    Belmont breakfast $8

Oh so good and a great price. Don't miss stopping at this little gem for breakfast or lunch. Such a friendly place with really good food.

You could drive past this place and never realize it's open. The front is dull and uninspiring. I almost didn't go it, but some local reviews made be give it a chance. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good. The people were friendly. It's a great place to eat. The venue is very small and we had to kind of squeeze in our seats and try not to bump the next table. The parking is terrible. You must park across the street and walk across. The positives, good food, friendly service, at a reasonable price over ride the negatives. I'll be back when I can.

Really good food. Staff is just as great. Often doesn't have enough seating. A bit of remodeling and you have an A+ restaurant.

We were disappointed but we figured we would make the best of it. For an appetizer, I ordered the seafood bisque. While it was inexpensive, I did not expect imitation crab and a lot of corn. I never had seafood bisque with corn. I had one piece of shrimp in it too. Overall, the soup had no flavor. My husband had Manhattan Clam Chowder. He said it was pretty good, but he kept coughing from the spices. Still, we were hoping the dinner would be good. I ordered the fried catfish, salad, and baked potato. The potato was cold and had a lot of sour cream and butter lopped on top. It should have been served on the side as it made the potato cold, and the potato was undercooked and seemed like it was microwaved rather than oven-baked. The butter on the potato was cold and I kept getting a mouthful of butter. My husband's potato was the same. I asked the waitress to reheat my potato, but it just didn't taste good. It was still hard. The catfish tasted like frozen haddock, and It tasted like it was out of a freezer bag. My husband had cabbage rolls. He said they weren't bad, but the sauce was just plain tomato sauce. My husband got up and asked for the check and handed his debit card to the waitress.. She told him that there was a fee for using a card. He asked if there was an ATM, but there was not. The cook took the card from the waitress and just swiped it. We saw no signs about a credit card fee being passed on to the customer. The only peasant part was Victoria, the waitress. She was kind and friendly. We will not be returning though. We felt like our Anniversary was ruined.

Took my best friend to her favorite restaurant, Frank's Place in Simpson for her 50th birthday…read moredinner and WOW. From the second we walked in, the staff made us feel like VIPs. Warm, attentive service without hovering...exactly what you want for a special night. We started with the fried calamari and shrimp cocktails. Calamari was golden, tender, zero rubbery pieces, and the shrimp cocktail was huge, fresh, and perfectly chilled. Already a win. For mains, we went all out: Ribeye Steak cooked to a perfect medium-rare with a great sear, Rack of Lamb that was tender and seasoned beautifully, Lobster Crab & Seafood Fra Diavolo with just the right kick, and the Crab & Shrimp Spinach Fettuccine was creamy, packed with seafood, and didn't skimp on the crab. Every plate came out hot and every bite was spot-on. Portions are generous, vibe is cozy but still feels special enough for a 50th, and they even helped us make the birthday moment memorable. No rushed tables, no attitudejust great food and genuine hospitality. If you're in Simpson or driving through, Frank's Place is worth the stop. We'll be back with more friends in tow. Thanks for making her 50th so perfect!

This is the FOURTH time I've ordered from Frank's Place, and once again they failed to follow…read moreclearly written allergy instructions. I specifically requested no clam shells and no shrimp tails because I have a life-threatening shellfish allergy. This isn't a preference--it's a medical necessity. I included the instructions on my order, yet they were ignored again. For a restaurant, food allergies should be taken seriously. It only takes one mistake to put someone's life at risk. After four separate incident s, it's hard to believe anyone is actually reading the order tickets or communicating these important instructions to the kitchen. As the manager and operator, Frank should ensure that allergy requests are handled properly. Customers should be able to trust that clearly stated medical concerns will be respected, especially when the consequences can be severe. It's frustrating that I have to inspect and alter my own food after paying for it because I can't rely on the restaurant to prepare it the way it was ordered. This has happened repeatedly, and it's unacceptable. If your restaurant cannot consistently accommodate clearly written allergy instructions, you need to be honest with customers instead of accepting orders you aren't prepared to make safely. I sincerely hope Frank's Place improves its procedures before someone is seriously harmed!!!If you can't support the claims about delayed pay or keeping employees' tips with evidence, it's better not to state them as fact in a public review. You can still write a very strong review based on what you personally experienced and observed. Between the repeated problems with my food orders and what I witnessed as an employee, I cannot recommend Frank's Place. This was the fourth time my order was prepared incorrectly despite clearly written allergy instructions. I specifically requested no clam shells and no shrimp tails because I have a life-threatening shellfish allergy. Those instructions were ignored yet again. Food allergies are not preferences--they can be life-threatening. It's alarming that such important requests don't appear to be read or communicated to the kitchen. What makes this even more disappointing is how employees are treated. My 16-year-old son got his very first job here. I taught him that if you work hard, you'll be paid fairly and on time. Employees are told payday is Wednesday, yet pay seems inconsistent, and it's difficult to understand how wages and tips are being handled. That lack of transparency is frustrating, especially for young employees who are just entering the workforce. As the owner and manager, Frank is responsible for setting the standard. Whether it's protecting customers with food allergies or making sure employees understand when and how they'll be paid, those responsibilities matter. After everything I've experienced, I have lost confidence in Frank's Place. I hope meaningful changes are made because customers and employees both deserve better. This version is pointed, but it stays grounded in your own experiences and observations rather than making allegations that would require proof.

Throwing menus at us or throwing our food at us and immediately walking away is simply unacceptable. They were so quick to collect my bill but never came to refill my glass of water the entire hour we sat there. Food used to be top notch so I used to proudly rave and recommend this restaurant. Lines used to be out the doors and waitlist was over an hour. Now it's clear that others have had enough. The only wait I had was for someone to greet me at the door .... Wings once were smothered in delicious sauce, and you craved more and more (I recommend Ziggys and Hot Garlic). Now you get a dry wing lacking any sauce and I always have to ask to pay for extra sauce. Wings are no longer consistently quality, instead the last few times I've been in here the wings are either small or burnt. So depressing about how this once amazing restaurant is at an all time low. I hope management and staff realizes they are a part of the problem and turn themselves around. I am so embarrassed and will stop bringing people here.
