A classic Pho staple right near campus. Although I'm not always craving this place, it does hit the spot eventually on rainy days which are the only times I come. I always get their seafood pho which has generous helpings of seafood. The broth is slightly bland but that can be easily remedied with sriracha and hoisin. I've tried their rangoons and bbq buns and those were actually really amazing. The bbq pork was marinated really well and cooked amazingly. The only downside is that the items are slightly pricey.
This is a perfect low key date on a cold day souper cozy pho . The line was long but the pho was fast . The service was professional . Parking could be an issue on a weekend night beware . The pho was rich a flavorful . The crab Rangoon's were fried beautifully . I think this is a great solo date or couple date . O
Tried Sip Pho for the first time and had a great experience. As soon as we walked in, the restaurant felt very clean with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. You place your order at the front before being seated, which was an easy process. The staff was friendly, and the food came out quickly. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue, and my husband ordered the Sip Pho. Both broths were rich and flavorful. The portions were generous, and they definitely did not skimp on the meat. My Bun Bo Hue came with a beef rib that was tender and delicious. One unique thing was the noodles in the Sip pho bowl--they were slightly thicker than vermicelli, which was different but not a big deal. For drinks, I ordered the Matcha Green Thai Tea. It had an interesting flavor combination, but the matcha taste was a bit overpowered by the green Thai tea. It was still enjoyable, though slightly too floral and sweet for my personal preference. The prices were very reasonable, and they offered a great variety of pho, vermicelli bowls, rice dishes, and appetizers. Next time I visit, I'd love to try the egg rolls since I noticed many people ordering them. The only downside was parking. There are about six spots in front of the restaurant, with additional parking in the back. It was a little difficult to find a spot, likely because we visited on a weekend. Overall, I would definitely come back again.
Craving Pho and made a stop here on a Saturday a little before 2pm. Parking is terrible but if you can walk or find a spot it's definitely worth it. Ordered the waygu pho and the vermicelli short ribs. Got seated inside and we were served very promptly. First out was the pho waygu. The waygu portion was very sizable which for the price was appropriate. Cooked directly how you like in the steaming bowl of broth. The meat was fresh and tender, the broth was spiced beautifully. Very rich and flavorful. The short ribs were also delicious, albeit served not at the same time. Marinated in a sweet savory sauce, slightly chewy but this did NOT detract from the overall deliciousness of the dish. Heaping portions of both. The place is an order at the counter, served at the table spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Kinda tight on room inside but still an OK set up. The prices are def not poor college kid prices, over $50 for our two dishes but again, banging flavors and huge portions so worth it if you come hungry and are craving some great Vietnamese food.
Sip Pho is the spot! Came here on a Sunday during brunch hours after a night of drinking, and this place hit the spot! We ordered the pork egg rolls, "The Works" Pho (Pho Dac Biet for us Viet folks), Bun Bo Hue, and Vietnamese Coffee. Everything we ordered was phenomenal. The quality of the food and portion size was worth it. The Bun Bo Hue came with a huge short rib, and had meat normally found in Pho. It was unique to see and very tasty. Located near UT- Austin, so generally had a younger crowd as well as local families wanting to enjoy delicious Pho. You order at the counter and then seat yourself after. Chill atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. Absolutely recommend this place and will be back!
Rating: 4.1/5 [dine in] There's limited parking in front of the restaurant, but we were lucky to snag a spot right out front. To dine in, you order at the counter first; they'll then assign you a table and give you a table number. The food came out fairly quickly, and the portion sizes were generous but it was lacking the Vietnamese authenticity we were looking for. The interior design is very cozy with cool hanging paper fans. Rice Grill Combo ($18): You get to choose two proteins; we picked the pork chops and beef short ribs. It also comes with a side of light broth. The short ribs were better than the pork chops, but overall, the dish didn't really stand out. Matcha Thai Tea with Aloe Vera Jelly ($6.50) + Oat Milk Sub ($0.50): Pretty good! It had that distinct green Thai tea flavor that paired nicely with the matcha. The aloe vera jelly made it especially refreshing. Banh Mi Pork Belly ($11): This was a massive sandwich--I was full after just half. The pork belly was flavorful and well-marinated, though a bit on the salty side. While the sandwich was loaded with fresh veggies, it didn't quite come together as a cohesive bite. The pork belly was overpowering and threw off the balance. We actually thought the pork belly would've worked better as a rice dish than in a banh mi.
Delicious pho and banh mi served in an inviting bright room with reasonable acoustics at a good price. The staff are friendly and helpful. My shrimp and chicken were somewhat overcooked... but given the heat of the broth, this was inevitable. Consider this when you select your protein. This is a fine place to dine on your own. I was so hungry that I forgot to take photographs. There are four or five parking spots in front of the restaurant and a few behind, but don't even think of parking next-door at Kabobzi's. They tow.
I ordered the bun bo hue and had a really concerning experience. I understand this dish is supposed to have a strong, complex flavor with ingredients like lemongrass and sometimes a hint of pineapple, along with fermented shrimp paste--but this tasted completely off. The broth was overwhelmingly dominated by a harsh shrimp smell and flavor, with none of the balance I expected. There was no lemongrass aroma, no brightness, just an intense, almost unpleasant shrimp taste that made it hard to eat. Shortly after trying it, I started feeling nauseous and had noticeable stomach discomfort. I couldn't continue eating. I'm not sure if this was due to improper preparation or ingredient quality, but it definitely didn't feel right. This experience made me seriously question the food quality and safety here. Even bold, traditional dishes should still taste balanced and not make customers feel physically unwell. I wouldn't feel comfortable ordering again unless this is addressed.
The combination pho bowl is my go-to choice when it comes to pho restaurants, and I felt like the restaurant used high-quality meat for my dish! The brisket and rare steak were lean and in general, the overall ratio between the meat and noodles met my expectations. The rice noodles that they use are a bit wider than the standard rice noodles that come with other pho restaurants, so that was a nice surprise! They have an unlimited side bar where you can grab extra toppings like lime wedges, cilantro, red onions, etc. which I really appreciated. The only thing I would caution is their limited parking spots -- there's some parking in front of the restaurant and some additional parking spots in the back through the alleyway, but in general, space is tight. Please be careful of parking spots that belong to other stores (watch for tow signs), because I've heard they actually do end up towing vehicles parked incorrectly.
GO TO THIS PLACE!!! - super cute location near lots of thrift stores/ restaurants - staff were friendly and food reasonably priced (soda, beef broth pho bowl, and egg rolls cost me around $21) - service was SO quick, I mean like we had all our food within 5 minutes of ordering. Amazing - food was DELISH and huge portions. I barely finished half my meal and was pretty hungry beforehand. Definitely recommend. Don't miss out.

