I'm a disabled veteran, and with the summer temperatures getting higher, monsoon storms and haboobs show up without much notice, and even hurricanes coming up our way from Baja. I thought it's time for peace of mind in case of a power outage that I can still have air conditioning, and use of my refrigerator for my insulin, and to power my cpap and other medical equipment. Kevin was my first quote for a new generator, and after meeting him I didn't need another quote. He was polite, but very detailed and took the extra time to answer all of my questions. Their price was competitive, not lowest, not highest. Worked around our landscaping company's schedule. Generator failed at start-up (would not generate electricity)! They not just fixed what they were hired to do (install a lighting fixture), but also fixed our electric shade with a simple adjustment saving us an unnecessary expense (vs. another contractor who had proposed a whole new costly motor). Four light fixtures replaced (not broken), 4 LED bulbs and 1 and a half hours labor, and was charged $550! Is that appropriate??? When I called Kevin for an explanation, he became very defensive and kept repeating that I agreed to pay $400 for 3 fixtures to be installed. When I explained that I thought it was much more involved than it was (each fixture took all but 15 minutes to install) he became even more defensive! He essentially charged me $550 for what a handyman could have done for $40/hr. And that was after waiting almost 2 weeks for them to give me an appointment?Would stay clear away from these thieves!
