Best coach around. Mike has a lot of knowledge about the golf swing and the game in general. he gives great drills to practice and he's helped me improve my golf game so much! read more

Mike had my swing right where it needed to be within 45 minutes. His experience and technology pinpointed the issues and habits I had developed. A great communicator, Mike explained in a way I could understand and conceptualize in altering my swing to add accuracy and distance. Took multiple videos so I could see what I was doing wrong and how to correct. I had a series of lessons from another company, did me absolutely nothing. They sent me one video of my swing and really little other instruction or drills. This was sooooo worth the $$$!!! Improve your game quickly, go see Mike!! read more

Visited Mike last week for first lesson. He's a great guy, has a ton of tools at his disposal. After brief warmup hits, he found enough data to make adjustments and gave me drills to work on. Zero pressure arena, can be fun. Definitely coming back for more lessons and drills to fine tune the game. read more

I visited Mike today. After hitting five balls, he knew exactly what was wrong with my swing. He showed me on the screen, gave me data to prove it, and had me do multiple drills so that I can fix it on my own. He didn't pressure me to come back or commit to a multi-session plan - he just helped me with my swing. If you're on the fence about getting lessons, the value is in knowing what's actually wrong with your swing. I would have never identified the problem on my own resulting in tons of money wasted at the range without ever improving. Go visit Mike, you won't regret it. Also, he's hilarious. read more

Mike Metz Golf - Golf Lessons Near Me - Simi Valley, California

I really hate to write this review, but here it goes. Last week, I made a reservation for a lesson with Mike Metz at his indoor facility. It was for today, Saturday the 22 of June at 2PM. Received a comfirmation email from him with the address and a time of 1:30. This email was received on June 18th at 10:31 AM. So, not wanting to be late, I drove there from Thousand Oaks, a half hour drive, and arrived early at 1:15 pm. At 1:38 I texted him, letting him know I was there. I continued to wait in my car with the A/C on. It was hot. I called him at 2:03, left a message letting him know I was still waiting. Finally at 2:12 I called him again, left a message this time letting him know that I wasn't happy about this experience. I came home and saw a message from him at 3:08 with an apology, explaining that he thought he emailed everyone and offering to reschedule at 12:30 for the next day, Sunday. I don't think so. I also checked all of my emails for the week, trash and junk. Nothing there. I know stuff happens, but I just blew a wonderful afternoon. So no, I cannot recommend this business. read more

The new indoor facility is great. Mike has the right stuff to help with your swing for sure. Anyone that plays the game knows that we all develop real real bad habits and get a broken swing. We all need someone to look at and fix that broken swing. Mike is the guy. Mike has some awesome cameras. Those cameras and equipment are just what a golfer needs to be able to see the mistakes. Then Mike explains and gives you the tools to fix your Yip. Give him a try and put in the practice after you will be rewarded. read more

Ok so you're looking at golf lessons and you've gotten this far. Congratulations on finding this page, you don't need to look any further. Go see Mike. I would never tell him this to his face, but he's a fantastic coach and an even better person, but I don't want him to raise his rates so i just tell him he's ok. He's funny, informative, and does not waste your time when he feels like you have a drill down. I've had multiple lessons with him and also seen how he coaches other players with different skill levels before and after my lesson. He really does tailor his style to suit your game. He also looks like Clive Owen, if you're in to that sort of thing. Go see Mike, your golf game will thank you. read more

Looking for a hobby and thought I'd try golf. Got my first lesson today and it was so much fun. Thank you for the tips, encouragement and the laughs Michael! read more

Taught myself golf when I was 18 years old. I went from highschool baseball, soccer, and football straight to the big course and had fun for 20 years. I even tried the Happy Gilmore swing for fun and it worked. But we all know that golf is harder than it looks. As I got older (in my 40's & 50's) two things caught up with me. Bad swing habits and an aging body that could no longer produce the same results. So, I searched for my first lesson and asked around. Mike had great reviews, and I can say he met all expectations. He will match your level of play with how much information he throws at you. He is an excellent teacher and does not run out of ideas to perfect your swing. He loves golf and loves what he does. You will walk away satisfied. read more

Mike works extremely fast through several drills to show me what I should be doing and uses tech very effectively to help him and me understand what is going on. Will work with your swing if you've been playing a while. Super guy, super helpful, thank you Mike! Don't think twice about giving Mike a call, you'll be well pleased taking your improved swing to the course. read more

Mike is the man! Haven't played in years and recently got back in golfing but developed some bad tendencies. Mike immediately found the source of my issues and we addressed over the course of lesson. He knows his stuff and is a great source if you want to improve your game. I am already scheduled for more lessons and looking forward to incorporating what I learned on the driving range this week. read more

