    Wonderful unsweet tea. Deliciously refreshing.

What a fantastic late breakfast stop I made here. The best cooking is the simple classic done extremely well. Simmer Down hit that for me. Granted it was a single visit, but from the first interaction with staff to the first look at the plate I knew I was enjoying something special. Eggs (scrambled), bacon (crispy) and hashbrowns (wow). Yawn not, my friends. I'm a baconator, a serial bacon killer, an unabashed orderer and devourer of the swine strips. My bacon sat patiently unattended while I scarfed down the best hashbrowns! Seasoned well. Crispy on the outside and deliciously tender inside. I was sitting alone but made noises like I was passionate with another lol. The eggs were fluffy and beautifully plated. And the bacon? The baconator left licking his lips and happy. I'm going back. See you there -- I'll be the moaning solo eater with the hashbrowns. Don't be frightened or offended, just ask me what I'm eating. Lol

Biscuits & gravy plus bacon; French toast, scrambled eggs with peppers, grits, potatoes, and sausage-- delicious!

We arrived at 10:30am so the restaurant wasn't crowded or noisy which provided a good ambiance for a first date. The twin servers were great! And the food was a delight-- one full breakfast buffet AND a lunch buffet. So I also enjoyed meatloaf, real mashed potatoes, fried chicken, and sweet tea. If you haven't been or it's been a while, I highly recommend going next Sunday before 2pm.

Cute cafe with breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had a veggie omelette with grits, good flavor and the salsa was very tasty. Ambiance was calming and volume inside is relatively quiet. Great relaxing way to start the day. Attentive service as well

Even though we arrived early to surprise the Birthday girl, our table was ready, and our server brought water as we awaited the guest of honor. Service throughout our visit was excellent. Goodfolks has an extended brunch menu and some interesting cocktails to get your motor running on a Sunday Funday. Bloodies and French 75s were table favorites. Check out their online menu for a complete list of their craft cocktails and local beer offerings. Highlights were the basic classic breakfast: applewood smoked bacon, 2 Vital Farms eggs, potato hash, and Texas toast. Three of us ordered our eggs served differently, and they all arrived perfecto. Another highlight was the chicken and biscuits. This serving is huge and was a struggle for most to finish. The chicken breast arrived crispy, lightly battered as advertised. The maple sage gravy and syrup honey butter provide a sweet taste to the dish. Two of us struggled to remember what business occupied this location before Goodfolks. Thank you, Elise, for your 2022 review, which reminded us that the Burger University was the previous tenant. I would recommend reservations, as they did get pretty busy. The problem was the hostess that walked by and completely ignored us, offering nothing but a disgusted look. The bartender finally noticed the 6 of us and immediately squawked: "we're closed!!!" I don't expect a lot, but a little customer service goes a long way. How about "hi folks, we are actually closed but come back anytime before 7:30pm." Or maybe even a 'Closed' sign, so as not to upset the employees. Terrible first impression. No desire to go back.

Normally I wouldn't recommend eating at the golf course restaurant, but there are some great…read moreadvantages of coming here. First off, they accommodate large groups of people. We had 13 people in our party. We had made a reservation in advance. They had setup several long tables together in the enclosed patio area. The patio is enclosed with floor to ceiling glass wall panels that allow you to enjoy seeing the outdoors without experiencing it when it's hot and humid outside. The wall panels actually slide to open, so you can take advantage of nice weather during the two weeks of year when it actually occurs in Texas. Unfortunately for us, it was August and hot and one of the panels was off its track and couldn't be closed all of the way. We asked to be moved. Staff quickly found two large rectangular tables that were horizontal to each other. We weren't all able to sit together, but we were close enough and now inside instead of being exposed to the heat. The big draw to this place is on the outside patio. The community has built a model train track and a model of the City of Georgetown which it travels around. The train only runs on certain days and at certain times, but even when it isn't in operation, you can checkout this masterpiece. It has a fence around it to protect it from being touched, but you can still get close up to it to see the details and the action. There are several buttons placed at intervals on the fence that activate areas of the "town". One plays and Elvis song on the loudspeaker for all to hear while your attention is drawn to a tiny stage where a miniature Elvis belts out the tune and swivels his hips while a crowd in front of the stage goes wild. One of the buttons is actually the old-time speaker that you would place in your car at an actual drive-in movie theater. When you press this button, a screen in the town plays a movie. You can see cars lined up in a lot to view it. There is so much more to see and enjoy and the organizers are continually maintaining and adding to the town's features. The restaurant has a varied American menu to please a wide range of midwestern palettes. I went for the classic chicken fried steak, and got to choose two sides. The hit spiced apple slices were reminiscent of TV dinners of old, and the fried okra never disappoints. Everyone's food at table one came out at the same time, except for mine. I assumed that it didn't fit in the tray and would be out with table two. When it didn't materialize, I had to wait and watch as everyone else enjoyed their meals. It was an understandable mistake since there were two of us who ordered the chicken fried steak. Someone in the kitchen probably didn't see the "2x" on the order slip or thought if it had been written twice, it might have been a mistake. Anyway, I didn't have to wait long. The staff were quick to adjust and make things happen when slight inconveniences like this happened. There is a full bar with counter seats for patrons wanting to watch the game while enjoying a cold one. It's near the door and sheltered from the patio dining areas so that those areas can have a more elevated dining experience without having to fight for attention and yell over a TV. I would happily come back here again just to checkout the train and any improvements the group has made to the city artwork. I wouldn't hesitate to grab a bite to eat too.

My aunt and I grabbed seats at the bar for a casual lunch and a cocktail, and from the moment we sat down, it was just... easy. Comfortable. The kind of experience that sneaks up on you in the best way. I wish I could remember our bartender's name because he deserves his moment--absolute doll. Attentive without hovering, friendly without forcing it, and just genuinely good at what he does. That kind of service sets the tone for everything else. I ordered the crab cake, and let me tell you--it delivered. Nicely done, flavorful, and clearly not an afterthought on the menu. Pair that with a really solid cocktail, and suddenly this "let's just grab something quick" lunch turned into a whole vibe. What stood out most was how pleasantly surprised I was at every turn. Nothing overhyped, nothing trying too hard--just good food, great service, and a spot that knows exactly what it's doing. Safe to say, I'll absolutely be back.
