I have a hard time recommending George's service. My problem is with the equipment he provided. I think George is very professional and very good at running cables, but we kept having issues with our audio and video from our Direct TV box to the sound system and TV. We replaced our Direct TV box at his request, but that did not fix our issue. The new TV kept going into a black screen randomly, and sound will go out. We were very patient given the circumstances for months, but the issue never got resolved. All I was asking is for the equipment to work the way it was promised, because we paid thousands of dollars. read more

I had him install 4 new ethernet ports (2 of which were pretty hard to run a cable through due to the location in the house/attic), and mount a large TV and soundbar, along with some in-wall cable/power management. He was meticulous and thoughtful every step of the way. From vacuuming up any dust/debris left behind, to clever cable wrapping so that we could extend the TV out while still hiding the cables, and everything in between. He even had some good suggestions for how to improve and streamline my setup a bit, some of which included a slight additional cost, but I never once felt pressured into any of the decisions. When I need help with my office network, I always turn to George. He came recommended to me by the owners of Pritchard Electric. Our office is downtown in a 130+ year old historic building. There has been a hodgepodge of work done to it over the years. Although the network wiring was all over the place, George was up to the task. He wired a network drop from the second floor to the first floor of our building. It's been more than a year since we had George out to extend our home network. We added a guest apartment, home office and some smart TVs to our property. In anticipation of the higher web traffic, we upgraded to Grande's 1 Gig fiber service (which rocks, by the way). But we still needed to extend the local network, which is where George came in. He extended a hardwire connection from the front house to the back house via an existing underground conduit. He installed switches and Wireless repeaters in both houses. The system has been incredibly robust and trouble free. When Austin Energy's power goes out, George is often the first to know, as he must get an alert when our network goes down. At some point, guests started to have difficulty accessing and using the WiFi. George was able to trouble shoot and repair the problem remotely. Since the root cause of that hiccup was outside of our network, we really have not had a network problem in 16 months. That's the kind of performance that's worth paying top dollar for. Being able to call George if and when problems arise has also been a great investment. We've dealt with a lot of contractors over the past few years and Simple Clarity is in the top 5%.
