I tried the chicken cheese steak soup and it was delicious! I had to order it again. My daughter shooed a couple of choices from the kids menu. Super low prices, great portions. Very friendly staff. Bring cash because they now charge you an actual percentage on cards. Why a percentage? Unsure of the odd decor. Bar staff a bit slow. I suggest an extra bartender on busy days. Food is the same as anywhere else. If you have a group of 4 or more make sure you plan on a bit of a wait. And check your bill. There was an alcoholic drink on my friend's bill. I've been visiting the Gravity restaurant for YEARS, always for lunch. It's a spacious bar/restaurant with seating at the bar or in the dining room area. They also have a deck, but I have yet to check it out. The bar area also has some games (video, pinball, etc) to play. I've tried just about every lunch item (salads, wraps, sandwiches, soup, burgers) they have and I have never had a bad experience. The menu is pretty big and there is something for everyone. The owner/manager, Cliff, and the server/bartender, Donna are always very friendly and take the time to chat with customers when they can. The food is always very good and they have very reasonable prices. They also have daily lunch specials for $5.95. This is one of my favorite lunch spots in Waymart. read more

What a surprise. We were stay one night at the motel and came here for dinner. Was expecting simple bar fare and got an amazing meal. First the wait staff was super friendly. I had the handmade perogie and the waitress let us know we could get them frozen from the local deli. The steamed clams we very good and very large. We both had dinner specials which were top notch, basil pesto ravioli and blacked steak Mac and cheese. Will definitely come back again when we are in the area. read more

"Surprisingly delicious"! I say that because it was what I was thinking when the table next to me said the same thing to the waitress. The Reuben sandwich was perfect-very juicy and tender corned beef on toasted marble rye. The rhubarb pie was perfect-not too sweet, clearly freshly homemade. Service was punctual and friendly. They need to do something about curb appeal, because when you drive up to it, you ask yourself "do I really think this will be any good?" But go in because it was great. read more

You know I dont really say that a place is outstanding if I didn't think it was. The Gravity is one of the best places around for any food or drink. They have an excellent menu and their specials always change so there is something there for everyone. Live music is another thing that you just cant get anywhere and the entertainment is always top notch. Summer months also mean they have an outdoor patio with entertainment outside!! My wife, my boy and myself always agree to go to the gravity for a dinner at least twice a month. The atmosphere is perfect there, if you want a quiet dinner, they have a separate dining room that is family friendly. They also have bar seating and tables in the bar area. We mix it up from time to time when we do go for meals there. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner, Ive tried them all and I have never had a bad meal from the gravity. A blackened steak that I had there, dynamite, the prime rib (my wife's favorite) unbeatable. Made to order hamburgers, perfect!! The portions there are great and you can leave there pretty full! The proprietors of the property are very courteous and fast to get you another drink or serve your food. Not a bad thing to say about the service there! In closing, I would like to say that its a great spot that everyone who reads this should try, there isn't much between Scranton and Honesdale, the gravity is a diamond. read more

Very disappointed. Waited 30 Minutes for pizza that was not good. Ordered sausage and peppers, had hamburger meat instead. Hot Wings were dry and just okay. Waitress came back only few times not really checking on what else we needed. Would not recommend, only one thing good was that the beer was cold and my son liked their half coke half root beer combo. We ordered round pizza with half pepperoni and the other half sausage and green peppers. The waitress came back and only asked us if we wanted the sweet peppers or jalapeño peppers? We said the sweet peppers, she said nothing that you only make pizza with meat sauce. The wings were dry as in over cooked. We waited awhile for them also. The waitress was nice, but she never introduced herself. She was older and wore her hair up in a loose bun. She seemed preoccupied with the table next to us, who sounded like they were regulars to the restaurant. We gave your restaurant a try for your other yelp reviews 4 1/2 stars. I've been here a few times and really like the food! I highly recommend the tater totchoes, they're soooo good. They also offer the impossible burger (tastes like meat but made entirely of plants) which is very surprising considering it's in waymart! My only complaint is that they still use styrofoam take out containers. read more

I was at the Gravity Inn last night with a group. We all eat they were not that busy. We all order food it took (one hour) yes one hour to get the food. And they gave me the wrong order and had to wait another 25 minutes to get my food. This is no way to run a place. If you want to waste your time go here. It was 100% better before the virus hit. Now if I have to there to meet with the group I will eat before. Good luck if you go there. read more

