Went with a group and had chicken pot pie, pastrami & Philly cheese steak. Food was really good. The service was great and waitress was wonderful. Got cheese cake and cherry pie for dessert. Nice little place and the ambiance was pretty nice.

I have to say I CANNOT recommend their outgoing orders thru DoorDash anymore & NOT because of DoorDash. ALL I ever order is a TUNA SALAD SANDWICH ON white toast, THATS IT. Simple right??? It was GREAT for a while. Then I got a tuna MELT. NOT what I asked for. So THE DINER replaced it AND PUT NOTES ON THEIR MENU FOR ME to order from the "sandwich board". I did that today & got tuna WITH NOTHING. NO MAYO, NOTHING. Just tuna thrown from the can onto bread!!! WHAT DOES IT TAKE to get TUNA SALAD, the actual real tuna salad mixed with the mayo & everything else ON BREAD WITH LETTUCE?? Why wouldn't this be questioned?? I've tried 3 different ways to order a tuna salad sandwich FROM THE MENU THEY PROVIDE on Door dash AS WELL AS them telling me themselves to order thru the sandwich board & they still cannot get it right!!!

We have now twice coming home from our son's college in pa. If you like old fashion diners this is the place for you!! The menu is huge with choices! Breakfast all day is our favorite!

First time here. We stopped in for a late breakfast. Nice menu. They had a lot of egg wraps. I got the Big mans wrap. It was very good. My wife had French toast with bacon. She said it was good but not that hot! Service was great. Place is clean. We are moving to Milford in a month and will be regulars.

This is a five star diner that we frequented more than once on our trip to Milford. We also did two take out orders and have no food complaints at all. Really on point and fresh food! Sweet Potato fries, chicken noodle and beef barley soup all very good! I had a Russian wrap and that was delicious also. Very courteous and friendly service.

I've been around Milford for a couple years now but hadn't found time to be able to just stop at this lovely diner and enjoy everything it has to offer until this year ! My husband and I love it. We've always wanted to have a special diner for just us with a special booth and this place snagged our hearts the moment we ordered. Everything was perfect, the service and food and ambiance and community and energy was everything you'd want in a homey town diner and we've been back every weekend we have been able to stay in Milford since and we will continue each time we come to visit ! Our first night back where we live now and we said damn if only we had Milford Diner down the street, it would make our day better ! So thank you Nick for the best diner and service and late night talks. I recommend this place for any time of day. The mornings are fun and the nights are chill, it's perfect

This place has been around for a long time but don't let the impressive age fool you, it is clean and well maintained inside! I went with a large group (10) and they sat us in the back room of the restaurant. There were lots of TVs with different channels all around the room. Our server was so sweet, knew the menu well, and was attentive to us. When I originally ordered the avocado toast she even clarified that it's not your typical avocado toast with mashed avocado, it's more like a sandwich with sliced avocado. I'm glad she clarified because while that might be what someone else wanted...it's not what I had in mind! The menu could be looked at as 1- "there's something for everyone" or 2-"I don't know where to look there are so many options". There were at least 8 pages (probably more) jam packed with options. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they offer gluten free bread and pasta for a small up charge! That triples what someone who is gluten free can typically enjoy! The food was good and everyone left very content with their meals and the overall experience!

I've been driving past this place since 1983 when I moved to NY. I finally stopped in and was very pleased with the quick and friendly service, good quality food and good portion size. I will be eating here when I roll though Milford in the future.

My partner grew up coming to The Milford Diner and can attest that it hasn't changed during the years he has visited. Their food is always good. Staff is always friendly. They also frequently have specials! I appreciated that during a long car ride they let my dog sit inside with us. 5/5. Will absolutely be back on our next big drive in this area. Don't miss out on the chicken noodle soup!!

Ask the Community - Milford Diner

Do they have gluten free items on the menu?

Yes! They incorporated their gluten free options onto their main menu. You can substitute with gluten free bread and pasta (just be sure to confirm the rest of the sauces/toppings are GF). Their sweet potato fries are also gluten free, I did not ask… Read more

My friend had been to Bar Louis two years ago and remembered one dish she could not forget - the Sushi Pizza. She said it's one of the reasons she returns to this little enclave in northeastern PA. Descending the hotel stairs to the venue, the vibe at Bar Louis is welcoming and cozy. The bartender, who took time to help my friend find a Rose wine that she said was excellent, also made a food recommendation - the pan roasted chicken breast. We started with the pizza. I had absolutely no idea what to expect. My first bite was jaw dropping - the base is a crispy, sticky rice, that's thick and lightly fried in a tempura - it was perfect. The topping - well, was over the top. Tuna crudo, so fresh and tender, topped with caviar and a mild chili aioli that's heavenly. It was one of the most unique dishes I've had. We followed the recommendation and ordered the chicken. It was flavorful, full of juice, with wild mushrooms and fennel. It was superb. After such a great meal, the dessert had quite a bar to reach, but it had no problem meeting that challenge. The semi-sweet chocolate pot de crème was amazing - I have OCD - obsessive chocolate disorder and this satisfied all my desires and compulsions. It was that good. We will be returning to Milford next year for more hiking.....and sushi pizza!

Mountainhome Diner has been around for years and is your typical diner with all-day breakfast available. It's clean and the staff were exactly what you want in a diner with friendliness and hospitality. I went with a breakfast sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant with some well done potatoes. My friend had the scrapple with some scrambled eggs. I also had an orange juice. The orange juice I did not care for. Definitely not fresh squeezed. But the sandwich was excellent along with the potatoes. My friend also loved his coffee and scrapple with egg. The current owners since 2017 are husband and wife restaurateurs Ali and Etab Abullattif. My family and I visited Mountainhome Diner for lunch on a recent trip to the Poconos. It was actually are last morning on our trip and we were looking for a place to grab lunch before making the drive back to Connecticut. We had driven past the diner several times on previous visits to the area, but had never visited before. We decided to give them a try. It seemed like a classic American diner that you could find just about anywhere. There's no website, no social media accounts, just good old-fashioned diner staples. The staff were friendly and accommodating and they seated us at a booth. A go-to dish that my wife and I both like to get at classic diners is a Greek salad, and Mountainhome Diner's "Big Fat Greek Salad" (chopped iceberg lettuce, crumbled feta, olives, tomato, onions, peppers, grape leaves, house Greek vinegar) sounded like it was just what we were looking for. I ordered mine with gyro while my wife ordered hers with chicken. Those salads really hit the spot! For our sons, we looked to the Kids Menu. Our older son had the "Hot Dog with French fries" while our younger son had the "Chicken Fingers with French fries". They were both very happy with their dishes. We had a nice time at Mountainhome Diner and we're happy that we finally stopped in. We recommend them to anyone visiting the area!
