Chicken Stir fry
Darren B.

Recently reopened with new owners, the White Pine has updated its decor and menu. Absolutely everything that we had was as good or better than I've ever had. The Stir Fry in a bourbon sauce was incredible. The waitresses were very friendly, accommodating and attentive. Prices were reasonable. Visit and you won't be disappointed.

Crispy Duck. Delicious

I've had a home in the area for the last 13 years. I went during the last ownership and was quite disappointed. I haven't been back since. When I heard the white pine inn opened under new ownership I wanted to give it a try since I'm so close. I was not disappointed, first off the staff were more than friendly. The food was excellent. We started with the skillet Meatballs, and ravioli. Both very good. We then had the Mediterranean pasta dish and the duck. I personally had the duck and can tell you it was crispy and delicious. I can't wait for my next visit to the white pine inn.

Food was not good-tasteless. The little neck clams were uneditable. The sauce was grey. Would not recommend.

First time there, always eat in their other spot "Fairview Cafe" which never disappoints.

The Barn is a gem of a casual restaurant and bar that you need to visit! It is easily accessible…read morefrom Route 80 traveling either Eastbound or Westbound, in Rockaway, NJ. Inside, the dining area is spacious, and tastefully furnished with a nice warm fireplace in the room. The bar area has plenty of seats and TVs for sports fans. Our server Angela B. was so very pleasant, and attentive. She informed us about weekday events held at The Barn (trivia, bingo, vinyl night) and what sounded like a great Brunch Sat/Sun. We will be returning to experience some of them. We started with "Barnachos" ($18) containing a generous portion of pork (carnitas) and the usual nacho components. No pump cheese here though! Yay My wife had a lovely Greek salad ($19) with feta, grilled chicken, olives, onions, etc. I had a Meat Lovers pizza: pepperoni, sausage, cheese, sauce, peppers, onions, olives, etc ($22). The pizza was served piping hot. The portions were all generous and the food was delicious. We were too full for dessert! The menu really has something for everyone but everything on it has a special twist to it. Check out the menu at: https://thebarnkitchenandbar.com/menu/#view-page. (The attached photo shows all of the Oct/Nov/Dec special Fall/Holiday events that The Barn hosted.)

First, our waiter was rushing us taking our order, but I'm not sure why because maybe half the tables were taken and he was a bit Kurt with us. We ordered the Barnchos for the table and it was mostly just chips, barely any protein on it. Half our table of 9, the food wasn't even hot. Not all of us were done with our meals, when the waiter came back over trying to take everything away. It was if they were rushing us out & we couldn't understand why because there were so many open tables. At least they took 3 of the meals off the bill, but that being said I'd probably won't ever go back. Something is just not working right at this place and like I said before it's a shame because it's a perfect location.

I was greeted by a friendly bartender and quickly served a cold beverage. I looked around the bar at all the yummy bbq. The smells and the happy faces got me hooked so I order the ribs 1/2 rack. Wow they were juicy and tender and just the right amount of smoke, No regrets here!! I had a few cold beverages and finished up my ribs. Had some great conversations with the patrons around me and really felt at home. I'll definitely be back here!!!

Couldn't fit in my mouth. I ordered rare and it came rare BUT without drippy blood. It was cooked absolutely perfect for my palate. Super delicious, excellent excellent service - friendly and attentive. The waitress told us the meat is freshly prepared from the restaurant and I can really attest to that! I am a real burger aficionado having traveled all around the country sampling great eats and the Outposts nails it 100%. There was live music here on the Friday night with a loaded and lively crowd, we bumped into this place coming back from an ATV ride. This being on the main drag on Rt. 97 but for us in the absolute middle of nowhere. Other than going rafting or a drive up Hawks Nest this is NOW our monthly destination to get to die for burgers.
