Well, I finally visited Singas Famous Pizza at the urging of my son. My son used to work in the neighborhood and this is one of his favorite places to grab lunch. Decor is simple and the restaurant is clean. Singas Famous Pizza has been in business for 56 years which is a plus. It is obvious that they must be doing something right. They have locations throughout NY and NJ. My son ordered the shrimp pizza and I ordered the plain pizza. At Singas, everything is made to order fresh for their customers. The wait time for our order was about ten minutes. I enjoyed my personal pizza at Singas Famous Pizza, it was absolutely delicious. An added bonus for us was that we were fortunate to meet one of the owners. He was thankful that we stopped in to patronize his business. He was friendly and so encouraging. He shook my hand and gave my son a fist bump. He was extremely happy to see my son and I hanging out together. Additionally, he gave my son some wonderful advice. We had a wonderful conversation and enjoyed our time at Singas because he made our experience extra special. One thing that always resonates with me when I'm out and about is customer service. It is extremely important to me. Your food can taste great but your attitude can be horrible, I won't support a business like that. However, thankfully that is not the case at Singas Famous Pizza. This pizza place honestly surprised me, in the best way! The food was fantastic. I tried both the Hawaiian Pizza and the Special Pizza, and wow, they were both amazing. Visited Singas on a Saturday night in search of some yummy Brooklyn pizza. A group of about 10 of us came in and were served super quickly. This pizza place serves 10" pies rather than single slices. They have a huge list of different topping pizzas, all differing in price. They also serve wings, sandwiches, and other sides. I ordered the pepperoni pie and it was delicious. It was packed with pepperoni and had just the right amount of greasiness. It was super crunchy and just looked so pleasing to the eye. There's plenty of sitting room in this pizzeria to chill out and enjoy your pizza. They seemed really busy with delivery and phone orders but our pizza still came out so quick! We came here for a quick bite of a plain baby pie and wings on the side. I like that the pies are small and you can eat 3-4 small slices and it will feel enough, well not when you are starving. Each pie is 8 small slices. I would say it is equivalent to 2 slices or 2.5 slices of ny sized style pizza. The wings are not that good, we opted for plain and I thought there would be some batter on it before it was fried but that didn't seem like the case, very bland unless you use sauce or order BBQ style or something. Been coming here for a while now whenever I'm in the area. What I love the most is that the personal 10" pies are always made fresh and you can customize them however you like. You have to wait usually 10 minutes or so but I guarantee you that it's being madw fresh. Always been pleased with the pizza and you can sit down and eat it at the restaurant. I had to chime in. I've been hangover ordering from this place for years. It's not gourmet...by a mile. It's a step above grocery store but it's consistently the same every time. I get a personal deluxe pizza with a side of wings and then pop on netflix and chow. It's half what gourmet pizza's are in the area and it's pretty quick. I love this Singas Pizza! I've been eating Singas for a few years now and just love that they opened a location near my house in Brooklyn. The pies are individual size so people should not compare with Dominos or PapaJohns. They use very fresh ingredients, love the cheese and the dough used. It's just the best and I definitely recommend it. I was reading some of the reviews for this place and I seriously have no complaints. They make the pizza fresh when ordered. For the pizza alone, I'd give it a one but realize that it was only 5 bucks. I'm pretty sure these are frozen pizzas. Wasn't the worst thing I've ever had and if I was drunk and these were all that was available I'd probably eat one. As far as pizza in general is concerned, being in NYC and with other pizza joints around it, this place is a joke. We got the garlic pies. They come in one size and one size only (10"). You could actually taste the garlic but the crust was bland and indeed, taste frozen. If I want mediocre chain pizza I'll walk the extra block and get Papa Johns. Although not your typical NY style pizza, Singas is still like family. They have a few locations now but i used to go to the original in Elmhurst way back when.
