    Eggplant rolotini with garlic bread
    Judy S.

Stopped in for drinks and small bites. My orange cocktail was good but was supposed to be made with blood oranges and I just got regular orange garnish. My husband's drink of Black Russian was very good. We both got one of the specials. I got eggplant rolotini, which was good and plentiful with 4 pieces. I just wish the garlic bread that I got on the side would've been warm. My husband got the stuffed artichoke and while it looked great, and nice sized, it should have been cooked longer so it would've been softer. The service was good. Wait staff was very pleasant. The place was fine- the bar, where we sat, was kept clean and clear of dirty dishes (we had a disgusting issue with this twice a year ago and hadn't been back bc of this). As it was Friday night, a musician was just coming in as we left. That's always a nice touch there. I think we'll go again.

Came here for the third time now, as this is turning into our Pocono-go-to whenever we're in the area. The food is good, standard American cuisine. The staff is always very friendly. In the summer you can sit outside by the lake which is a very nice view and relaxed ambiance. This time I ate the ribs which were amazing, fell right off the bone.

We love the patio seating and this is our favorite restaurant in the lake harmony big boulder area. The waitstaff is friendly and so far we have been here on a weekday for lunch and a weekend for dinner. On the Monday, there's not much of a rush so the ducks were walking around like they owned the place. We had a duck who kept visiting our table and decided to poop right next to us so I had to eat next to poo. It didn't smell thank god. Saturday evening we came by at 645pm and luckily most of the empty seats were for parties of 2 so we did not have to wait. There was live music and maybe because there were more people, the ducks didn't walk around. They stayed by the sand area or flew into the lake. The one annoying thing were the bees that kept freaking me out. I was recently stung by a wasp so the bees were scaring me. I will bring one of those bug fans to hopefully keep them away from me. The clam chowder, wings and Caesar salad was good. Our main dishes were the burger and the steak fajitas +salmon. We will continue to order the same dishes every time we come. We love the lake view and the ducks. My toddler enjoys the sand and stomping her feet in the lake. That's her reward for eating her meal and she loves it here!

Vacation town dinner spot. Should be used to accommodating large parties, right? Most parties in the dining room were 8+ people, including my table of 14. The do not allow you to split checks per person (fair), so we split ours the max of four ways in groups. Our server did not tell us this at the beginning, and also did not track what each seat ordered, assuming we would all pay on one check. She had to go through at the end and mark who all ordered what. I totally understand how flustering this is as a server, but this place is used to large parties and could have anticipated that a group of 14 girls in their 20s would not want to all pay together. The food was ok. Vacation spot pricing. Docking a couple stars because the food is not necessarily up to par with the pricing. I had the band bang shrimp, which was very good, but I wish they had tossed the shrimp in the sauce instead of the dipping on the side situation. For my entree, I ordered the tuscan shrimp orzo. It was good, I think a different pasta shape would have carried the flavor better. I'd recommend them going with an angel hair and lemonier sauce. I never do this, but had to sprinkle a little salt from the table onto my dish. I'm not really a burger person, but that's what the majority orders here. The view is great and we got to watch a beautiful sunset. Service from the bar was quite slow. My buddy ordered a dirty martini and they brought out a fairly clear drink with a lemon garnish. Is this a northeastern martini recipe I'm not privy to? I believe this is one of the only options in town. It's not a bad one. I would be very curious to explore around here during ski season!

Lovely lake views and friendly service. The food is pretty good too and decent cocktails. Lovely atmosphere. Plenty of parking in their lot. We had tacos as appetizers and they were very good. I wish I had ordered more for my entree. They still had their Oktoberfest menu items as options when we were there so I ordered a sausages sampler to have their bratwurst and knockwurst. They were good, not great. The mashed potatoes were very good. My boyfriend had the Jaegerschnitzel and it was tasty. Thin and crispy on the outside, just how you want it. Next time I will order more off the regular menu.

Supposed to be two berry mojitos, too bad they forgot the liquor.

Our recent visit to Boulder View Tavern left a lot to be desired -- especially when it came to service. Right from the start, things were off. Three people in our party ordered the *exact same drink*, yet somehow all received different ones. When we brought it to the staff's attention, we were told they couldn't take the incorrect drinks off the bill but could offer replacements. Not only is that a frustrating policy, but to make matters worse, we were still charged for the original, incorrect drinks AND charged for the new drinks that were also inadequate. The service overall was consistently poor. Our waitress was barely present, and it felt like we were constantly searching for someone -- anyone -- to help us. Even trying to track down a manager was an ordeal. As for the food, it was below average and definitely not worth the price point. The menu reads like you're in for a decent meal, but what shows up is uninspired at best. You get very measly portions for the price you pay. We were hoping for a nice night out, but between the drink debacle, inattentive service, and subpar food, we left disappointed. There are too many great places around to spend your money -- unfortunately, Boulder View Tavern just isn't one of them.

Had a great time at the bar! The host and bartender were super friendly. The piña colada shrimp kabobs were tasty, and the chicken wrap (without bacon) with honey mustard hit the spot, though the house chips were a bit overdone. The back patio opens to another outdoor bar for warmer months, and we even watched someone launch a pontoon boat--pretty cool! The lake view is stunning and not something you see every day. Worth a stop if you're in the area!

