12" Beef Wrap
Jonnie N.

Trying Suncerely Syria for the first time because that 12" wrap looked too good to pass up -- and it absolutely delivered. The beef-lamb combo is fragrant, juicy, smoky, and incredibly tender. While the wrap leans toward the pricier side, the portion is substantial and packed mostly with protein, so it feels worth it. The sauce ties everything together beautifully -- creamy, garlicky, tangy, with just a slight bitter finish that rounds out the flavor profile and keeps it balanced rather than heavy. Next time, I'm going for the plate. The portion looks even more generous, and it's actually a better value since fries are included. Always a good sign when you're already planning your next order.

The absolute best! Seriously it never disappoints! I got the 24" shawarma plate and ate half for dinner and saved the rest for lunch. If you want authentic shawarma this right here is 10000/10. The employees are so kind and hospitable...truly some of the kindest people I've ever come across. Making the food even more good. Can't wait to come back for more deliciousness!!

12" Beef Plate

I'd seen Sincerely Syria across the street from the parking lot on the corner of Fair Oaks and Green, and wanted to try it. I ordered the 12" beef plate which came with cut pieces of beef shawarma wrap, French fries, pickles and tahini. The French fries were very hot and crispy with a nice color and very good potato flavor. The beef wrap was pretty good but pretty oily. In fact the oil was dripping out of the wrap to the point where it was a bit unappetizing for me. Others might find it to be "juicy" but to me it was just oily. The beef tasted a little gamey, but not in an unpleasant way like the oiliness. Perhaps, I'd do much better with a chicken wrap the next time I'm there. However, Father Nature Lavash wraps is just a block away and they have excellent chicken shawarma wraps. That is why I opted to try the beef at Sincerely Syria.

No frills, no nonsense, just some incredible chicken (I'm sure the beef is great too). I had the chicken wrap, which is one of practically only two menu items. Prices are very reasonable for how much meat you get. There's really not much else to say other than you need to try this place if you are a shawarma fan. I'll be back very soon!

Recently tried Sincerely Syria in Old Town Pasadena with my parents--and it exceeded expectations. I grew up in Syria and have spent 20+ years in the U.S., and I've been chasing that authentic chicken shawarma ever since. Most places don't quite get it right. This one does. If you're used to the Americanized version, it may taste a little different--but this is what real Syrian shawarma tastes like: well-balanced, flavorful, and not overly heavy. The ambiance is simple and unfussy, but it adds to the charm--Arabic music playing on the TV, a cozy booth setup, and warm wood tones that give it a casual, homey feel. My parents struck up a conversation in Arabic with the owner, which led to such a warm, generous moment--he offered us drinks and a beef shawarma on the house. I didn't try the beef, but they loved it. Portions are generous (easily shareable), and every bite was on point. Between the food and the genuine Syrian hospitality, this place stands out. Will absolutely be back.

6" chicken wrap dine in for ~$9. Good garlic flavor and nicely charred chicken. Came with cold yogurt on the side. Cute little shop, no restrooms. Place your order at the window on the back. Fast preparation and nice booths.

Dry chicken.

5 Stars friendly lady. 3 Stars for the food. Chicken was very dry & chewy. Bread was not fresh. Hummus was cold.

Had heard great things about Sincerely Syria so was excited they opened a location in Old Town. Walked in on a Friday afternoon only to see the restaurant empty. Not totally surprising since it was in between the lunch and dinner rush. Walked to the back of the restaurant where you will find only 1 man taking orders and making the food. We ordered the beef-lamb wrap and a chicken plate. The beef-lamb wrap was pretty good and didn't have a strong gamey smell. Did enjoy the crispy pita like wrap but was disappointed the beef was cold. I did notice the man trying to ignite the döner so perhaps the beef isn't a popular item? The chicken wrap was good and the fries were well seasoned. Did enjoy the garlic spread but still think Zankou's garlic dip is still the best. May head back but honestly I think I'd rather head to Father's Nature if craving a shawarma.

Well that was that

Sooooooooo sooooo sooooo good. Just as good as the the one in Hollywood. I've never had a bad experience and everyone I've brought here has been blown away. And sooo cheap and generous. Place is empty:( People need to get out and eat this!!!

