As soon as I walked in, the staff greeted me right away. Everyone was so warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. It's rare to walk into a place where the whole team is smiling, so I really appreciated that energy. I ordered the espresso citron tonic, and it came out in about 5-8 minutes. I'm a big espresso tonic fan, so my expectations were high and this one did not disappoint. It had a bright citrus flavor, was perfectly balanced, and wasn't overly sweet. Coffee Bodega was just around the corner of my destination, and it was a 5 minute walk from the Embarcadero bus station where I made my stop. The cafe was located in a little alley way next to Tender Greens and an ice cream parlor. I was feeling the earthy vibe of the place. I could see how the place paid homage to South American cultures with their coffee and food (i.e. arepas, empanadas, and alfajores). As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the most welcoming barista, which honestly made my day. She went above and beyond with her friendliness, helpfulness, and overall hospitality.