If anyone around UT is seeking quality pho, I'll for sure suggest Sip Pho. Especially if you have a UT ID, 10% off discount! This place is almost always busy! There are some parking spots in the front and more in the back, but sometimes it still takes a bit of time to get a spot. There are many indoor seats and several outdoor tables in the back. The staff is friendly, helps introduce the menu, and is proactive about dietary restrictions. Vegetarian and vegan options are available! We came for lunch on a weekday, and about half of the indoor seats were occupied. Bun Bo Hue is a classic dish. The amount of meat in this dish is very satisfying. In addition to the beef rib, there are also meatballs, ham, and beef slices. The beef slices are added to the bowl raw and cooked when the boiling hot broth is added, so by the time the dish is at your table, the beef slices are still very tender! The broth is just spicy enough for an extra kick for the flavor. The second item we ordered may not be listed on the standard menu, but it is available! I asked for eggroll vermicelli. Vermicelli and fresh veggies with fish sauce are very appetizing on a hot summer day. As a Taiwanese person, I especially enjoy the pickled cabbage. The sweet and sour taste is very authentic; just a small bite sends me right back home. The self-serve topping bar provides lime slices, cilantro, jalapeno, and red onion for anyone wanting extra flavors. I was there yesterday, October 14th, 2025. I ordered hot tea. The pot was 1/3 full. When I asked for more hot water, when the waitress returned with the pot she said that this time the water was free, but for next time I'll have to pay for it. When I looked at the pot, it had about 1/2" of water. If you spend $30 on a meal, at least a full tea pot is expected. Very disappointed of the terrible customer service and the attitude. read more