Boulder View Tavern is an excellent bar offering Great Lake front views. This is a great spot especially in the summer to grab dinner and a drink as they have a large patio. The food was great as well the Brussels topped with bacon and balsamic glaze, the pretzel with pub cheese, French onion soup, and the short rib grilled cheese. The food was really delicious and a great value too. Service was friendly, great, and really accommodating to us a big recommend from me.

This is our third visit, our conclusion. Small menu, salty dishes, not worth the cost if you know how to cook a simple dish. Nice place to try, but not a regular spot for us. Time to move on.

Really nice place to go eat when you're on the mountain. The food is delicious highly recommend making reservations, especially during the summer months. Limited menu but everything is yummy. Hang out at the bar and listen to the live music on Friday and Saturdays from 6 to 9 ordered appetizers had a really great time. Service is amazing!

We got done paintballin' and were starving. So I ran over to Yelp and saw this place. Outdoor seating was my only prerequisite. Boy did this place have it. Ducks and all. A lot of angry duck noises and bird poop on the deck. That is where everything that's good about this place stops. Start the clock. 3:50 we arrive. We're seated pretty quickly. Then the hostess tells us her shift should've ended already. It's shift change over time. We sit for a while. Which was fine except that I really needed water. Finally our server comes over and takes our order. We get 3 different beers and an unsweetened ice tea. The server also took our order just to get things started. One of us ordered a Caprese salad and was asked if they wanted bacon and avocado on that. Which we would later learn was a significant upcharge. Has anyone ever asked you how you wanted your burger by saying Pink or no pink? They told us those are the only options because they don't have a way to check the temperature of the burger. We sit for a while and then comes the two $8 tea cups of lobster bisque we ordered. Still no water or drinks. So I'm like whatever at least it's kinda liquidy. This was pretty much melted creamy butter. I don't know if there was lobster in it. We sit for a while and then here come the drinks! 3 waters for a table of four. I got a sweetened iced tea after asking for unsweetened. I honestly didn't mind though. It was good. Then she mixed up the beers and when corrected said "oh I do that all the time." But one was yellow and one was brown so I should think it was hard to tell apart. I guess also, if you order tea, you forfeit water? We sit for a while. The food comes. Each sandwich came with the smallest amount of fries I've seen given. I tried ordering another side of fries and it just never came. It wasn't on the bill though so whatever. The Caprese salad somehow morphed into a Caprese chicken sandwich, which I don't recall even seeing on the menu. The sandwich also appeared to be devoid of cheese but had the avocado and bacon that was promised. Overall he said the sandwich "didn't taste like much." I got the Ahi Tuna wrap. It wasn't good. It was sopping with some spicy sesame sauce that made it impossible to taste any of the ingredients. Also very spicy so I needed another water. So I asked. We sat for a while. Finally the check and another water came. We considered just leaving the card and having it mailed back. I don't know what was going on here but the service wasn't good. Arrived 3:50 - left 5:20. A good portion of that time was sort without any drinks. That should be the easy part right? If I ever came here again it would be to sit at the outside bar and purchase some drinks. As a restaurant it's expensive and the food kinda sucks.

This is a very sad pour for the price.

I want to like this restaurant but this was the glass of wine I received last night. Such a sad pour for the price. Outside in the summer is a different experience. Food was good. Our server was nice.

YELP brought me here on a Sat. Rainy Night . It was busy, the parking was a little tough but managed. Hosting was a little disorganized but managed to get a nice high stool table at the bar. Excellent view of the lake. Too bad due to the rain. Server was very nice and friendly. She was real cool. They had a Live band that does cover songs. The Smash Burger was on point. Go with Pink! The cauliflower bites were good. Good sauce The "Twiskey" is an amazing drink that starts off like a old fashioned and ends up tasting like a mojito ...never had anything like it.

We were seated in a cozy back room with a fireplace. We started off with a couple Caesar salads to share, and it was honestly one of the best I've had. The croutons were so good I wanted to ask for a bag to go. We all got steaks for our entrees. My filet mignon was perfectly cooked and super tender. The au poivre sauce wasn't our favorite, but the béarnaise and shallot butter were really good. For sides, we ordered the carrots, potatoes au gratin, mashed potatoes, and truffle fries. Sides are large and can definitely feed 2-3 people. Tbh, sides fell short compared to the steak. The potatoes were a little bland. The carrots were the favorite among the sides. Our server was amazing and even offered us a ride to Shenanigans, which was unexpected but so nice.

I ordered the broiled seafood which came with fingerling potatoes and asparagus. I loved it. My husband got prime rib. It was fine just as he asked but it was only lukewarm. For dessert, I got the vanilla cake with brown butter bourbon sauce, which comes with vanilla ice cream. It was good but I wish it had more sauce on it. My husband got ice cream topped with amaretto and he got 3 full scoops of ice cream! I also got decaf coffee and she made a fresh pot for me, which I appreciated. We didn't see all the renovations that they did recently but we liked what we did see.
