    I'm really sorry to have to give out two stars after visiting this place but I'm being generous…read more During and after the COVID pandemic I've been giving businesses the benefit of the doubt. The first sign that this was going to be different was upon entering. The front desk attendant was engaged in an animated conversation with a fellow worker. Obviously too busy to acknowledge customers. I came over looking at the possibility of purchasing a small sound system for our nonprofit's meetings. I stepped into the sound system area. An employee was looking into infinity and an open Sudoku game on his smartphone. I asked where I could find such sound systems and he seemed to be bothered by my intrusion into his Sudoku. He pointed towards the WiFi section. Not a peep. I thought about their training process at Best Buy and how it could be improved. I then stepped in the WiFi and boom box area. An employee was idling by but when she saw me, she stepped away quickly. The cash register area had three employees engaged in conversation. Not one looking at the floor or customers. I ambled about looking at possibly finding a small sound system. Didn't see any values for what I needed. I left the store after 20 minutes. Not one person approached me. I figure they're not interested in their jobs or their company. Don't think I'll ever be here again.

Business was irresponsible for service calls and actually said, "it was not their concern to provide service after warranty". They would not even provide an option for me to contact another technician. I had to search out the regional distribution center for the manufacturer and they assisted me in connecting with a local sales person who could not have been more helpful. Oddly enough I was even…read morepurchasing a brand of stove that we have owned before and, in the end, we probably would have been very happy with our purchase had we not had to deal with the owner of, or anyone who is employed by, Fireside Living. Our brand-new stove arrived with an internally damaged part. (It obviously left the factory damaged. It was wrapped tightly and protected by a wooden crate that showed zero signs of damage.) The store's certified repairman inspected it (this alone took 8 days for him to come out) and advised us against repair, since repairing it would potentially compromise our brand-new unit, and suggested we simply have the stove replaced. Many weeks passed of us assuming they were working on getting the unit replaced until I made 2 more calls. Both store employees I talked to, and the owner, in the following weeks, told me that the repairman had spoken out of turn and had been fired. I was shocked to be told at that point that they had the part on order and someone would come out to repair the stove. I explained (again) that I was not going to pay for a malfunctioning stove and would like to return it if they weren't going to replace it. She said they would not do that since it can simply "be fixed." The more hostile and rude she got, as the conversation continued, I explained that I just wanted them to come pick up the broken stove and issue me a refund. For some unexplainable reason she threatened that if I wasn't compliant to doing things her way she'd have "the cops at my home." There was no logic to her bizarre threat so I ignored it but, funny enough, fast forward to last week when I left this same review on google and the following business day got a call from the police ... so crazy that when they get a bad review they will take time to threaten customers and waste taxpayer money by having police make unnecessary, ridiculous phone calls when all they need to do is hire employees who care, not fire the ones who DO care, and actually care even remotely about customer service. She vehemently refused. I asked to speak with the owner. That took multiple more calls, on my part, and another rude employee at another location. Finally 6 days later I spoke to the owner, Greg, who said he had been "away on vacation." I put him on speaker phone when he started to yell at me, so others in the room could hear his yelling (it was shocking, really). He was very defensive with a raised voice throughout most of our talk. I explained I wanted a full refund. He yelled, "Absolutely NOT" and insisted he would repair it. (After his own certified repairman had insisted it should not be repaired.) I can't tell you how many times I wished I had simply googled this store before purchasing from them. The horribly rude, poor customer service that they offer is evident if you just do some research. It's my hope that taking the time to write this helps many other potential Fireside Living customers avoid the heartache and thousands of dollars of wasted money. Do Not Go To This Store. Run the other direction.

Most of the Clubs are gigantic warehouses with sort of a standardized layout, although with significant changes due to the buildings themselves. During the Covid-19 pandemic, BJs was a life saver as we bought items by the carload to avoid frequent food shopping trips. Nowadays, we have a fairly large list of needed items and a post-Covid huge food pantry. As a result we often use their online ordering and when we get there, the order is ready. If we have time, we then peruse the isles and look for bargains by using their Express Pay that avoids having to go through their checkout aisles. If we lack time, we just leave. This time, they had my order ready exactly when they told me it would be. So we walked around looking for a few impulse items. There is dedicated parking for online shoppers just right out the door, quite convenient. Overall a super experience in this Manchester BJs....
