I am so excited to write a review about this unexpected gem in Lords Valley, PA which my wife and I enjoyed unexpectedly yesterday. Food: I ended up getting the Hunter Valley Burger and my wife got the Tuna Melt Panini. To speak specifically about my meal, it is one of the five best burgers I have had period. The combination of flavors just made it a joy every bite and I never felt like one bite was better than another. The fries were perfectly cut shoestring fries. We ended up getting dessert, apple streusel, which was also outstanding with some strawberries complimenting the flavor Aesthetic: clean, simple set up with ~12 tables and dessert container on the right side of the room. Service: our waitress Kim was the only waitress there but she was on top of everything even despite ir being busy around lunch time.

Hunter Valley restaurant was a pleasant visit. It has good visibility, along Route 739, and there's plenty of parking within the strip mall. As soon as we entered, we were met by the owners. They were so helpful and accommodating with our many questions regarding their many items. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated, and has plenty of seating. I don't usually give kudos to regular coffee, but this one was commendable and the refills were appreciated. Every single entree was enjoyed, the portions were large, and all of the ingredients were fresh. We enjoyed the Spanish Omelet, the Hunter Valley Burger, the Cast Iron Roasted California Quail, and the Falafel Panini. For dessert, we enjoyed the Crepe Chocolate Cake. Every layer of this cake was rich, the perfect amount of firmness, and the presentation was nice. I will definitely return to Hunter Valley and am certain that you'll enjoy your meal and service.

Ok so I'll start by saying some of the dishes are a bit pricey but they are all excellent . I had the wild boar schnitzel and I think it was a great deal only $25 and it was a huge portion and absolutely delicious ! Loved the wild rice pilaf and side of mushroom sauce . Food is really good quality and great . We were to full to get dessert but next time I'm getting the vanilla crepe cake . Highly recommend this place !!!

I was en route south to Tennessee and hungry. Went on Yelp and saw good things about this place. Another plus for travelers is that it is not too far from the highway exit. The menu is original and varied...if I had had more time, I might have had a bigger meal, but I was very happy with the tuna melt and grilled veggies!! I hope to return some day!

The food here was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful. They had lots of vegetarian options and the food presentation was great! Will definitely come back.

    Traditional Newfoundland Moose Stroganoff

Sometimes you stumble on a place that doesn't seem elegant or "Instagramable" but the food is just out of this world. Actually out of this country because the owner is Russian and he can cook like nobody's business. My wife and I started out with the homemade fried pelmeni (chicken) and were pleasantly surprised. I had ordered the Traditional Newfoundland Moose Stroganoff and my wife ordered the Wild Boar Bavarian Schnitzel from their "From the Hunter's Bag" part of the menu. Who knew you can get these exotic meats in the middle of nowhere. We were amazed and highly impressed for sure. The meat was tender and each plate had enough food for leftovers. But we ate everything!! And as if that wasn't enough, we had to share a slice of their in-house vanilla crepe cake. Amazing. The food was so good we asked for a menu just so we can go back again. And trust me, we will.

Crepes with Smoked Salmon & Caviar. Yummy!!

We had a great experience at Hunter Valley. The menu is sophisticated and unique but still has all the basics. The crepes with smoked salmon and caviar were beautifully prepared and absolutely huge (and super delicious). The burger was juicy and delicious, too. There is sort of no ambience, it's like an upscale diner vibe but with all this unbelievable food. Super sweet staff, welcoming and warm. We are looking forward to going back! Highly recommend.

From the moment we made our reservation, the staff went above and beyond to make our evening special, asking if it was a special occasion and greeting us with a personalized note on our table and flutes of champagne upon being seated. The ambience was perfection, cozy yet spacious, with a warm fireplace, perfect lighting, and comfortable seating that made us feel relaxed and pampered. Our server, CJ, was absolutely top-notch, attentive without being intrusive, and added so much to our experience. We were treated to complimentary potato wedges as a taster, and I had the best Moscow Mule I've had in over a year--setting the perfect tone for the evening. We started with the bacon mac and cheese, perfectly savory and indulgent. For our main courses, my husband enjoyed a New York Strip, and I had the crabcake with fries. I also ordered the maple sriracha Brussels sprouts with bacon, which were out of this world. The portion sizes were generous, making it easy to take home leftovers for a second helping the next day. Dessert was the bread pudding with caramel butter topping, a decadent finish that left us completely satisfied, and the dark chocolate sea salt frogs that came with our bill were such a thoughtful, personalized touch; little details like that make memories. As parents of three, nights out are rare, and indulgence like this is even rarer. This was truly a night to remember. Even as a local for 19 years, I'm embarrassed it took us this long to visit, but I can now say with confidence...we will be back. Bravo to the entire kitchen staff and CJ for making our anniversary unforgettable. If you're looking for a restaurant that goes above and beyond, this is it!

