My son was interested in trying out a batting cage, even though he has no baseball experience. We called and they were very friendly and gave me all the info. When we got there, they hooked us up and it was an all around great experience. They have various speeds of pitching, and we started off at 35 (the slowest), but we actually both found the 40 to be much easier and more hittable. The speeds go all the way to 75mph. I've been here 5 times now, and I can honestly say that Simi Batting Cages offer a better experience and better value over other cages in the area. I've been to cages in Newbury Park charging double for a lane that doesn't even include a pitching machine. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the long hours ensure everyone a chance to get on the schedule, whether it's solo time in the batting cages or team/small group time in the reserved lanes. Although the staff is great the equipment is well maintained and I enjoy coming to your batting cages, I hope the owner will read my 2 comments to provide a better experience. 1) The 65 mph cage needs a way to see the ball coming off the wheels. It's extremely difficult to time the pitches when you don't know when the ball is coming. Trim the netting, or provide some other way to see the ball coming off the chute. I'd prefer to use this 65 mph cage, but because of this, I always use another cage. 2) You gotta do something about the spiders! I always seem to get a spider bite or two after a batting session. Came here myself as a kid and I've now been taking my son here for years. It's not one of those fancy baseball facilities, but this place is super solid to make a quick stop to do a couple of rounds. Since it's a bit old school you'll get a variation of location and speed, but making personal adjustments is apart of the game. Sadly I started writing this review prior to the COVID-19 lockdown. I'm guessing this establishment is closed at the moment and I'm hoping I can visit again when the quarantine is over. This was a pleasant surprise in Simi Valley. I'm relatively new to the area and have never been to a batting cage in Simi; I've been to several batting cages in different cities and states so it's not unfamiliar territory for me. If you're looking for a softball/baseball facility this may be an option for you. There's adjacent areas for team fielding practice, pitching practice, and batting practice. My guess is these facilities are being used by both teams and personal coaches that rent the space. It has the look of an academy and there's even a store in the main office that sells bats, cleats, gloves, and uniforms. My kid no longer plays so I'm just looking for a decent facility to get some swings in a couple of times a week. The facility has several baseball and softball cages that you can rent for time or just buy some tokens and get some practice in. The cost is reasonable but I will warn you, the machines are fast. You're not going to have a lot of time between swings and it will be hard to switch if you're opting to go the token route and not miss any pitch. read more

I had visited here 9 years ago and had forgotten about these cages. But now that I am in Simi more often this place is now my favorite cage to go to. I mainly use it for slow pitch softball and am pleased with just about every pitch. With the closing of some cages in the SFV and the deterioration of some other cages this cage is now my "go to" place. The price is $2 a token for 20 pitches and which is very reasonable. Also, unlike some other cages, they are using new balls and have recently put up new netting. Almost every pitch is a strike and any variation is still close to the plate. The cages on the right side give about a 3-4 second wait between pitches. However, the cages on the left side only give about a 2 second wait between pitches, and that would be my only complaint about these cages. The staff has always been friendly when I have talked to them and the grounds are always kept very clean. The rest of the property is for private classes for pitching, fielding and hitting. I would have liked to see more public cages put in but they know their demographic better than I do. Overall, this is a very good place to get my hitting tuned up for leagues and tournaments. Always an enjoyable experience coming out here from the SFV. read more

I recently stopped by here to hack at some baseballs for the first time in 45 years and it was a blast! Mike is a great guy and very helpful with equipment and operations. I've had great fun here and if I can stop pulling my 61 year old muscles I plan on stopping by weekly. It's kind of like riding a bike--once you learn how to hit a baseball you don't lose it until you literally are too old to swing a bat, lol. This is a no-brainer--5 big stars! read more

It's a nice concept for perhaps a date night, hanging out with friends, or even plain old hitting for enjoyment but, it wasn't entirely the greatest time. It goes very quick and being the newbie to baseball I didn't get amazing hits. The automatic gives you decent time to recover, and feel at ease while still having fun. It's a good place for families and friends since you can have a nice little place for competition and just overall enjoyment. read more

Usually when I have some free time on business trips I'll look for a batting cage. I found one today while waiting for my friend in Simi Valley and it was really fun. The staff was helpful even though I kept switching between baseball and softball bats and the prices are good. It wasn't crowded but I did come on a Monday at 1pm. The Simi Batting Cages are what got me to the major leagues. The main cages are a great place to see the flight of the ball come of the bat. The cages enclosed on the side are a great place to work on your swing in a quite environment with tons of room. I've hit in every major big league cage from Yankee Stadium to Dodger Stadium and these are nicer than just about all of them. It's a mid-range quality bat with some wear but works fine for us. Been coming about once a week lately during non-peak hours and we get our fun in and take off. 20 pitches per coin. My husband and I ride our bicycles quite a bit on the weekends and stumbled upon this gem a few months ago. We are always looking for reasonably priced activities. I can't believe I haven't taken advantage of this great facility before. We walked in to the pro shop and were immediately greeted and the owner asked if there was anything they could help us with. Having never been there, they gave us a tour of their grounds and explained how everything worked. We decided what the heck, let's give it a go. We bought tokens (super affordable) and played a couple rounds. We had such a great time. Worst part was knowing we had to ride our bikes back home...We were exhausted!! We will definitely be back.