First time going there and not the last! The meat is well seasoned and the portion is great. My buddy and I ordered the beef/lamb shawarma wrap.

The salad dressing was a bit different and hard to stomach, but not terrible and it is nice that you get a salad with every plate order. This mediterranean spot is more of a casual on the go type of place. The food was okay. I've eaten a lot of Mediterranean food spots and this place just didn't do it for me. The quality of the food was okay, and it just lacked a lot of flavor, it pretty much lacked flavor on all the food. Usually plates come with hummus and they said it an extra charge instead of automatically coming with it. The staff was very pleasant and no complaints with the service. It's not a bad place to go for something quick and fulfilling. I just prefer more taste when it comes to Mediterranean.

The space is bright, airy, and welcoming, with plenty of small tables inside and a cozy sidewalk setup for outdoor dining. Service is friendly and genuine, definitely gives off that family-owned vibe. Street parking is pretty scarce, but there's a small lot around the corner on 5th St, which is still convenient. I ordered the Beef Shawarma Plate and grabbed a box of pre-made baklava from the counter to-go for my lunch break. The plate was a generous portion. The beef was seasoned perfectly, complete with fresh pita and a delicious garlic spread. The baklava, unfortunately, wasn't the flaky goodness I'd hoped for. It seemed like it might've gone into the container while still warm, so the texture was a bit off, but the flavor was still great. Would love to try it fresh or crisp next time. Overall, Pop's is busy for a reason. Whether you're ordering to-go or dining in, it's absolutely worth a visit!

The location is very visible as you drive north or south on Hill. Parking is available in a number of different areas. They have their own parking lot alongside the edge of the building. There is also street parking that is usually available along the side street. Upon entering the patio area of this building you will notice outside seating with umbrellas. The Mediterranean Grill is located in suite 101. When you enter you walk through the inside seating to the counter to place your order. I had a number of questions concerning their menu and the gentleman at the register was very helpful in giving me suggestions of different dishes I might enjoy. I ordered a number of items so that I could get an understanding of their menu. I decided to order three items. A salad and two dinners. As I sat down to wait for my order, a staff member brought over a small salad and a small bottle of water for me to enjoy while I was waiting. I found out that the salad was a shirazi salad. It was bright and refreshing. The lemon and olive oil dressing was perfect along with the chopped onions, marinated cucumber, tomatoes, and parsley. Enjoyable! I picked up my carefully packaged order and was on my way home. I was eager to try some new flavors. The aroma of the food was still present as I opened each of the three items. The Greek salad with chicken had a great flavor. There were large chunks of lightly fried chicken pieces, with fresh cucumbers, feta cheese, olives, lettuce, onions, with their special olive and lemon dressing. This salad is a full meal, very satisfying. The chicken platter with white meat included rice, a marinated cucumber salad, a tomato, and jalapeno. I had a choice of with seeds or without and I decided to spice it up and ordered with the seeds. There is definitely a lot of food . then one dinner. I found out that it tasted good the next day. Their special sauce is amazing. The beef skewer was very tender and filled with flavor. The meat had been marinated and tasted great both warm and cold the following day, as did the other items. I was so intrigued by the menu that I went again for the gyro roll and the falafel platter. Both were well worth the return visit. Highly recommend the flavorful food at Mediterranean Grill! Their service, recipes, and food are well worth the visit. I look forward to returning to experience more items on the menu.

At least it's not burn. Nothing is wrong with the rice, but i preferred the basmati rice massis used. However, I'm not sure why the rice is mixed with many piece of noodles. I hate when it puts the container sauce on top of the rice and not outside. I believe it's chili and garlic sauce. How would I know if the container is contaminated or not. Not sure why it is on top of the rice and not outside the to go container. The picture look better than what I actually got. In the picture, the chicken kabob look round and whole, what I actually got look like the whole piece of chicken got cut in half. The salad is room temperature. For sure, it isn't cold. Parking here is very challenging. I also got the wrap for 12 something. Honestly, 13.99 pho would have been a better choice for me. The order was made quick. I got my order to go, not much of the interaction for the service to have any opinion about it. I came here by chance, tried it, it did not made me feel wow on either its' price and its' food.