As an out of towner who has access to amazing cuisine options in my area this restaurant gets three stars and that's being nice. When you walk in it's like a motel entrance. Literally it has all the tourist pamphlets lining the entrance to the hostess stand which doubles as the front desk of the hotel. It's not welcoming and feels cheap. To get to the restaurant you walk down a narrow long bar area where plenty of locals (I'm assuming) were enjoying happy hour. Loud and unwelcoming imho. We were seated in a two top which is super close to another two top. When I requested a booth in leu of the table (every booth was empty) the hostess said they were all reserved. Noting during our entire dining experience there were empty booths. Felt a little shady. Server was very sweet and great personality but unfortunately was not very fast. Every time she finally came back to the table she was apologizing for taking so long. She had other tables but wasn't in the weeds that we could see (in my youth I worked both as a server and hostess). The homemade bread we were looking forward to wasn't fresh and it was lacking taste as was the dipping oil. Adding salt and pepper helped the oil dip. Even though we were both hungry we didn't eat all the bread. That's a problem. We ordered clams as an appetizer. Again, tasteless needed salt, no flavor otherwise. For dinner, I ordered a seafood trio with Brussel sprouts. My husband ordered a fillet cooked, medium with a baked potato. The crabcake lacked flavor had way too much filling tasted like it came from Cisco. After a second bite, I would not eat anymore. The shrimp was ho hum and the lobster not that great either. My husband's steak was very bland no flavor in the meat even though it was cooked to temperature with a slight char on the outside. Because of the slow service and lack of flavor in the food we just wanted to check and get out of there as quickly as possible. What a bust for over $200.

Once you enter through the store, there is a sign to wait to be seated. The place has a nice and bright rustic vibe to it. I really liked the decor and table setup. Even the napkins had a rustic vibe. Started off with the potato scoop ($16) which was my fave item. The potato was shaped like the Fritos scoop chip, and the cheese dip that came with it had chunks of cheese in a melted cheese sauce. For my main, got the pulled pork sandwich ($16), which came in a pretzel knot bun and creamy slaw. It was solid meal and very filling. Other mains ordered were the roast beef "pho" style sandwich ($16) which I had a bite of and it was good and not what I expected thinking roast beef. Roast turkey ($16) was warm and also tasty. Each of the mains came with a side of potato salad. I will be back to try the sloppy Joe and their dinner meals. Lettuce in the Caesar salad was wimpy and bright yellow; no green leaves. Should have been served already tossed with a better dressing and shaved Parmesan cheese used. Lobster ravioli seemed to be enjoyed by friends that ate it. I had Ahi tuna served on top of salty humus and a side of sweet roasted carrots with a few pieces of mixed greens a two cherry tomatoes( not sure what this was about but it was not a good mix with tuna). I asked for broccoli instead but it did not come out with plate but waitress brought a few florets out. The one order of short ribs looked nice and was excellent in taste. It was served on to of garlic mash that were not that tastey and grey looking; not fluffy. The meteranean chicken was similar a fried breast stuffed with 'stuff' with greasy risotto This should have been a healthy dish ; I do not recommend. Waitress said all desserts were homemade. The cheesecake was good. The coffee was really good and turned out to be Maxwell house brewed in a Mr. Coffee machine. I won't come back here. Plate presentation needs improvement and side dishes as well. We were all looking for some chicken wings there which we remember from the old days. Good efforts but the prices charged do not match the quality and presentation of you get. I was expecting more and coming from New York City ; a lot of improvement in food served is really needed. Good luck!
