This little restaurant was within walking distance of our hotel and had decent reviews. When we got there, no other customers were there. That caused us to pause, but we're glad we went ahead and ordered. We compare all food of this type to a place we loved in Penrith, NSW, Australia. This was very close to being as delicious as that place! High praise! I ordered the gyro salad and loved it. The meat was plentiful and tender and covered the crisp salad. My husband had the gyro platter which was filling and delicious. The guy who was working was friendly and efficient.

Only one person working when we went. But the quality and flavor of the dishes was great. Limited seating inside and out. But worth a visit!

Hidden gem in Northern Seattle, doesn't look like much on the outside with a statue of Lenin on the outside. The Chicken Shawarma Plate came with this side salad, hummus, and pita. Pita was fresh out of the oven, soft and went well with the hummus. Salad had a nice sauce on it tasted fantastic. The shawarma was better than I expected, lots of flavor and seasonings, rice was cooked well too.

listen. when you're inebriated and want good food open late on friday, listen-- this is the place you go, sincerely. and i would know (not that im a drunk)... but you know when the appetite was suppressed by a day of real stress.. ?? then you go out, to relieve this stress, and have a couple beverages, then the appetite reveals itself to be very real? this is when you go to a legit spot; like sinbad, OK? fantastic service. mellow ambiance, alright. it's just good food and good people. i've had sinbad fries this evening (and a few times in the past couple years), they are great in flavor AND texture (i asked for fried extra, because i like my fries crispy) my only downside is the fries needed more sauce, but i'm an american, we always need "more". great food. i'm feeling great. tip and treat these folks well, they will give you well.

Not to be dramatic but I think this is the best food I've had in Seattle so far. The place is unassuming but the food is made fresh to order and it's delicious! We got the veggie wrap, mazzat veggie plate and baklava. Incredible. Service was fast and friendly too. This will be our new go-to takeout place!

We needed a quick lunch in Fremont and we were so glad we stopped here. Everything was amazing - kebab plates, gyros, hummus platters, baklava. We were a group of 20, and the man working was courteous, fast and efficient.

This place is legit, highly recommended! Open later than most restaurants in Fremont too which is great.

The host asked us to wait outside and said she would come get us when our table was ready. A family who was already waiting outside was called in shortly after, and we continued waiting. We saw several parties leave and many people come in and get seated right away, so we assumed they had reservations. After waiting about 25 minutes, we went back inside to check on our table. The host told us that we "didn't leave a phone number," even though we were never asked for one and were told to wait outside until she comes get us. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, she complimented my shirt mid-conversation, which felt like she was trying to brush it off. The entire time we were outside, we were the only people waiting, and we even saw her setting up the outside seating as the restaurant got busier. She never once checked in with us or said anything. The food was good, and our service once we were seated was great. Unfortunately, our first interaction with the host left a bad first impression and took away from the overall experience. That's why we're taking off two stars.

Highly recommend the three dip (current seasons is beet and it's my fav) with the flat bread. The flat bread comes out steaming. Trumpet mushroom is Smokey and juicy. I arrived 20 minutes before opening and was first in line. One friend joined me 10 minutes later. At 5pm it was just the two of us, so I asked for a table for 4 and explained that I'd happily order food and drinks for everyone immediately, even though the rest of the group was still fighting the weekday traffic. The hostess refused, so we stepped aside. 2 minutes later our 3rd friend arrived. I asked the group behind us if they minded us getting back in line. They laughed and said it was no problem because they had just had their 3rd person arrive as well. When I got back in line, the hostess deliberately skipped over me and called the next group instead. After seating them, I stopped her and asked for a table for 3. She asked if it would "really" be just 3. At that point I honestly didn't know. Our 4th friend was driving from Everett and had texted that she was stuck in standstill traffic. I said yes, seat the 3 of us. The hostess told us to wait while she seated yet another group, taking the last indoor table. We were then placed outside on a hot day. Despite how the evening started, I did exactly what I'd said I would. We ordered dinner for the entire group, including 2 bottles of wine to avoid inconveniencing them with making drinks. Then, incredibly, the hostess came back to our table and removed the 4th chair to make absolutely sure our last friend couldn't join us if she arrived. It felt petty, unnecessary, and frankly embarrassing. What should have been a joyful reunion became a stressful experience because of one person's rigid and unwelcoming attitude. The food was equally inconsistent. The labneh was extremely sour and came with cold, slightly stale pita. The squid & lamb were overly salty. The kohlrabi with peaches was so aggressively smoky that we left almost the entire dish untouched. The mushrooms were fine. The grilled pork was excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. The cod was just okay, and the desserts were average. We spent ~$500 for the meal. People don't spend this kind of money just for the food. The price reflects the entire experience, and that's where this restaurant failed. The service felt cold, impersonal, and overly focused on rules instead of hospitality. Rather than making guests feel welcome, the hostess made us feel like a problem she had to manage. I've had warmer, friendlier service at fast food restaurants. I won't be returning, and I took the time to write this review because no meal, especially one marking such a meaningful reunion, should be overshadowed by such an unnecessarily unpleasant welcome.

The signature saj bread is cooked fresh on a hot stone and is almost like a Middle Eastern flour tortilla with the way it's super thin and satisfyingly chewy bite. The only seating options are a few large benches on the sidewalk, but there's a poster saying you're welcome to sit at the neighboring bar which opens in the late afternoon provided you purchase a drink as well. Ended up sampling 3 of their wrap options and the Zaatar Wrap was deliciously nutty and fragrant, but texturally there was so many herbs that the center ate a little dry. The Lahme Khuruf (Lamb) was my favorite by far with super juicy ground meat with some tang from the labneh, sweetness, freshness from the tomato, and texture from the pine nuts. Absolute home run on this one! The Awarma and Cheese was a close second, but personally, the flavor profile was just a little less interesting than the lamb. Tip: grab some extra napkins as the wraps can fall apart a bit at the end!

I got a build-my-own saj wrap with the mushroom base saj $6, sumac chicken $7, tomato $1.5, cucumber $1.5, pickled turnip $1, and a side of hot sauce $2. The saj bread itself tasted good, but got soaked through by the juice of the chicken and became very soggy. We walked to a park 10 minutes away to eat the wraps and the wraps were bending. The ingredients are fresh but nothing particularly stood out. I didn't quite taste the mushroom on the wrap, and on top of that, I got charged $2 for the hot sauce, but never tasted it in the wrap or found it on the side. My partner got the falafel saj wrap which was overall ddcent, but he also found the saj bread quite soggy, yet the falafels were on the dry side.