This is one of the best restaurants I've been to. I live in jersey and I would drive out here just for dinner. Everything on their menu is amazing and the people are very friendly here. The prices are also really good but that might just be because I'm from jersey and am used to paying a lot for everything. Def stop by this place for food if you are near. When little is big We live in one state and needed to travel to Pennsylvania. We knew we would be arriving very late and needed a place to stay for the night. We did not want to spend much. We read the reviews for the inn. We had an idea what to expect. However, when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised regarding the attention to details which they had added to the room, such as little candies, soaps, cups and extra tissue; etc. It was all done in a tasteful way. We recently threw a large surprise party at the Gravity Inn. Cliff and his staff went above and beyond to make our event a success. I was able to plan the party remotely via email with Cliff, and when we arrived the day of, everything was perfect and ready for our guests. The food was amazing, and Cliff accommodated us adding on additional items to his buffet menu at a very reasonable cost. The staff was extremely attentive during our function, and seamlessly provided stellar service to all of our guests. They were able to manage our party guests from age 2 to our more senior guests, and were constantly available to ensure everyone was comfortable and happy. Everyone enjoyed the flexibility to choose to remain in the function room, or venture outside on the deck and yard below. I would highly recommend the Gravity Inn for any function, or meal! read more

The worse bar pizza ever it was under cooked topping that were order was hard to find on the pie.

I was only here once awhile back and that was enough. Went in with a couple of friends, ordered wings and mozzarella sticks (very simple order). Two other couples came in after us, they ordered and got their food before we did. When we did get our food it wasn't worth the money, no taste. I told the waitress the issues of waiting and the quality of the food and she shrugged it off. All in all the service and food was horrible. read more

We ate here in February 2020 and it will be the last time. The server was slow. It took her awhile to even acknowledge us with greetings and menus. The food was terrible too. My husband got fried fish and shrimp and the pieces were tiny. He got two very small strips of fish and the shrimp was mostly all batter and there was a very small amount of fries. I had the honey dipped chicken which was mostly breading with gooey batter underneath and also a very small amount of fries. The server kept sitting at the bar and I had to keep turning around several times to look at her while trying to get her attention. She was eating something that looked like spaghetti. The last time I tried to get her attention, I needed a box. She was facing me while she sat and ate but wouldn't come to our table. I started to get up and she finally came to the table. She didn't ask us how our dinner was and it was a good thing because I would have been brutally honest. What a lousy Valentine dinner. NEVER again! read more

This is beginning to happen all too often lately. Tried a restaurant that was new to us last night and had high hopes. Read the reviews and they were generally good. However, Gravity Inn fell short. Ate there last evening, there were four of us. Started with drinks which were served promptly and good. Had appetizers and they also were good (steamers, buffalo shrimp and chicken quesadillas). The main course, high hopes. I'll start with the good. NY strip steak. Was tender and tasty and cooked as requested. Good start. Stuffed flounder, again, good, didn't have much else to say, so I think she was being polite. Now for the bad. Chicken Marsala, had an odd taste, not Marsala wine, just odd and not very good. Not much more to say, just not very good. I had chicken Alfredo with broccoli. The Alfredo sauce was tasteless. There were 2 pieces of chicken. The first one I cut into was not fully cooked and rubbery. I tried the other piece and it was cooked and tender. Ate the one piece and left the other. Had very little of the pasta, as I said the Alfredo sauce was bland. Having talked about the food, the waitress was great. She was attentive, always making sure we had what we needed and prompt. When it came to clearing the table, the waitress asked my wife if she wanted to box her chicken Marsala. My wife declined and waitress asked if she didn't like it. My wife said it was fine, just didn't want it,she didn't want to complain. When the bill arrived we saw that the waitress did not charge us for the chicken Marsala. That was a very nice thing to do and good business sense. I want to thank our waitress. Will have to try the Gravity Inn again, but perhaps, stick to steaks and burgers. read more

The Gravity Inn is our place to meet. The food is always great. The atmosphere is like being home. One must stop in to meet the new staff, friendly and accommodating. In the morning, for breakfast, you can find Phyllis' smiling face making a homecooked breakfast. For lunch or dinner, you can find Cliff always greeting his guests, whether it be in the dining room or bar. We have also had several large group parties which everyone was left satisfied (...and that's hard to do in any business). We have also had the opportunity to use their catering services which was excellent. In short, The Gravity can be your home away from home. They have a set menu as well as specials to accommodate your tastes. We have also, been able to use the Motel. For our daughter's wedding shower, the Inn was clean, comfortable, and able to meet our needs for a place to stay. In short, you, too, can make The Gravity your place to meet. read more
