Their warranty stood out immediately as being far superior to the others, which gave me a lot of confidence moving forward. What really set them apart was their full-service approach. They handled everything--from HOA approval and permitting to system design--making the entire process seamless and stress-free. Unlike other companies I spoke with that rely heavily on sales reps and subcontractors, Aneva completes all work in-house, which made a big difference to me. The installation team was outstanding--professional, polite, and very respectful of my home. They kept the work area clean throughout the process, and even went the extra mile in small ways (one of the installers even brought cookies for my dogs!). Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations. The installation quality, communication, and follow-up have all been excellent. I highly recommend Aneva Solar to anyone considering going solar.

Dave used to work for the company that installed my system, but is now one of the owners of Sunny Energy RX. I reached out to him with some questions, and he answered right away. Every once in a while, I have questions about my system or things it does, and Dave is always available to answer my questions and give me advice. He is under no obligation to help me out, but always does. He is always friendly, professional, and gets back to me quickly. I wanted to sign up for the monitoring service they have (one less thing for me to worry about). Unfortunately, they do not support my system yet (they are working on it, though), but Dave said that he will check on it from time to time on his own, just to help me out! Wow! It's great to know that there is a company that will assist us, diagnose problems, and do repairs for those of us who had our installers go out of business. It's a service that is greatly needed for many people. I highly recommend Sunny Energy RX!

It was difficult finding a company to diagnose my problem, let alone install new solar panels. Dave from Sunny E jumped in and replaced my solar panel within a few of weeks - it would take months for SunPower to replace a panel. I was pretty nervous finally navigating the solar energy ordeal for myself as there have been mixed…read morereviews and opinions on such a big purchase. It had me a little worried and hesitant that I would get taken advantage of or end up in a bad deal, but there is no doubt in my mind I made the right choice going with Green Muscle. Having worked for the old guard of solar sales companies it feels like they really simplified the Financials and stopped gouging the customer to finance their large operational overhead. My friend who has been in the solar business for 10 years, and whose company no longer services the valley, said that he they're the only ones he would deal with in Arizona. Jim was great and informational sales person and then Paula was there to answer every question regarding progress and scheduling. I ran all contracts, questions, and numbers through different AI for some help with critical analysis and they even agreed I was getting a great deal and the products that were being installed were top of the line. Lower total yearly cost than APS? Check. Do I own the panels at the end of the 20 year agreement? Check. Tesla battery to maximize savings came in handy in the first month with backup power while my parents were visiting? CHECK lol. Will I miss 50 dollar bills in the winter? Yes. Will I miss 500 dollar bills in the summer? Hell no. You compare a year of solar panels and recharging an electric car vs APS which will go up constantly and gas on a commute and its a no brainer.

Green Muscle installed my solar and Powerwall on December 31st. They sold it as a single day…read moreinstall because my system supposedly wasn't complex. What actually happened was weeks of touch and go work by several different techs before the system did what I was told it would do when I signed the contract. The crew showed up on time that first day. Joseph, the lead, showed up an hour late. At the end of the shift he made a point of complaining about staying late, which was him making up the hour he'd missed, and they wouldn't stay the two hours it would have taken to actually finish. The job got left unfinished and my Powerwall got left sitting outside uncovered. They had to send a tech back out on a separate trip just to put the cover on it, and this was during a stretch when we were getting scattered showers. Before the install I told Andre, my project manager, that I didn't want panels anywhere roof vents would put shade on them. They installed two right next to a taller vent anyway, so depending on where the sun was, one or the other sat in shade for part of the day. If you're looking at a string inverter system, this matters much more than it sounds like it should. Panels on a string are wired in series, so the entire string produces at the level of its weakest panel. A single shaded panel doesn't just cost you that panel's output, it drags down every panel on the string for as long as the shade is there. That's the whole reason I brought it up before they started. They ended up having to come back out and relocate both. The backup is the part I'd want anyone considering this company to read. I never asked for anything less than whole home backup, not one time, and I signed on the assurance that my whole house would run on solar. What was actually written into the contract was partial, essentials only backup. When I raised it, nobody at the company could trace back a single piece of communication showing how that decision got made or who made it. Then after the install it came out that the solar couldn't see any load that wasn't on the backup panel, which meant most of my house was never going to run on solar the way it had been described to me. Their answer to that was an energy monitor. I spent weeks troubleshooting it before we established that it could only see half of my EV charger's draw, so it was never going to solve anything. Their next proposal was to move the charger onto the backup panel and bill me for the whole home backup that should have been scoped correctly in the first place. They had also missed my HVAC controller. So when the power went out, my air conditioning went out with it and roughly 90% of my house sat dark in the middle of the day at peak solar production. In Arizona. That is the single scenario this system exists to prevent. I also ended up running the entire interconnection process with my utility, ED3, mostly on my own. Coordinating with the power company is squarely a project manager's job, and honestly it was one of the specific reasons I wanted a company that assigns a dedicated PM to every install. Andre was AWOL for that whole process. I was the one tracking where things stood, following up, and keeping it moving. Beyond that, Andre kept telling me things were normal when they clearly were not, and nothing got resolved unless I pushed for it myself. At one point he forwarded me a reply asking for a photo I had already provided in that same email chain. When it escalated, Brett, one of the owners, asked me why I had agreed to a partial backup, which put his own company's scoping error back on me, and then told me he'd lose money covering the whole home backup because of how far out I live. Most of those trips he was counting were rework his own team created. I chose Green Muscle in part because every job gets a dedicated project manager. That turned out to be the weakest part of the entire experience. The system works now, months later, and only because I wouldn't let it go.

