DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER. Our condo complex had an outage for over a month and they were always saying it was some sort of global issue that would be fixed the next day. We believe they didn't pay their bills and were locked out of internet transit in their data center in chicago. I would give this internet service 0 stars if I could. Unfortunately, residents in our apartment building are not allowed to choose their own internet provider and are forced to use this service. If we had a choice, I would have switched long ago. The service is unreliable, frequently goes down, and causes major disruptions for people who work from home, attend online classes, take exams, or simply need a dependable connection. Every time there is an outage, building management contacts the provider, and we are repeatedly told that the issue is being fixed. Yet the same problems continue to happen over and over again. The most recent outage has lasted five days, which is completely unacceptable in 2026 when reliable internet is essential for work, education, communication, and daily life. The lack of urgency and accountability is extremely frustrating. Customer support has not been helpful, communication is poor, and there never seems to be a permanent solution. Residents deserve a service that works consistently, especially when they have no option to choose an alternative provider. This has been one of the most frustrating internet experiences I have ever had, and I would not recommend this service to anyone. read more

Unfortunately this provider is required for my apartment building and if I known how much their service gets disrupted I would've reconsidered signing the lease. I've never had so much constant disruption in less than 9 months of service. I'm actually writing right now as my hub for my smart home apps is offline and all devices in my home are disconnected from the internet. I've had to call multiple times about a previous issue where every few weeks a couple of my devices would be dropped-- not all, nor the same ones. It has been very inconvenient. It's still my work hours and I have not been able to resume service for the past hour for any of my devices. Slow.. Constant service interruptions. We've have been unable to connect to any servers for more than a week. By servers, I mean, streaming services on my TV wont load, both of my Xbox's , we cant play any games on, we cant connect to any servers. I've had the displeasure of using their WiFi since it's included in my apartment complex. Some of the worst WiFi I have ever experienced. First, the speeds dip drastically and often times disconnect entirely. I'm convinced there's some throttling going on or they just straight up don't do any maintenance on the modems in our complex. The insanely slow wifi might be okay for other communities--but I live in a student apartment community. Everyone here relies on the internet for their homework and everyday lives. The fact that we can't do basic tasks because of this ISP's incompetence is infuriating. Customer service is next to useless, even if the workers may want to genuinely help. They don't seem to be very knowledgeable in my opinion. I had them straight-up tell me I must have a hardware issue with my device if I cannot connect to their Internet. It was a bunch of BS since I could connect it to other homes' Internet connection. But why actually fix the problem when you can just gaslight your customer? I hope this company goes out of business. The internet service in our apartment has been consistently terrible. We're dealing with single-digit speeds when it does work, and frequent outages when it doesn't. Just two weeks ago, it was down for three full days, and we couldn't even get in contact with the company. Now it's out again. We were told engineers were creating a ticket and that a technician would be sent out "as soon as possible." We were also promised a callback with an update later that evening--no surprise, that never happened. Even when the internet is working, it's extremely slow, constantly lags, and repeatedly disconnects our devices. We're forced to re-register them over and over again, which is incredibly frustrating. This is by far the worst internet provider I've ever dealt with. They are inefficient, unreliable, and fail to follow through on what they say. Absolutely unacceptable service. I have spent over 2 hours on hold the last few days, they have given me an expedited service ticket number but not shown up to do anything since Monday. Today is Thursday. Absolutely awful. I rarely leave 1 star reviews on anything EVER. I am a nursing student. I take many classes and best believe I have plenty of exams. Wi-Fi will go out when I need it the most. I have an exam for biology due tonight and the internet has been out since 1AM. Mind you this is not the first time this has happened this year. Now for the next issue when the Wi-Fi isn't completely out. It has such bad hiccups in the connection that kicks me out of zoom calls and other video conferences. You so much as sit wrong and it goes from 3 bars to 1. If you want at least somewhat decent connection, place a chair next to wherever they put the router and sit directly next to it and make sure not even a piece of paper is between you and the router. Though everyone in this review section seems to have the same issue, I cannot emphasize my anger enough. I, as many of you, have fallen victim to an apartment complex's relationship with this company. Why they continue to pair with Simple Digits, I have no idea under God's brightest sun. I live in a townhome/apartment with 4 other girls, all college students, nearing the end of our college careers, assignments and meetings are explicitly important. But after 7 days of, COMPLETELY, no wifi... we made the devastating decision to call. 6 phone calls (myself), 7 calls (my roommate), and three hours later, we have multiple ticket numbers, strained vocal cords... and you guessed it, not a single strand of wifi. This company still being in business, is harder to comprehend than space's ability to expand. Please look into the WiFi providers of your apartments before signing, and Simple Digits, I hope you feel the shame of the hundreds of disappointed customers you have who despise you. No one would choose Singledigits if they had a choice. Service is beyond bad - internet goes out for a few seconds unexpectedly and without reason, which can adversely affect downloads; repairs are done whenever they get around to it. If you have a problem on Friday afternoon or on the weekend, don't expect anything to be done before Monday. Best part is they will lie and tell you they're working on it. In the 6 months I've lived here Single Digits has had community-wide outages in canvas upwards of 4 separate times and lasting towards a week on end (one during finals week) and the most recent being 2 days ago. Constant internet outage with no information given to customers on what/when/why/how leads to speculation about the trustworthiness of the company. Honestly not sure how Single Digits win so many bids with large apartment/condo complexes with so many negative feedback. My apartment complex currently uses Single Digits, and setting the internet and cable up was a pain! It seems that Single Digits is the middle man for DirectTV and the internet provider. Anyway, the internet technicians on the phone do not know what they're doing. You will be on hold for at least an hour before getting to a technician. Once you are on the phone with them, they may "disconnect" and you'll need to dial back in again and wait another hour just to be connected with someone else who is also clueless as to how to activate your internet service in a high rise. For cable representative, you'll need to tell them what equipment you're expecting. Insane! read more

