Delish pub food! The bar participants are always a hoot as well. One of the few places left with a salad bar.

It's unassuming and as original a menu as you can get within the burger genre. The vegheads in our party had to settle for grilled cheese and fries, because that's literally all they have without meat except for the three bean veg burger, but they were EXCELLENT. The meat-eater really liked his Yard Burger, which was a ton of stuff piled on top. But you can also get just a plain hamburger and a plain cheeseburger, nothing else added! The bread and buns were really fresh. The vibe here is industrial chic, but I think this is unaffectedly so and perhaps unintentional. This location is squirreled into a kind of shotgun-shack retail space, very narrow -- just enough room for one layer of seats opposite the counter and kitchen, so you can see all the action. No frills, but not shabby at all. This location has entrances front and back, which was good for us and allowed more light than you might expect to come in. Excellent restrooms. We quite enjoyed it and wished we'd had the appetite for shakes. Some unusual items: first off, they have a lambburger. Lamb is fabulous or at least it was before I was made into a veghead. It's really great they offer it. The other great unique item was Harney and Sons ICED TEA in a bottle, which I've never seen outside of Millerton NY (where Harney's is located.) One of us had the black tea, the other green tea. It was not overly sweetened, and was just really high quality. I'm not sure I've ever quite had an iced tea from a bottle quite this good. The staff were also wonderful. All in all such a pleasant experience we are now going to plan our travels up and down the Northway with this place in mind, as long as we have a carnivore in the party.

The inside is a bit small at the front, although there was more space toward the back for larger parties. There can be a wait, so try to get a reservation if possible. When we came for dinner, the lights were dimmed so it gave off a very elegant and intimate vibe. Our server was friendly and our food came out in a timely manner. My friends and I got the Spicy Raw Marinated Crab, Kimchi Pancake, Galbi, and Spicy Grilled Pork Japchae. I LOVED the Kimchi Pancake! Probably the best one I have ever had. It was so crunchy, tasty, and filled with kimchi. I find that some places skimp out on the kimchi and add a lot of onions instead, but not here. The poached egg on top also served its purpose well and added a great flavor to the pancake. I really liked the Galbi too. It tasted like a high quality of meat and it was super tender. My only wish is that I wanted it to have more of a char, but not a big deal. I tried a bit of the Spicy Grilled Pork Japchae and I was pleasantly surprised at the taste. I enjoyed the japchae and grilled pork more than I thought I would. My friend thought the dish tasted a bit Vietnamese, but I think it was because of the toppings inside? While I did not try the Spicy Raw Marinated Crab, my friends really liked it. We also got complimentary barchan which was amazing! I love their steamed egg and kimchi. This was by far my best meal in NYC. I loved all the food I ate, which is surprising because Korean food is not one of my favorite cuisines. The banchan was especially great too. I would definitely come back here!

Depending on how long guests stay sometimes those seats are available as a first come first served so we were lucky. Our server was great and she explained the menu. I opted for the chefs menu which did not disappoint. Every course was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. It was fun to try everything including their starter course of three items. The oyster miso was quite a stand out for me. All of the fish prepared was delicate and lovely. The Parker rolls were soft and a nice complement. My friend who is less adventurous with seafood opted for their shrimp tempera roll, which was as good as you could make a shrimp tempera roll. Well prepared as well as their charcuterie board which we could not finish after everything. It was a memorable night I won't forget with nice entertainment and great staff. It's a low key establishment from the outside but once you are in it feels a lot more trendy. The stage is right in the front and all the tables can get a good view of the stage. The music can be loud at times and the ambience is more on the dimly lit side but still a great spot. The service was great, and the drink selection was cool too. I would definitely pick from the selection of speciality cocktails. I got the smoked old fashioned (or similar) and that was potent, Smokey and delicious. We also got a few bites to eat. Other than the tuna tartare (didn't feel fresh) everything we got was nice - nigiri combo, kimchi fried rice, kings toast.... Nice drinks, nice atmosphere, good food and great service!!
