Stopped here on Fathers's Day for breakfast and it was great. Good food and outstanding service.

Bisque soup was good. Everything else could have come from a can even the N.Y. steak. Pitiful food.

Picky eater here. Searched on line for best breakfast in Clark Summit: every fast food restaurant was shown, but not independent restaurants. Kept reading and found Silver spoon. They had mixed reviews, but enough good so we thought we would order carefully and perhaps receive a passable breakfast. Molly was our server. She was friendly and prompt. Husband ordered ham and Swiss omelet with home fries & english muffin. I ordered poached eggs medium well and corned beef hash. Both breakfasts were delicious. Coffee was average, but we recognize good coffee usually does not accompany good food. We will definitely plan on stopping there next time we are in the area at breakfast time. read more

A nice little place. breakfast was good, it is pretty hard to ruin bacon, eggs and pancakes but I've seen it done. I usually get breakfast at diners but I decided go for a burger, since i had been here before. i got the asiago/monterrey burger. bacon was crisp and roll was good. the meat was cook like i asked, medium rare. there wasn't a lot of seasoning on the burger. the fries were good. so it was what i expected, good but nothing special. the service however was great and has been everything i have been there, and that means a lot in my book. read more

I like the food here, it has one or two vegetarian selections. The Veggie Burger says it's homemade but it doesn't look it or taste like it is. I'm not even sure it was made on a grill, and if you're not a fan, of microwaving you should ask them to grill it for you. The service is very good, friendly and the tables, floors and restrooms are clean. Sundays are about the only time I've eaten here and it's busy.. lots of kids and can be a little noisy. read more

I just stopped in because I didn't want to go the Waffle House. This place is great. The food was perfect. The diner is extremely clean. Even though they were busy, they provided me with excellent customer service. I will definitely return here the next time I visit Clark's Summit. read more

I have been here twice before for dinner, and the service was good, the food is regular diner food, with some nice added Greek specialties. I like their burgers and their desserts are incredible. However, this past weekend I stopped in for breakfast (it was around 10 AM, and starting to get busy). We were seated, had waters brought to our table, and even had our wobbly table fixed within minutes of us sitting down. After 5 minutes of watching 3 young waitresses buzzing around us (did I mention we were sat in the MIDDLE of the dining room?), no one stopped by to take our order, while 4 or 5 waitresses stood around at the register. We gave it another 5 minutes and walked out. This is unfortunate because the place has potential, and I have gotten good service here before, so I would say is hit or miss. Weekdays seem to have seasoned waitresses on hand and the weekend shifts seem to be covered by high schoolers. read more

Excellent spot for a quick and yummy breakfast! We ate at the Silver Spoon Diner with our 3 year old and 5 year old on our way out of town. The breakfast was really delicious. It came out super fast and the portions were huge. Best part was breakfast for all 4 of us was $25. I should also add the waitress was really friendly and on the ball. Love this place. Great for...everything. Have had their breakfast, lunch and dinner. Club sandwich is great. They serve a pickle with most every sandwich and burger. Their seafood bisque soup is fantastic, so is their loaded baked potato soup. Staff is great, never had to wait long either. Oh yeah, they have Pepsi products, too. Go there, you'll thank me. Great tasty food. But parking is shit, it's tight and small and people park like they have a mental deficiency. Food is really good but just a few bucks to pricey. As with most of the local people the the patrons are unfriendly and tend to stare at people who don't fit the local makeup. There is room for improvement. read more

The food was decent. However from the second we sat down it felt as though the waitress was rushing us. I went with my son for lunch at 12:30 on a Saturday. After ordering the waitress gave me the bill and asked if I thought we would order anything else. I said I have no idea. She then said she was leaving and I need to pay the bill. She dropped our lunches down with to go boxes grabed the tip off the table and walked out at five after one! No one ever came back to our table to see if we needed anything or if the lunch was ok. When I arrived there is a sign that states the staff will seat you, several employees walked by before I was acknowledged and seated. The food was ok, the waitress forgot my daughters drink and brought it out at the end of the meal. She was nowhere to be found most of our meal. I had ordered a side salad and there was a fly in it, should have sent it back but I just didn't eat it. When the check came, we were unable to determine how much she was charging us for and what the prices were tied to. It was a mess and didn't make sense at all. It took three staff members and about 15 minutes to determine the bill needed 80 cents added to it. They were rude and condescending in the process. This was too expensive for mediocre food and unfriendly staff. I am terribly disappointed and we will not be going back there. I highly suggest you find elsewhere to dine. read more

Arrived at the Silver Spoon Diner at 9:28 and we were seated right away. We then proceeded to sit there for 5 minutes and never got any acknowledgement from any of the staff. Just to note there were not that many people in the place and there were quite a few empty tables. The busboy was behind the counter either on his I-Phone or reading the paper. A person who we presumed to be our waitress delivered food to the booth next to ours and then promptly retreated to the kitchen. After the 5 minutes we decided to leave. On our way out we stopped at the register to explain why we were leaving and there were 4 employees standing there doing absolutely nothing. After explaining why we were leaving the only comment we got was "Sorry, the waitress must be having a bad day." This is about th 10th time we have gone to the Silver Spoon Diner and the service has always been bad, but this was the last straw. We will never go there again. What I find most amazing is that this restaurant is owned by the same people who own the Viewmont Diner and the difference is night and day. read more

Not a bad place for breakfast. We live out of town (my wife's parents live here), so we had not been here since they changed the name, and I assume owners to the Silver Spoon. I can't say anything about their lunch and dinners, but their breakfast was decent, and reasonably priced. I got Creamed Chipped Beef over Toast, and the rest of the group got an assortment of eggs, pancakes, potatoes, etc. Everyone liked what they got, and it was definitely better than Waffle House. read more

I recently received a letter from my credit card company that my credit card was lost and that my account was cancelled and a new card would be sent. I wasn't even aware that I had lost it. Apparently, I dropped it at the Silver Spoon Diner and it was under the table. The staff at the diner called the credit card company and returned my card. Thank you so much for your honesty. It is great to know that there are good people in our world. The waitress was very kind during our visit. The diner was very clean and the food was quite good. Had a good later evening meal. Turkey club and house salad.

A little pricey. Food for the most part is okay, but for some reason the cook does not know how to cook bacon. Twice now I've gotten raw bacon served to me. A couple months when dining in I got it as a side and had to send it back. You'd think between the cook and the waitress one of them would have noticed it was drastically undercooked floppy pink and white. She brought out another plate and it was overcooked but I'd gladly take that over raw. I went back yesterday, ordered 2 bacon egg and cheeses on rolls to go. Again completely raw bacon. Disgusting and chewy, I couldn't even eat it. So if you go here definitely specify that you want CRISPY bacon. The service was very pleasant both times I went here. 2 bacon egg and cheeses on roll (sandwiches only) and a side of french fries w/ cheese was $16.50. read more