MUST TRY PHO IN ATX!!! This is my go-to Pho spot in Austin. They have multiple beef , seafood , and vegan options for their Pho. I recommend the Sip Bowl which includes a combination of all beef proteins. The Broth is why I keep coming back, it's simple but super flavorful you can actually taste each ingredient with each sip. Never too salty or bland, it's perfect everytime It's always busy but the service is quick and everyone their is super cool Once you have your spot either inside or in the patio section, they provide water pitcher to take with you. They also have Ban Mi and Boba. The Grilled Lemongrass Beef Ban Mi and the Boba Brûlée are the stars of the show. Sometimes there's a line but I never waited more than 20 min even at their busiest days. There's not much parking so I would recommend to park on a street near by and walk or if you coming from campus the 1, 30, 481 and 3 buses stop like a min. away from sip pho. The building itself has a simple, clean, and calm design with a tall ceiling and large windows that bring a lot of natural light. A cool contrast to the other buildings around the area. This is my favorite spot around UT (discount with UT ID!) They do have a small lot in front and behind the restaurant, so they always a plus. Plenty of denting indoors, as well as a covered outdoor patio. The staff is always very welcoming. There was a mix up with my order and the server insisted on making sure it was right with the kitchen! They always have really great portion sizes. Plenty of vegan/vegetarian friendly options. I love their table set up, all do your utensils, napkins, hand sanitizer right within arms reach! I had the rice bowl with tofu and the tofu bao. Delicious!! read more

After a long, chilly night of drinks, my boyfriend and I were craving something warm, nutritious, and flavorful, so we walked to Sip Pho--and it did not disappoint. Ordering at the front was super easy, and the staff was exceptionally kind. Seriously, their 10/10 service stood out. I also loved that they offered a UT discount (go Longhorns!) and even have a military discount. We ordered the beef pho and wagyu pho, and both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced--not too sweet or too heavy on one spice, which can sometimes happen with pho. It was warm, hearty, and left me feeling full and satisfied. To top it off, I grabbed a Vietnamese iced coffee. It was super strong, which I personally loved, but it was a little intense for my boyfriend. The adorable cup it came in totally made up for it, though--I loved it so much I took it home, washed it, and kept it! The restaurant itself was stunning, beautifully decorated with lots of natural sunlight streaming in. It was cozy and inviting, although the seating can be a little tight, especially with a full house (and it was definitely packed when we visited). Overall, Sip Pho is a must-visit! Best pho in Austin! I have avoided coming here after seeing the long line every time I drive by, but finally decided it was probably worth the wait. The line was out the door, but it only took us about 15-20 minutes to order and the server seated us immediately after we ordered. The tables inside are cafeteria-style but they provide some divisors to give you more privacy. Our food and drinks arrived very quickly and we were blown away by the quality of the pho! I ordered the beef broth pho with tenderloin and brisket and it was absolutely delicious. The broth is not overly greasy and packed with flavor. They also give you a ton of the traditional toppings, so you have a fragrant bowl of veggies with your noodles and meat. I also got the matcha green thai tea and was so impressed by how soft and chewy the boba was. It tasted like it was freshly made. There was a line out the door and around the building when I went. My friend and I both agreed we would not stand in that line again and really wouldn't even go back again anyways. I got the wagyu pho which was mediocre. The broth was bland. It wasn't horrible, but there's much better pho in Austin. Aside from the food, The place was clean with plenty of seating, and servers were quick. Parking was awful- they have a small section behind the building. The brown milk brûlée boba and matcha drinks were absolutely delightful! Lots of students are there so it can be loud and packed, not ideal for dates or a quick bite. read more

