What a place! From the outside it doesn't look like much but it has lots of seating inside and a friendly staff. And the food ..... it was great. Sausage gravy and biscuits - was delicious. There was plenty of gravy and tender biscuits. The pancakes were HUGE. I had the breakfast club #4 - 2 eggs cooked just as I like them, bacon that while thin was prepared perfectly, and 2 pancakes. You really only need one. The pancakes were delicious- not too thin, had a good body and yet weren't tough. The coffee was delightful. Sometimes it is hard to find good coffee, but this is good. A local roaster from Honesdale. Always nice to support local business.

We love this place! The portion is so big... We ordered omelette for meat lovers or something like that and 3 adults could eat that and that was enough. The food is also simple but tasty. Whenever we come to beach lake, we eat here.

Good prices, great homemade corn beef hash. Omelettes made with fresh vegetables. Friendly waitresses. My only complaint,if you could call it that is the menu is slightly limited. No eggs Benedict, no breakfast burritos or quesadillas, no waffles . All in all a nice place with good food.

Was in the area for an early morning appointment at the hospital and decided to come to Lena's for breakfast. We ordered French toast and meat lovers omelette. We enjoyed are food for sure. We love this place. It's one of our favorites. Used to be called Stan's and when Lena took it over it didn't miss a beat the food's great very homemade. One thing I'd like to say. Some of the best corn beef flash I've ever had. There is an issue they do not give you enough of it. Please guys put a little more on the plate! I actually almost said something last time I was there. Give more hash when you serve the meal. But we do love it. We recommend it and hopefully they see this and understand. PS it's time and again with the hash. It's not just the one or two times. I always order it and I'm always disappointed in the amount. read more

Love this little breakfast and lunch spot. Decided I needed some breakfast while in town. Spotted this on my way into the area. Yelped breakfast and things clicked. I am so glad they did because while reading the menu I saw (fan favs) and tried the corned beef hash. Amazing!! Real corned beef and potatoes real to the naked eye. Friendly staff and patrons! The food here is really good. The burgers are especially good. Prices are very reasonable. Some of the wait staff is better than others, but I wouldn't label any of them as bad. Nice local spot to grab breakfast or lunch. read more

Corn beef hash breakfast favorite! Huge portion served very warm and delicious. French toasted with banana and strawberry was amazing. Wow Everything is very fresh. My all time favorite - the home fries (had to order for second because it was so yummy!) Great service! Staffs are so friendly and attentive and lovely. Stan's is a great little diner. Eaten here many times and the food is always good, the service is nice and the price is right. Philly cheesesteak does not use Cheese Wiz (heresy!) but is still very good. In the diner category, I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars. Nothing fancy, but better than most. read more

Stopped at Stan's Cafe for the 1st time this week. The pictures on Yelp alone attracted me there, but none more so than the pics of the corned beef hash. I ordered the hash along with that mornings special omelette. To call Stan's hash, hash, is almost a disservice! It was like tasting a Reuben there was so much corned beef! Stopped with my mom and ordered the chicken salad club sandwich. Wow, autistic friendly chicken salad at a restaurant! Yes dears, you can actually order the chicken salad here and it's made like you make it at home with your food issues. No gristle or scary stuff to throw you off chicken salad for the next six months. It was excellent on perfectly toasted rye, fresh and consistent and high quality meat. The macaroni salad was a little on the bland side but overall very good. service was top notch, friendly waitress explained things to me without hesitation and that means a lot to someone like me. Syrup seemed "foamy" and bottle had crust around to that was dark and hard to be just today's service Manager on duty was at best unapologetic & frankly didn't care about are issues as reported to her. Having heard on the phone, that seemed to be her "style". As to the food, Cobb salad was ok, nothing special. The boiled eggs in the salad were sadly well overcooked. Vert green yolks. I already noted BB the waffle as odd. Not going back. More options in Roscoe have to better! ( and are!)

I ordered a half a pastrami sandwich and a cup of soup. The rye bread was stale. I thought it was toasted, but the bottom portion was wet so it wasn't toasted, It was stale.

I must say, this place called Stans is great. We have been there twice and intend to go many more times. First visit was for breakfast. We had the daily special. Homemade Challah bread French toast. Delicious. I had a short stack of pancakes which were light and yet full of flavor. Our other friend had the Broccoli and cheddar omelet. The Broc was perfect. Not hard and undercooked like some. This was great. The Coffee was fresh and not bitter. Our second visit, we had the Fresh Black Angus charcoal broiled Burgers. WOW!!Cooked exactly like I asked. I'd give it more stars if I could! I stopped here the first time on accident but now, EVERY time I come into town I make sure to stop here for breakfast or lunch. The food is great and the prices crazy reasonable and the portions are big. It is a family run business...and I've come to love the family. The service is great as is the entire staff! The only complaint I have is that there isn't a Stan's cafe in NYC! If you are in the area...and you haven't tried it yet, you won't be disappointed! read more

I am from Long Island and always make Stan's Cafe a "must-do" when traveling through Honesdale. The food is excellent, service superior, and prices unmatched. I highly recommend the breakfast omelets & tuna melt!! They are also family friendly, going above and beyond for kids. My daughter ordered pancakes, and they arrived in the shape of Mickey ears with a whip cream smiley face. She loved it!! You'll always get service with a smile and food made to your liking. read more

I never know what to expect when trying a new restaurant & was pleasantly surprised at Stan Cafe. The restaurant was very clean, service was fast, the wait staff was very friendly and welcoming, the menu had lots of nice options to choose from and the prices were more than fair. I tried the blueberry pancakes and was blown away with how delicious they were. I definitely give this place a two thumbs up and highly recommend it. read more
