The course is in pretty rough shape, especially on holes 5, 6, and 7 that are now a flooded mess. It hasn't rained in weeks and these holes are nearly unplayable if you come up short, you'll have to just give up the ball and hit another. So every time I have visited this golf course I have had a great time. It's a small course that is small and very comfortable to play without needing a golf cart to get around the course. Pricing is very fair but you do need to rent a had cart to move your clubs around easier, unless you like carrying clubs around yourself. I am not a good golfer but like to visit with my friend as we play. Our conversations are private and we don't see each other that often so we value our time. Today they put two people on the course with us. They did not ask, they just said you must play with them. We left and got a refund with no issue. They had never done this to us in all the times we had visited, which is probably over 20 times. I am not sure that we will go back as this is not how we enjoy playing. If we do return we will make sure to tell them not to put us with other people we don't know. I was very generous giving them 4 stars but as this was the first time this occurred I gave them the benefit of doubt. read more

Just getting back into playing golf so looking for a user friendly non-challenging par 3 course. Sinaloa is just what the doctor ordered. Senior rate is $11 for 9 holes and $5 more if you want to go around again for 18 holes. Push cart rental is $5. It is a short par 3 (I don't think any hole was even 150 yards) with wide flat fairways and few trees. A few bunkers around some of the greens. And water comes into play on two of the holes. A good place to practice your short game. read more

This is a great beginner's golf course! I made reservations online for a Saturday tee time at 7:10am a week in advance. It's located off Madera Rd in Simi Valley. There's ample parking and club house is located next to the driving range. Prices are low for golf here ($10 a person for early bird weekend and push cards are $4 each - no golf carts here since it's a very small course and my silly self asked because I'm a golf newbie lol). For the push carts, you get a metal part to attach your golf bag to the push cart after your transaction. We started off at the driving range and we loved the smell of the trees behind us. We also saw coyotes running around the back which they actually look like cute and scruffy foxes from afar lol When we played on the first 9 holes, all of them are Par 3 each and it was easy to find the flags as well as the starting points. Masks are not necessary while golfing within your same group and all other groups in front/behind us were mask-less but it is required for club house access (they sell black masks for $1 each too). There's a portapotty at the end of the 9th for restroom access. No more water coolers and paper cups so bring your own water bottle or coffee container. The perfect place for someone new to golf to get a feel for the game. Listen is this country club level greens? No. But that's not what you should be looking for coming here. The course is playable and the par 3's are a lovely time to work on your short game. Mostly not crowded anytime I've been with a relaxed atmosphere. The driving range has a decent amount of targets no matter where you're set up and again, mostly not crowded. Prices for everything are very competitive for any form of Southern California golf. Sinaloa is a great place for beginners to start playing an actual course and for more experienced golfers to really work on their short game over a variety of distances. Greens are surprisingly good for a par 3 course, though tee-boxes understandably show sign of heavy use. There are often options to from a mat off the tee, or you can drop behind it if you want to hit off grass/dirt. For those working on a short game, you can practice hitting from tight/bad lies. Conditions of the bunkers and green are good, and fairways aren't really supposed to be in play technically, so I'm glad they focus on the important stuff. A few rounds here has helped my short game tremendously and shaved real strokes off my game on full courses as a result. As far as conditions and pace of play, this is not Augusta National or Pebble Beach, so patience and understanding for players of differing skill level is required and people should still implement the same rules, courtesy and respect as they would on any other course. There are plenty of other local courses offering a premium experience if that is an expectation. The staff has always been professional courteous when I have played there, and usually I find that people are treated in accordance with their behavior. read more

Amazing small par 3 course located in Simi Valley. You don't tee off on a golf mat which is real golf IMO. You do set your own tee shots. Holes range from 85-145 ish. 9 holes great price for a quick round. Greens run really fast careful putting because the ball will role. Great views also. read more

This driving range has only one thing going for it. It is on flat ground. If you get a bucket of balls only half will be worth hitting. And the mats are in bad shape. Better than nothing I guess. read more

He proceeded to talk to us like his children when playing a 5some even though we had 2 tee times and play weekly but have never had an issue before now. 1 star for the course. 0 stars for the manager. read more

Not an "easy" course, though lots of beginners are there. Lots of teens and families. It's great when it's empty but wait times can be stacked pretty deep. On an empty day, it is heaven! Beautiful and well kept. Watch out and don't hit the geese. read more

Mondays are my day off and I had just finished playing 18 holes at Scholl canyon and decided I wanted to head out to Simi Valley and knock Sinaloa off my list (my goal is to play every course in LA County at least once). Sinaloa Golf Course is my 28th course in the county. It's a nice little 9-hole, par 3 course, there's some water and a little bit of elevation change (a very little bit); a number of the greens are well guarded by bunkers, which makes it a little more of a challenge. The course is open and compact, despite relatively long yardage for a par-3 course. The course is well maintained. Staff was friendly and the clubhouse was well stocked. They had a range, though I didn't use it. I have to say I didn't do very well, but enjoyed the experience anyway. If I lived close by, I'd probably try to knock a round off every day. The read more

I have been golfing at this course multiple times and it's a great fun beginner course. I went to this course again, for a school golf project. The project was to simply hit 8 balls back to back and also record a video of us doing so. To say the least we were kicked out even though we called ahead and made a reservation and they were aware of the project. The manger it seems like was very rude and super inconsiderate, even tho we let other players go ahead of us or we would even wait for players rather then have the other players wait on us for the project. Their customer service is awful and he was very disrespectful to the way he approached us on the course. Never returning again instead I'm going to Simi Hill where there amazing staff with accommodate with us for a cheaper price as well. read more

