Best breakfast experience in a long timee. The staffs were friendly and the space was accommodating. Located right next to the gas station. Convenient. I ordered a soup of the day, it was manhattan soup and the clam texture was my fav. The flavor of the soup was also very good, nd it had potatoes. The pigs in a blanket on the menu was very interesting and i loved the portion. Buttermilk pancake, wrapped around sausage links. Yum, and so were the pancakes. The chicken salad sandwich was a bit bland, but the smothered chicken cheese steak sandwich was pretty good. But the omelette and the burger was top tier. One bathroom but i didnt get to go. We stopped here yesterday for breakfast. The servers were very attentive and the food was delivered very fast. We ordered the banana nut waffle and cinnamon raisin dollar pankcakes. I was expecting a waffle that had banana and nuts in the batter, what I got was a waffle with sliced bananas and walnuts on top; disappointing. It should have said a waffle with bananas and nuts on top, and trying doing candied walnuts - these were plain walnuts. The waffle was good but totally misleading based on the name. The raisin silver dollar pankcakes and small raisins at the bottom of it and hard raisins and cinnamon sprinkled on top if; the raisins look liked...well, a picture speaks a though words so u can identify what they look like. They should have at least put the raisins in hot water to plump them up. The meal was inexpensive so that was a plus but would never go here again. read more

The good part: the food isn't bad, but how much can go wrong with breakfast food? It's nothing special, just a place to get bacon and eggs. The bad: if you go here and it is the slightest bit busy, leave. You will wait over an hour for your food while you watch them box up take outs orders and ignoring the customers sitting at their tables. They have very little organization or flow, and you can see the tickets stack up while they are clueless how to actually turnover tables. Again the food isn't what makes this place bad, it's the fact that you have to wait for something that is definitely not worth the wait. Make your breakfast at home. read more

Lori's corner kitchen is located next to the Valero gas station on 590. There's also a seasonal ice cream stand behind it. We love Laurie's for breakfast. During COVID they have to leave every other table vacant so there can be a wait when you arrive. The only reason Laurie doesn't get five stars is because we always wait forever to get our food. It seems as though they do get the takeout orders faster than the in-house. my suggestion if you go be patient and know that you may be waiting a while for your food but it'll be worth it. read more

So I've been coming to this place for several months now for lunch. Every time I come, I get dealt bad service. The food is ok but nothing to be in the mood for, the service is where they lack a whole bunch. It's the only place to eat at this area, so that's why I've been going to this place. Today, is my last day because they never came back to see if I needed anything and never refilled my drinks. They weren't busy at all. They are also over priced and very stingy with chicken. The water lady with glasses is clueless , she lacks awareness and has no motivation at all in her body. She definitely hates her job, if she does why don't she just leave. She looks like she just woke up because every time I see her, she's in her pajamas or gym clothes. This place could be good diner spot if management or owner took their job seriously. This was the first time I ate at this establishment and I had their warm cherry cream cheese, stuffed French toast, which was absolutely delicious. It was presented well with a dusting of powdered sugar. The service was fantastic and fast. A great little spot for a quick breakfast in the morning. read more

Driving around the area on a Sunday as it was approaching lunch time, We saw this place and the parking lot was pretty crowded so we figured we'd give it a try. Tables were turning over when we walked in so we didn't wait long to be seated. Staff was friendly and courteous. We waited 45 min for an omelette and grilled ham and cheese. It wasn't like they got slammed it seems to be a steady trickle of guest entering this place. The kitchen is right there so I'd guess it has more to do with the set up. Didn't seem like a well organized kitchen. The food was mediocre and the oil they fried the fries in tasted old. We were disappointed. They do have an ice cream stand in the parking lot that I'd go back and try. read more

We really wanted to like this place. Local place and I see the owner and her daughter always there, and we love to support local business. Unfortunately extremely disappointing food and super slow service both times. Our first try was for lunch and we placed a lunch order to pickup. I arrived when they said it would be done, but had to wait 20 extra minutes. There is no place to wait for pickup as there is only one checkout table. Poor planning. The quality as the coldcuts were poor quality, and neither of us finished our subs. We then tried again for breakfast to give them another try. Really wanted to like them. We got there at 10am. Sunday. It should have been a sign while waiting 20 minutes to be seated I saw two other people ask for the checks as they could not wait any longer for their food. After ordering it took us 1 hour and 30 minutes after ordering to get our food. Ordered at 10:15 and we did not get our food until 11:45. Wow. And that whole time the staff did nothing but offer us coffee periodically. We should have ordered lunch. We were near leaving and asked the owner what was the holdup and she said "well we had some pancake orders and our grill is only so big". Perhaps buy a bigger grill ? There is only so much coffee you can drink waiting that long for food. Even if the food had been spectacular, that long of a wait is hard to swallow, and unfortunately the food was also. Not good. Even as hungry as we were eating breakfast finally at 11:45, no one finished their food. Their Omlet was poorly seasoned, Freachtoast was not flavorful, Eggs had a funny taste, bacon was underdone, hashbrowns had a funny spice and not good, and pancakes were nothing special. I don't understand some of the negative reviews. We were seated fast and our order taken quick. Food was out in 10 minutes and it was delicious. The restaurant was about half full. The food was quite abysmal. We went looking for a good country breakfast and just got the worst service and worst breakfast I have had in any restaurant. The french toast was just warm bread with powdered sugar, not french toast. The toast was not toasted, I asked for eggs over medium and got eggs over very easy. We did not get any syrup until we were able to manage to stop our server halfway through our meal. I never was offered nor received a coffee refill at ANY point ever. I could not even manage to stop anyone to ask or beg to fill my mug. No one, not once came by to ask us if we needed anything. And someone dropped a check on our table and walked away. They only take cash, I used the atm in the restaurant to get cash, but noone would check us out at the register, I finally asked a passerby if I could just leave the money on the counter with check, so I did. The food was just bad. The service was even worse. I have never felt so unsatisfied after leaving a restaurant. read more

Although I can understand not taking new customers there's something wrong with the door lock so all the customers trying to exit can't seem to get out. Every time a waiter / waitress was close they wouldn't even look at other tables they would just buzz by. Food was typical diner fair. Greasy but good. Small portions meaning my buffalo chicken hoagie was mostly bread not that much meat. The fries came in a large plate, were light crispy and tasty. The beer battered cod sandwich was good. Perhaps they were having an off day. Id come back to see. Great little local spot for a quick breakfast or lunch. Dinner is only served on Fridays from 5:00-8:00pm and is a buffet for $8.95. If you're a local or just a weekender, this is a great place for amazing breakfasts! (Haven't had lunch here yet.) I had a vegetable omelette that was HUGE and made to order with no problems. Never ever come to this place again! Service is seriously bad! I have four hungry children waiting for our orders. The server never told us before we sat down that they were delayed with all of the food orders and there is an hour an half wait! We waited for 45 minutes for our one appetizer order! Then when I asked the server when our food get to our table, she said that it will be 30 minutes or so after the appetizer! Such a horrible terrible experience!
