating my husband's birthday and stumbled upon Molinari's on OpenTable--so we decided to book his birthday dinner there. It ended up being one of the best choices of our trip. Pros: The atmosphere is intimate in the best way, and the staff was incredibly attentive from start to finish. The price point was great, especially considering that the food was absolutely phenomenal--truly the best meal we had in Boston. The place was packed for a random Wednesday night, which says a lot. Cons: There honestly aren't many. If I had to pick one, it would be that the restaurant is definitely on the smaller side, so seating can feel a bit tight. Also, watching people attempt parallel parking outside was unintentionally hilarious--not a complaint about the restaurant, just free entertainment. Overall, I'd absolutely recommend giving Molinari's a try. They were amazing, and if (or really, when) we come back to Boston, we'll definitely be visiting again. read more

Stopped in Dot for dinner this past week. First time at Molinari! We were seated right away before the dinner rush. The staff seems nice, gets you what you request quickly! We ordered: Calamari, standard fried calamari with marinara dip sauce. It was crispy and wasn't rubbery but it was definitely bland in way of the batter itself. So the sauce helped. The pizzas were both great! The burrata pizza i added sausage and it had a nice Bianca style oil base. The hot honey prosciutto pizza was full of topping and flavor. The dough for their pizzas are good, still good after air frying it in oven post freezing the leftovers! Will be back. read more

Presentation: 5 stars Service: 4 stars Food: 2 stars I really wanted to be head over heels for this place. I really really did. No freezer, everything hand prepared or hand delivered that day. So why the low score if the presentation and service are so good? Food. Food is the beating heart at the center of every restaurant. If the food is underwhlming it srags the experience of everything else down, so as a rating it is weighted hevaier than the others. Heres why: Portions: 2 stars. Portions seemed small. When I saw my plate I was underwhelmed vs a plate from a chain like Olive Garden. Taste: s stars. Bland, I'm sorry to say. Normally in Italian food there is an avalance of spices. There is a pungent aroma. I didnt spot many spices in my food and I had to personally request salt to add it to my food as there was none on the table. The pasta is made there daily. I'm no expert but I believe salt is added to pasta when you make it? Maybe I'm wrong and tradtional pasta dishes are very bland and flavorless. I had to add a lot of salt and pepper to make the food palatable. I'm not a conosoir(sp?) by any stretch but when I eat I expect to feel some measure of joy and satisfaction from the food itself. I didnt feel that joy. Eating was just a task I was accomplishing at the restaurant as I spent company with loved ones. I hate to leave this review because the people seemed really nice. I hope they dont hate me after they read this. read more

I was very excited to try this place. It was difficult to get a reservation. The eggplant appetizer and arancini were excellent. The pasta was a bit of a disappointment. I ordered the lamb bologenese, which was way, WAY too sweet. My pasta, while fresh, was overcooked. My husband's dish was bland, qnd also obercooked. Overall, not sure what the fuss is about. Maybe they were having an off day? We are new to the neighborhood, and i was really hoping to have excellent Italian nearby. A bit disappointment overall. read more

My fiancé and I went here for our anniversary dinner and it was wonderful! The inside is cute and has a family feel and it's a smaller more intimate spot. We got pizza and pasta and both were delicious. The chicken cutlet I got on my pasta was some of the best chicken I've ever had. I also recommend asking for the bread before the meal, the oil it comes with is really good. read more

I ordered takeout recently for the second time thinking I should give it another chance even though my last order (including the mussels) was disappointing. Unfortunately this order also disappointed. The melanzana had a strange flavor/fragrance. it smelled kind of fishy. l don't think I'll be going back read more

We were looking for a new pizza place to try & decided to give Molinari's a visit. I've probably driven by thousands of times and never realized it was right here all along! What we ordered: -calamari -burrata pizza with sausage -honey truffle pizza with bacon + prosciutto -ginger ale -Shirley temple Okay, so the first two things that arrived to the table were: Shirley temple & the calamari. I'm really not much of a soda drinker but every so often, I'll go for a Shirley temple. This one was very syrup-y upon the first sip and after mixing it, it still tasted pretty syrup-y, which I wasn't really a fan of. The calamari arrived very light in color & we were already kind of skeptical before trying it. It was as bland it looked & as we thought but luckily the sauce did help. Now, for the pizzas, probably the only thing that I would come back for. My favorite of the two we ordered was the burrata pizza with sausage added. Both had great flavor but I definitely like the burrata one more than the honey truffle pizza. For the pizzas, we were given large empty, cleaned out tomato sauce cans to use as stands for the pizzas. I liked the concept but the cans didn't serve as the best base for the pizzas. Definitely have to be careful handling the pizza slices because no sturdy base. Overall, I would come back for the burrata pizza and try other pizzas that they offer. Our server was really nice & super attentive. Parking: can be tricky because parking is limited. We lucked out with a parking spot right outside. read more

Molinari's is an Italian restaurant located in Dorchester. I had lunch there and street parking is free for 2 hours during daytime hours. Inside it is a table service restaurant with a small bar area. I ordered the pappardelle bolognese for $18 and the food arrived less than 15 minutes later. It was just what was advertised and what I wanted. A big bowl of fresh hand cut pappardelle with a large dose of meat sauce on top consisting of beef and pork with tomatoes, garlic, onions and seasonings to give it added flavor. It was a lot of food that tasted very good. I really liked the pasta and there was plenty of meat sauce left over. Gracie provided table service that was warm and friendly. I would be happy to return. read more

