We hired PEP Solar to install a 26 panel plus 2 battery system which was activated in January 2021. We have had issues with the system since inception and PEP has not been very responsive to our complaints. Now we have one panel out of service and find out they are out of business! read more

Pep solar disappeared on us in October. We hired PEP solar to install an inverter and battery. We made two payments in October one to start the design process. The second one was after they pulled a permit in December We contacted them, asked when our system was going to be completed. The reply was they had other installations in front of us. In January We reached out to them. All of their phones were not in service. They have not replied to any of our emails. We also went to their place of business in Phoenix Az and they are no longer in their office. They are nowhere to be found. We are out over $10,000 and we are at our wits end so this is our review and we will also continue with other avenues to resolve this matter. Such con artists. Do not pay cash even with the 3% charge for a credit card use a credit card is our only advice. read more

I wanted to install solar at my new home and one name that kept popping up was PEP Solar. They worked diligently with my general contractor. We had many setbacks to navigate through. Even when there was a problem with local electric company, Sean, Bonnie and team continued helping us and fixed the issue. The electric company elevated them to Preferred Installer status when they saw their work. Very friendly and professional workers. Bottom line they treated my house as it was their own and they made sure I was kept informed throughout the entire process. They worked with SRP and the county to the proper permits needed. Goran was a master at navigating this. Lies and deception. This is part two of the lies and deception of PEP Solar. I recently posted a review of Pep Solar on Yelp. They immediately responded by saying my review was "Misleading and Defamatory", neither which is true. Shortly after that I received a call from them saying that they will do everything to make it right. I was promised that they would come to my house and evaluate my system to ensure I'm happy and all is working well. I was told it would take a couple days to do an evaluation on their end and they would call me back. Well, Guess what, they NEVER called. I waited almost three weeks and call them back. More empty promises were made by Kahn. He said that he would get with Sean (the owners son) to discuss what they could do and he would call me the next morning. Guess what, He NEVER called back. So, they continue to make empty promises with zero results. Find a reputable solar company and stay far away from they guys. read more

We hired Pep Solar to install a Powerwall 3 battery and additional Solar panels to our existing solar system. The team was very professional, well organized and answered any questions we had along the way. We found the most difficult phase of the process was in acquiring the permit from the "City of Peoria". The process was lengthy, however, Pep Solar was instrumental in getting each and every discrepancy corrected in a timely fashion. Pep Solar commenced the install the day after the permit was approved even though it was in the middle of the holidays and had everything completed by years end. Update: after APS forced us to move our fence behind the system (after having approved the system's locations months before), APS allowed the system to be turned on, and it is working fine. So the last 2 months of project delay in the 1.5-year project was APS' fault. read more

This probably should have been an easy process, but it turned out to be very complicated. It took quite a bit of effort and repeated calls and emails. I was very pleased with the efforts made by Goran Mishoski from Pep Solar as he helped me work through the issues and obstacles we encountered and were able to overcome. I can report the monitoring is doing well and it is great to be able to check on the solar system on a regular basis. My thanks to Goran and the other members of the Pep Solar team in this project to get my system a Site ID -- something I did not have when the original system of 24 panels and SolarEdge inverter were installed about nine years ago. When I had to replace the inverter earlier in the summer I discovered the original installer was out of business and SolarEdge kept telling me I had to have an installer to get a Site ID to be able to connect the new inverter I had installed to the monitoring software. Now thanks to Pep Solar and the patience of Goran we have the problem solved and I am pleased with my system. Tom Betz read more

I had a 50 panel system installed by another installer this summer and it only got 27 panels to produce. Pep, and Mike, the tech, came here and figured it out quickly and with expertise. A rapidly failing solar system with a 25 year warranty is rendered useless if you can't get the parts to repair it. It started failing as early as 4 years old and is now 8 years old or so. So, minus the blah, blah, blah my responsibilility/your responsibility they installed inferior products from a now defunct manufacturer and I'm only out 25k on a partially functioning system. But for an undisclosed amount they will let me buy another system, no thanks a lot. read more

We had a great overall experience working with Pep Solar. We had some hiccups in the beginning, but they got everything squared away and back on track quickly. Things can happen and what we appreciated was the communication and responsiveness. That's very important to us. We had two Tesla batteries installed. The guys that came out to work on the project were great! Very professional, on time and friendly. The job took longer than expected as we have an older home that has been remodeled but they showed up everyday and did a wonderful job. They showed up for every inspection and stayed until they were sure everything was up and running. We also had a great experience with working with everyone in the office. They were very responsive to our questions and needs and were very easy to work with. I would recommend them to any family or friends looking to get solar or do a project. UPDATE My husband and I paid PEP Solar over $56,000 for solar panels and a pool heater. Although we were very pleased with the original customer service and the installation of all the panels and associated equipment, PEP Solar does not follow through with resolving issues. We started having production issues within the first year of operation. Instead of trying to figure out exactly what was causing the problem, PEP Solar blamed the problems on the installation of bird barriers which were installed three months after electricity production started to decline. PEP Solar began by stating that panels had probably been scratched or wires possibly perforated by the chicken wire. Within a couple months, they stated that panels were definitely scratched.... without investigating whether or not this was true. At their request, we paid to have the bird barriers removed. They stated they would come out to investigate if we removed the barriers. It was yet another false claim. They would not come out unless we gave them $3700 and agreed to pay up to $15,000 to fix the problems. We ended up hiring another company that charged only $350 to get the system running perfectly. AND there were no scratched panels and no perforated wiring. Come on PEP Solar, where is your integrity? Making false claims and false promises is no way to run a business. read more

Be fore warned. I used this company a year a ago. I would NOT recommend because of an on going issue. I've had to write complaints to the ROC, BBB, and the attorney general. Issue is still not resolved. Had great service in the beginning but soon as an issue becomes apparent they would shift the blame without any proof the blame involves another party. I called a week ago to set up having a charger installed for my Tesla. I was given an appointment on Tuesday at 2pm with Dallas. It was a phone appointment, so I made sure I was available to answer his call. I needed my car charger as the local super chargers are quite a distance away. Dallas never called. Now two days later, Dallas decides to call! Acted like he was calling on schedule. When I asked about the Tuesday appointment he said he left a voicemail. Which he absolutely did not. So to sum up my experience, they wasted nearly a week of my time. I called another electrician who came when he said and got the job done. Steer clean of PEP Solar. read more

Any company that has been doing business for 40 + years must perform honestly, be reliable and offer value or it surely will not make it to its 40th anniversary. Seems like review ratings have gone down over time. Getting a total lack of communication. Install is supposed to be today but still haven't heard anything, despite repeated requests. Will update if they ever come by to install. Ahh, 3 wks later and the install happened. Finally decided to call main office and got a lot more results than going through sales rep. Would have been nice if he told us this to begin with, rather than constantly putting us off. Install crew was exceptional. Efficient, clean and informative. Got it done in 2 days, now have to wait for all the other inspections before we can turn it on, but at least it's a start. read more

Extremely disappointing! Pep Solar installed the solar system on our home. We have a concrete tile roof which has a projected life of 50 years. We were assured Pep would not damage our roof while installing the system. They caused major damage to our roof! We have numerous leaks in our roof now which we never had before they installed the solar system. Please stay away from this company for the sake of your home & sanity! read more