If i could rate this lower I would. They are our main wifi provider in Claremont, CA, and it is down CONSTANTLY, and most of the time, down for anywhere minimum of 5-7 days, sometimes more. Which is worse considering this is a student living complex where wifi is pretty much essential. If you call customer support, youre going to be on hold and trying to actually talk to someone for at LEAST an hour, and when you actually get to talk to them, they are either unhelpful, inept, unknowledgeable, or straight up hard to understand because they talk too quietly or have a hard to understand accent with no attempt at even sounding like they speak english in a comprehensible way. When you finally do get a tech out there, they are going to tell you it's a hardware issue or they have problems with their equipment, but will absolutely not fix their equipment. We've had a tech tell us he would be right back to check on their equipment and not return, leaving us wondering where the hell he went, and only found out that there were issues with their hardware he found (but did not fix) only after calling customer support for another hour. I don't know what possesses apartment complexes to pair with Single Digits, maybe the price for them, but man that is representative of the service they pay for. Anyway, I hate single digits, multiple buildings are out of wifi every other month for a week, staff and management hate them and talk crap with us about their techs being rude and unhelpful, and if you're considering an apartment complex that has Single Digits, back to the apartment search you go. read more

I'm having a really bad experience with Single Digits, and I'm mostly using this review to encourage other people struggling with this company to file an FCC consumer complaint with them. The process was very easy, and the FCC forwarded my complaint to Single Digits, requiring them to respond in 30 days. No response yet, but I at least feel they will be held accountable. I moved to the LA metro area about two months ago, and my apartment complex contracts through Single Digits. My internet is included in my monthly rent payment. Since I've moved in, my internet is shockingly slow - like 3 mbps slow. I called up Single Digits repeatedly, and it took them 3 weeks to send out a technician, who merely confirmed that my internet was slow, and did not come prepared to solve this problem. In the following weeks (it's almost been a month since a technician visited), they've claimed they need to order equipment (a wifi access point, specifically...as an internet provider, I'll never understand why they have to order it), that the equipment has shipped (9 days ago)...and yet I just got a call 3 days ago that now the equipment has really shipped. I'm a full time student and to not have wifi but be paying for it through my rent is insanely frustrating. The wifi is so poor, my phone won't even stay connected to it. Any other internet provider I've worked with (Spectrum, AT&T, Xfinity) were very prompt with any issues I've had - AT&T once showed up at my door the next day when my fiber connection wasn't working. I filed a BBB complaint and more importantly, an FCC complaint, against Single Digits. Please do the same if you feel so inclined, as it seems the FCC is trying to hold them accountable. I'll also be sending in a complaint to the property management company. Knowing what I know now, I would not rent from another building that uses Single Digits for their internet provider. read more