I have been golfing since a teenager, which is a long while ago. I am an average golfer and over the years I have gotten some very ingrained bad habits. I wanted to improve my game and I knew that in order to do that I would need to change those habits. Not only has Mike helped me change my swing but also the way I approach the game. I am thrilled with my progress and in a reasonably short time. He has worked with my foundational skills but brought them to a new level. He didn't try to completely remake my swing but focus on specific things that helped improve it. I have always enjoyed the game but have found a new level of appreciation for it thanks to mike. read more

Love Metz...great guy, brilliant coach. I'm a pro myself and it's difficult trusting anyone when it comes to my game but in the search for truth, consistency, and better golf I will of course hear anyone qualified out. So when Mike politely asked if he could share his opinion of what he thought might help my game, I of course gladly heard him out AND he was 100% correct on pointing out the weakest element of my game AND the perfect drill to work on that would sort it out. Go see him, side note...he's also freaking hilarious. read more

Ok, had my first lesson with Mike today. With a few tweaks, Mike had me driving the ball 200 yards, which I've NEVER done before. Also helped me straighten out my irons. All with a great personality. Cant wait to golf! Thank you Mike!! I'll certainly be back. read more

Mike is the man! I've only been golfing for a year and I had a really annoying slice with my driver. After one session with him, he gave me a few drills to work on and I was hitting bombs straight down the middle. Slice has been gone ever since. read more

As a 5 index I thought I could self-correct most any issue I've ever had, it wasn't until I finally gave in and decided to see a professional that I realized just how wrong I was. Mike was onto my issues within three or four swings and had me making the proper adjustments within 5 minutes. The results were amazing and I could not be happier with the direction we're taking my swing! After one lesson I am committing to program with Mike in the search for the elusive scratch index, I am fully confident that Mike can get me there! Mike takes video, has Trackman and has extensive knowledge of the golf swing and keeps it simple (I don't wanna know how electricity works, I just wanna flip a switch and have the lights come on) literally he has everything one needs to make quick and solid changes to a swing and get the desired results you're looking for. Thanks Mike, see ya soon! Ps I'll keep you posted with the on course progression. Rosey @ Wood Ranch Golf Club read more

Been getting lessons with Mike on and off over the last year. I've gone from someone that didn't belong anywhere near a golf course to a mid teens handicapper; almost all that credit goes to him. Mike is extremely patient and is always good for a few jokes through the lesson. Mike will absolutely change your game for the better! read more

Today was my first golf lesson, I have been golfing on and off for the past 10 years with very little improvement in my game. I could never seem to break 90 mainly due to poor approach shots. Mike Metz came highly recommended and I thought I would give him a shot...not only did Mike make me feel very comfortable on the range, he preferred I swing the way I do naturally so that he could examine what I was doing wrong...not only did he figure out what I was doing wrong in my swing, he fixed it within 5 minutes and just had me practice the same swing over and over again to gain consistency. I will be coming back for a few more lessons but know that his techniques are result-driven and he is not here to waste your time or money...I'm blessed to have been introduced to Mike and look forward to an improved golf game read more

Mike is the man! I would highly recommend him to anyways looking to improve their game, no matter what your current skill level is at. You will get some good laughs and learn the game from a pro. read more

I have played golf for 30 years always hovering around a 25 handicap. I have paid for a lot of instruction in my life. Private lessons, golf camps etc. I never really seemed to get better. Last year I was in the worst golf place in my life as I just could not get off the tee with any consistency. I constantly lifted and duffed off the tee. I truly was at the point of quitting. For whatever reason, I went on google looking for an instructor that worked heavily with video so I could see and understand. That is how I found Mike Metiz on a Sunday in April after a disastrous Saturday round. In short, after about 3 months, Mike worked with me to rework my swing as I have never been able to do. I practiced a lot and saw Mike at the start about once a week then by summer about once a month. These are the results. Last week I shot an 85 at Tierra Rejada. My drives go about 240 to 260 and I really love the game. This review comes from an avid player who loves the game. I truly did not know Mike Metz from a box of rocks however in my humble opinion....he is the best instructor I have ever met. And I have never gotten a free lesson nor did I know Mike was on Yelp. This is one of the first reviews I have ever performed but please know I am most sincere in my praise. Sincerely, John Schreiber read more

I took 8 lessons with Mike and learned a lot. I enjoyed his humor and he made me feel comfortable at each lesson even though I am a beginner. He showed me ways to improve my terrible golf skills. I highly recommend Mike as an instructor. As a matter of fact, I will be looking to sign up for some more lessons soon! read more

I had a one hour golf lesson with Mike. I'm a complete newbie and he had a big impact on my swing. Mike has a very good attitude and it's clear he has a talent for coaching. I'll definitely be getting more lessons from him. Highly recommended. read more

I'm not typically one to write reviews but after taking lessons from Mike Metz for about 3 years now, I think it's time. Mike has a very unique and effective training method of working with your abilities, your swing, not a swing he thinks you should have. His passion for teaching is obvious and much appreciated. I was an absolute newbie and now shoot in the 90's. If you truly have a passion for golf and desire to improve your game, you need to see Mike. Just don't take me slot. read more