We had a wonderful time at Molinari's on Saturday night....Three of us for a birthday dinner. It was our first time there. It was busy and everyone was so attentive and pleasant. We ordered a pizza for an appetizer for the table...best idea ever. The pizza was amazing! The meals we had were delicious, good sized servings. The chef came out of the kitchen a couple of times to check on customers. The manager stopped by to check on everything. There was even a candle on the tiramisu! It is a very friendly and well run restaurant. They will definitely see us again! Thank you for everything read more

4 of us visited there a few weeks ago on a Friday night . We love Molinari's. Menu is diverse and food quality is high end. Pizza's, pastas, salads are all excellent. We loved our sitting at the bar watching the chefs prepare the dishes and the wood fired pizza oven. Servers are on top of everything and we were especially impressed with Regina. Very personable, professional and attentive. Always look forward to returning. read more

I don't often go out for Italian, but when I do, I go to Molinari's! This is a great cozy neighborhood spot, the staff are always super friendly. I would recommend getting a reservation, they get quite busy for dinner. We've probably tried all the pizzas and pastas at this point, everything we've had has been excellent. They must sprinkle some magic fairy dust in all of their sauces because the pastas are addicting! read more

New to the neighborhood and wanted to try this spot as I have heard it's great! My boyfriend and I got the meatballs and arranci to start. They were both delicious and large portions. The menu is huge! They have pizza and salads and so many pastas! The serving sizes for the dinner entrees I got the one with the colorado lamb and my boyfriend for the bologonse. Both were just alright definitely okay for the price and being in the neighborhood. We called ahead to have them see if there was room. They were packed but were able to seat us within 5 mins of being there. Our server was nice and friendly. Vibes inside are cute and coozy but tables are small and close together read more

Came in on a Sunday night walk in. They were SUPER busy and seems to be a popular spot for Quincy. Everything is reasonably priced but the add on will add up for sure. My bf and I ordered an app and 2 entrees. We sat at the front so we saw how our food was made. Archini Balls: Super small compared to normal ones. They were just ok. Tasted the cheese but probably below average archini especially the sauce. Not a lot of flavoring in tomato sauce, more on the citrus side Short rib ravioli: doused in a mushroom sauce, which was good but probably not the best for this dish. The short rib itself inside wasn't that well seasoned, a bit dry tbh. Lasagna bolognese: same sauce as archini balls, a bit citrus but the pasta was tender. Again, everything had the natural flavors but nothing stood out and nothing felt added to bring everything together Overall, we would order again if we were really craving average pasta and didn't want to travel further read more

My partner and I ordered a Sandy pizza and Margherita pizza (but we were mistakenly handed a cheese pizza instead of our Margherita) - TASTE: 4/5 - the Sandy pizza was the star of the show! So tasty w all of the mushroom varieties plus the truffle oil -- chef's kiss. The cheese pizza was strong on the cheese, which was great. Would've liked more of the tomato sauce to come through too though TEXTURE: 4/5 - both pizzas were light w thin crusts. Wish the dough was more crisp on the bottom. Loved the texture that the farm eggs brought to the Sandy PRICE: 4/5 - both pizzas were $19 SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - got a few slices of each leftover for tomorrow! SERVICE: 4/5 - ordered ahead online on a Friday evening, and our food was ready when we picked it up at Molinari's 45min later (as estimated when we placed our order). Obviously wish we got our intended Margherita, and we should've checked inside of the pizza boxes before driving home, but the mixup was probably an honest mistake; we'd come back to try more pizzas (and the pastas)! ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - was only inside for a couple minutes, but the space felt modern, and small but bustling PARKING: 4/5 - parked briefly w my hazard lights on, right in front of Molinari's, on Adams St read more

Went into Molinari's this past Friday night, they were quite busy. Two couples in front of us were seated (by a woman hostess) at the bar because there was a long wait for a table, when the host (a gentleman) came to us he said there was an hour wait for a table and I suggested the bar he told me you needed reservations for the bar which obviously wasn't true because they sat the two couples before us who did not have reservations. He then just basically told us we should leave because there was no seating. Never asked to take our name so we could wait or even suggest we go to the bar for a drink and wait for a table to open. Terrible service from a host who just wanted the night to be over. Management should really look into how their people interact with their customers, as I have heard nothing but good things about the restaurant and was looking forward to trying it for myself. read more

Ordered delivery got a specialty pizza and their steak sandwich specifically asked for no mushrooms because of an allergy and asked to add onions. The sandwich was covered in mushrooms had no onions and they really skimped on the steak. Chicken Ziti Broccoli is terrible! I substituted the ziti for pappardelle pasta but that is beside the point. The white sauce had absolutely no flavor at all, the chicken was extremely dry and tough to eat, and for some reason the broccoli was so overwhelming, like that's all I could taste. Something has definitely changed. Will never order again. read more

Chicken broccoli ziti was bland beyond belief. The wine pour was insulting for a neighborhood casual spot. I would like to try the pizza.

Excellent service at the bar. The eggplant appetizer was delicious! It's served with a nice red sauce. We also tried the pasta with vodka sauce and sausage. One of the better vodka sauces I've had in the past 5 years. Only problem was that the pasta was over cooked! ( Too soft). Overall, we had a nice time and even met chef Jeff. I'll be back! read more

Molinari's is excellent. Creative dishes, fresh ingredients.