TL;DR: It took over a year to get my solar panel system installed and activated, and it only got…read morecompleted that quickly because I stepped in and managed the project myself when Zenernet wouldn't. I signed a contract with Zenernet for a solar panel installation in August of 2021, based on fantastic reviews for customer service and being rated as one of the best solar companies to work with. Additionally, Zenernet offered Tier 1 panels. We weren't planning to finance the system, so there were no issues with banks, etc. Our original estimated installation date was the week of November 22, 2021. After signing the contract with Zenernet and approving the final design, we were waiting for the permit to install the system from the city. It was taking a long time and our estimated install date came and passed. I had a Zenernet project manager calling me weekly to give me an update that amounted to "still waiting for the permit" for about 5 or 6 weeks until I decided to investigate myself. A five minute google search brought me to my city's permit website. I looked it up and the project permit was rejected by the city almost immediately after Zenernet filed it due to it being filed under the wrong category (it was filed under "electrical" instead of "solar"). I called Zenernet to tell them about the issue and they said that they had already fixed it and re-filed the application but I didn't see that on the permitting website. I looked a few hours after talking to Zenernet, and what do you know, there was a brand new application filed under the correct category. Oh well. Several weeks and months passed with various reasons for not making any progress. I got an email from Zenernet saying that I was being assigned a single project manager to be my single point of contact as several customers had complained about having to communicate with multiple contacts at Zenernet. I replied to the email, cc'ing my project manager, and got an auto reply email from them basically saying that they're too busy and will get back to me whenever they have time. I continued to get passed around from one rep to another for months until finally Zenernet informed me that the installer that they hired for my project indicated that I needed to do some landscaping work in front of where the inverter panel would be located, but they didn't have any information about what exactly needed to be done. We went back and forth on this for weeks until I asked to talk to the installer myself and was informed that the installer wasn't responding to requests for info from Zenernet. I told Zenernet that it appeared that the installer might need to be replaced if they won't respond to their requests and won't tell us what landscaping work needed done. Several weeks passed again and finally Zenernet informed me that they found an alternate installer who was more responsive. The new installer was on the ball and found issues with Zenernet's system drawings, etc and fixed their paperwork, essentially without being paid. The new installer ultimately fixed Zenernet's system plans, city permit application and submitted an application for interconnection with the electric grid. Meanwhile, Zenernet seemed to completely give up on managing the project. I heard nothing from them for weeks on end and my messages would often go unanswered or take weeks to get a response. The new installer got all the paperwork in order and (finally) scheduled an installation date (scheduled for early August 2022). When the installer went to Zenernet's warehouse to pick up all of the equipment the day before the installation, no one was there to get them the gear. They spent the entire morning and most of the afternoon just sitting there waiting for their equipment. They tried calling my project manager and the Zenernet CEO with no response. I did the same when the installer called me and told me what was happening and that they might need to reschedule. I also called every contact I had at Zenernet, including emailing the CEO and calling both his office and cell. Someone finally got them the equipment at the very end of the workday. We got the panels installed in early August 2022 and all that was left was to get connected to the grid. Meanwhile, Zenernet was emailing me "updates" about my project that were months old. I kept replying that the panels were installed and if they wanted to be helpful, they could work on getting our application for electrical grid connection approved. I never got a reply to that. I tracked down our interconnection application and walked it through the process myself and got connected. Later, I got another "update" from Zenernet and I told them the project was done but they didn't respond. Once they called the installer and realized they were done, they sent me the invoice for the final payment, saying they wouldn't help with the interconnection until I made the final payment. Continued in attached photo.

My husband did extensive research when he started shopping around for a second system and a backup…read morebattery as we were screwed with the first company we went with. He chose this company based on their amazing reviews even though I didn't feel comfortable at all since it wasn't a local company. Another deciding factor was the rebate we were supposed to have processed for our battery which would ultimately make it free. My husband dealt with Robert Healy (senior energy consultant) throughout the process and said he was extremely helpful and communicative. During installation, there was a lot of miscommunication in regards to what they said and what SCE told us, it almost felt like we were doing most of the leg work in processing everything. The installers would just show up whenever and although they were professional and polite, they would go missing for long periods of time while they took up all our garage space with the panels. They also had shut down our first system for a month which resulted in an outrageous electric bill for us. When I asked about that when they came back a month later, they said it shouldn't have been shut off and turned it back on. In almost a year since having the panels, we still paid a bill every single month with a supposed 125% coverage. We went back and forth between this company and SCE with NO solution or help. We were frustrated and were told that it's because the weather was overcast and the panels weren't getting enough sun and that's why we were stuck with a bill. Nearing a year later, we can't get a hold of anybody in regards to the battery rebate!! My husband has emailed and kept getting passed around over and over with now zero communication from this company. Robert emailed to tell my husband on January 5th 2022 that the rebate was being processed and it would go through by the 7th, that was the last we have heard on the rebate status and we have been ignored ever since. I don't know if all solar companies are like the two we have used, but it's completely unacceptable and unprofessional. We wouldn't recommend them at all!