9 holes of par 3 fun, Sinaloa is a good way to get your golf fix fulfilled when money and time are both short. Most of the time a round here will last no longer than an hour and a half but on weekends and holidays, when the weather is good, hole 3 can get really backed up and I've experienced a 3 hour round. Longest shot you will hit will probably be on the 9th hole with an 8 iron (maybe a 7 on windy days) otherwise you'll be using your pitching wedge and down for most of the other holes. The lay out is pretty flat with the exception of hole 6. Surprisingly there is sand on 6 of the 9 holes. I like that you're able to hit off of real grass. On the shorter holes you can choose not to tee it up so you can work on your short game. Some of the longer holes I tee it up to simulate par 3's on other courses. The driving range isn't anything special but in a matter of months that may not make a difference because the city is planning on taking it out completely to make room for a putt-putt course. That should be interesting :/ At least they're leaving the par 3 course alone. read more

Mind you I'm not an avid golfer. So this golf course was my first experience ever being at a golf course and playing. Parking: Good size lot right out in front so nothing to worry about there. Service: Honestly it was exactly what I exptected when I walked it. An older white man who looks like he's been playing golf since Arnold Palmer. Kind of slow at the register but got me all squared away. Cost: Prices really arent 2 bad. It was $12 for the round and only $3 for the cadi trolly (which in my opinion is the best $3 you can spend in Simi Valley) Course: The course is a par 3 9-hole as well has a 30 spot driving range up to 200 yards. Overall I'd say the course was ok. There were some soggy parts on the fairway. Along with some muddy spots throughout the course. Sinaloa is a sweet little par 3 golf course. There are only 9 holes here so if you want to play 18 you get to go around twice. The water doesn't really come in to play unless you are a beginner and even then, only on the 1st and 9th holes. The greens are FAST, but in good shape. The dictator in Proshop gets on loudspeaker and commences a five minute diatribe explaining how he got a call from neighbors about range balls over the fence. He berated the entire range with a discertation that was obnoxious and pompous. Seriously went on for five straight minutes. Most obnoxious grandstanding I ever heard. Super-duper inexpensive to hit some range balls. We came on Thursday, apparently we got double the balls, 4$ for a large bucket. Sweet. Let's not even go double entendre on that, whoops too late. Anyways, hitting golf balls is a great de-stressing activity. Unless you are pretty bad, which okay I'll say it, I'm no pro. I may have been co-captain of the girl's golf team back in high school, but it was only due to seniority, not skill. Ha. However, I have fun out there. Who needs an excuse to hang out with family and crack all the caddyshack, billy madison, or tin cup quotes you know. I know I can quote many scenes from those movies word-for-word. I've played here in the past, it is alright. Condition is average at best, but its a parks and rec course which helps to keep the costs down. I didn't use the practice putting green. My only minor quibble, quite a few of the mats on the range are not level. Mats generally are not the best hitting surface anyways, so that is not such a surprise. For what it is, it is a good course and a fun place to come for an afternoon or morning, whatever your fancy. read more

WARNING: Sinaloa uses LIMITED FLIGHT GOLF BALLS on their driving range. They won't tell you when you buy a bucket, which is why you see a lot of really frustrated golfers on the range. The balls look normal but fall out of the sky at about 60 to 70% of normal distance. If you're not aware of this IT WILL DESTROY YOUR GAME. Before I figured it out, I went there to hone my game and I left with no game at all and blisters from trying to get the balls to fly a normal distance. I couldn't understand what went wrong. I did everything I could and nothing worked. A few days later I went back and asked, "Did you replace the balls with limited flight balls?" Yes. I told them that they have to tell people. When you're practicing golf it's distance AND direction, and if one of those is destroyed because of crap balls then the other is almost useless as well. Anyway, onto the review. Sinaloa golf course is one of the nicer 9 holes I've been to. It's a very pretty golf course and though only nine holes, it was a lot of fun. They did a great job of mixing relatively easy holes with some more challenging stuff. For the most part, the holes are all well taken care of (aside from the track marks on the tee from miss swings) and well thought out. Being a beginner, no course was extremely difficult (though I was in the sand for a hole or two) but it wasn't difficult to get out and the courses were difficult enough where I had to do some planning. They also sport a very small putting green and a driving range. The prices were also very fair and the service was satisfactory. I only wish that the ball truck had come around when I was driving. I do so much better when I'm trying to hit that damn truck. I don't know what it is but I just get so jazzed trying to smash a ball into the side of the truck. Neanderthal much? read more

For a very casual golfer, this 9 hole 3 par golf course is super fun. Hardly busy and a good way for a beginner to learn.

Me and my friends golf here at least once a week. Its a great course if you are newer to the sport like me and my friends are, because it's an affordable course with average difficulty. They keep the course maintained and nice as well. If it were up to quality/affordability I would be giving this course a 5 star. Unfortunately there's only one thing holding me back. His name is Gus. I'm not sure if its our age (me and my friends are in the 25 age group) but every time I've had to deal with Gus, I've been made to feel as an inconvenience rather than an appreciated customer. Its a shame you would think the staff would be friendly and welcoming to young newcomers to the sport given the reasons I've stated before. All in all its a great course, but my score will not be changing until I see a change in Gus's customer service skills. read more

I gave it four stars because of the low price, super-friendly staff, well-kept greens, reduction of geese (and resultant abundance of goose-poo), AND it's nice to have a par-three course that doesn't use mats at the tee boxes...yay. I love seeing families play here, and everyone from beginners to weekend duffers to advanced players working on their short games. It's a good place to play as a single and join up with two or three people, because everyone is always so chill about their golf game here. Every since playing the way that I play golf has improved tremendously; from shooting a 9 bogeys or a double or two in there. I shot 5 over with two double bogeys and one bogey.