The food: I'm a sucker for a fancy drink and boba most of all. $6 is the perfect price point to hook me every time. I usually get a Thai tea at most places but the passionfruit tea with lychee jelly was the perfect counterpoint to the salty, savory pho. I got the Beef Pho and it was just what I needed while trying to kick a cough and stuffy nose. Can't wait to try the Banh mi next time. The vibe: minimalistic coffee house but make it pho. Loved the communal tables which was perfect for our coworker lunch. There were plants everywhere and natural light all around. I felt like I was in a garden rather than inside. Many apologies to the plant I brushed up against and broke the frond on. I have faith you will thrive and we will laugh about this later. The patio looks very inviting as well. The service: The staff we helpful and so efficient in getting food out. Their payment service was down but they had signage everywhere that cash and Venmo would be accepted. The Beef Pho with Brisket and Flank was packed with rich beef flavor and perfectly cooked noodles. The food comes out really fast, making it ideal for a quick yet comforting meal. They also offer a 10% student discount for UT Austin students (this spot is really popular within the UT community!). We were hungry for Pho and decided to give this place a try because we were in the area. It's located in the old Ruby's BBQ building near the UT campus. My hubby and I both had the pho with rare beef and meatballs. The soup came piping hot and had plenty of meat and noodles. Like other pho restaurants the soup is served with bean sprouts, jalapeños, Thai basil, and lime on the side. They also have a side bar where you can help yourself to additional onion, jalapeños (both pickled and fresh), and cilantro. You order at the counter but the food is brought to you at the table. The broth is delicious along with all the option choices. Pho Beef Rib is super tasty and so is the Pho Wagyu (although not necessarily high grade) is very delicious. The Pho Wonton Works has the right combination of pork-shrimp wontons, with add'l shrimp and chicken. The egg rolls are crispy and satisfies my crunchy craving. What!? How did I not know about this place!! They even give a UT discount. If it wasn't a little far, I would probably go weekly. The banh mi pork sandwich was delicious, savory and fresh. It was filling and memorable. My colleague also got a banh mi sandwich and said he goes quite often and catches any bus north from campus. The walk isn't bad either, you just need like 15 minutes depending on where you are returning to on campus. Lastly, the restaurant itself is beautiful. There is enough room for a big party but I would call ahead because I'm not sure if they do reservations. I highly recommend for your next lunch outing! read more

Every time a colleague mentions their favorite pho place, I counter with Sip Pho. This place is one you must get to early (at 11am) in order to get a seat when it's 90º or above because the outdoor seating will make you sweat! I have ordered the pork belly banh mi, the chicken pho, variations of the beef pho and the crab rangoons. All of these are perfect! The staff is super nice and even though they're not table service, they sometimes will come and check on you. I love the side dish bar where I can load up on limes and cilantro. The building is beautiful and so are the many moments I have shared here. You've gotta check it out! read more

The pho is great here, I would recommend getting the beef pho, it literally melts in your mouth. The service was great and fast, but sip pho can get busy sometimes and slow down a bit. It's very cozy in there and there's outside seating as well. read more

I had the beef broth pho with brisket and rare steak, it was the best pho I've ever had! The broth cooked the steak and made it perfect. It came out in less than 10 minutes and it was very hot and fresh. You definitely get your moneys worth with how much meat and veggies they put in the bowl. it's excellent every single time. food is amazing and the student discount is nice. cute vibes as well. it's very busy all the time so expect to wait. last time i went here it was 35 degrees outside and i still elected to sit on their unheard patio to eat because it is so delicious. read more
Great Vietnamese food by campus. Menu somewhat limited but everything is great. Grill meats as a salad, over vermicelli, or rice. Pho, banh mi. Always tasty. Savory meats. Crispy veg. Fast friendly service. Order first and they will assign you a table. Bright clean communal tables divided with service wear. read more
