I went to the Best Buy located at the Mall of NH in Manchester NH on 08/22/2026 with 1 item I…read moreneeded to purchase. The store was not extemely busy but as usual there was minimum staff to assist. I found the item I wanted to purchase (a fire tablet 10) and saw there were about 8 of them stacked on the top shelf under the display cabinet. There was another couple talking to a couple in front of the display who were being assisted by a Best Buy assoc. Lexie. after they were done I waited patiently for Lexie to address me, however she looked all around and over me as if I were invisible. She spoke into her cell phone and said "who's next?" and I smiled and said "How about me?" while I waved at her from 2 feet away. She acted confused and put on the spot so I told her I just needed her to open the case, I didn't need help, just the item. Again she looked dazed and confused so I said again, "I just need you to open the case. It's right there. I want the fire tablet 10...that's it. (Still struggling to be polite now." Again met with a dull stare of confusion as if I just spoke to her in German. I said 1 more time I want to buy that product and then held up 5 fingers and lowered them one at a time as I said "You have 5 seconds to decide...5...4...3...2...1... "Ok...Thank you and I walked to the front of the store. I was then met by a young man (I apologize I don't remember his name, but he was the 1 and only helpful person that day. He asked me what I needed and asked to speak to a store manager. He immediately got on his walkie talkie and asked for a manager at the front of the store. Shortly after that a woman manager Sharon (I think) asked me what I needed. I explained the whole situation to her and she went into explaining something about there was a cue of customers that needed assistance (I didn't think I was at the Apple Store) but went on to say I don't need anything other than the case to be unlocked so I could pay for the item and be on my way. She told me the young man at the door would be able to assist me and he said "I got you man, with a smile. Here I screwed up....moments away from being able to get the tablet I mistakenly said I'll want the case too (in the same locked case) and the Manager Sharon abruptly stated "OH NO - THEN YOULL HAVE TO GO IN THE QUEUE!" I said "They're in the same case?" Again she said "If you need anything more than the tablet you have to go in the queue and we have MANY people ahead of you" Moral of the story: I went home, ordered it from Amazon.COM and added the purchase of a case and stylus. I should have done this from the start but I was at the Mall so was like "What the hey? Let's get it in person" Big mistake. When just about ANYTHING is available on AMAZON.COM with free shipping ect you would THINK Best Buy would be thanking EVERY Customer and tripping over themselves to assist customers who wanted to spend money in their stores but alas, I could n't even get someone to open a case after talking to 3 different people.

The first sign that this was going to be different was upon entering. The front desk attendant was engaged in an animated conversation with a fellow worker. Obviously too busy to acknowledge customers. I came over looking at the possibility of purchasing a small sound system for our nonprofit's meetings. I stepped into the sound system area. An employee was looking into infinity and an open Sudoku game on his smartphone. I asked where I could find such sound systems and he seemed to be bothered by my intrusion into his Sudoku. He pointed towards the WiFi section. Not a peep. I thought about their training process at Best Buy and how it could be improved. I then stepped in the WiFi and boom box area. An employee was idling by but when she saw me, she stepped away quickly. The cash register area had three employees engaged in conversation. Not one looking at the floor or customers. I ambled about looking at possibly finding a small sound system. Didn't see any values for what I needed. I left the store after 20 minutes. Not one person approached me. I figure they're not interested in their jobs or their company. Don't think I'll ever be here again.

The review of the Apple Store at the Mall of New Hampshire seem to be on two extremes, either…read more5-stars or 1-star. I can see how new employees, not properly trained, can wreak havoc on a customer's device, especially when one has driven long distances to seek assistance and instead get an "oh well" or a "call the non-support center" and wait six hours to get a human... Well, I did it in reverse and it worked. I tried the Apple "non-support Center" first and I got what I expected, hour-wait and a non-resolution of my problem. So then I ended up getting a Genius Bar appointment and had the luch of dealing with Justin, who apparently knows a lot about Apples. I arrived on time and went to the Genius Bar where I saw Justin, who although was waiting on three other people, had time to work with all of us. My issue was that somehow, different large movie apps and their gigabyte-sized files had created invisible grabs on my memory so my system memory (for an iPad) was 140GB. I had previously tried to first offload, then delete apps by the score, then erase and reformat from a backup but it didn't work. So came over here to get the scoop on how to redo it from scratch. Justin took me through the paces and it turned my system files from 140 GB down to 8. Exactly what I wanted. I left with a working piece of equipment. Prompt, courteous, good value.

I have never dealt with such incompetent customer service in my life. The manager and one of the…read moreemployees clearly had no idea what they were doing, yet they acted like my family and I were the ones who didn't understand the process. We went in to buy FOUR iPhones, and after everything they put us through, we only ended up buying three because they completely destroyed our confidence in them. They had us erase all the data from my phone without stopping to think that our phone numbers are Brazilian, meaning we couldn't receive the verification codes needed to set everything back up. They made the exact same mistake THREE TIMES. After the second time, I specifically told them not to erase my data again because it was causing serious problems, and somehow they still managed to mess it up a third time. It's unbelievable that they ignored what I was saying and kept repeating the same mistake. We were this close to losing years of photos, contacts, and important information, and if I hadn't stepped in and caught what was happening, we probably would have lost everything. The manager was absolutely useless throughout the entire situation--no solutions, no accountability, no leadership, nothing. Instead of taking responsibility, they treated us like we were confused, when in reality they were the ones making one mistake after another. It was stressful, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. If you're going to work in a job that involves setting up people's phones and handling their personal data, at least know what you're doing. This entire experience was a disaster, and I honestly wouldn't trust them with another device ever again.
