Incredible food!!! Pizza is always super delicious and crispy. Love their party size pizza too.

Second time ordering from this place, pizza has been consistent. Thin crisp crust, good tasting sauce. Open on Mondays unlike many Wallingford spots!

We arrived early on, what I thought was off hours and ordered in person, the wait time was 4 hours. I don't live far so it was easy to come back. The dining area is tight and pretty basic, so plan on wooden bench in limited space if you are dining in. I would also recommend calling way in advance with your order. As far as pizza goes, I have had the opportunity to sample most of the high profile places and understand why this place deserves to be on the list. The crust is pretty fantastic and overall a really good pie. When we went, there was no line. The grab and go was super simple, cash only. Order ahead, plan accordingly, and enjoy.

Old fashioned decor with old pictures on the wall and well worn but sturdy wooden tables. Pizza was a 3.0. We think that it had too much sauce. We prefer a balance of sauce, cheese and crust. It had the taste of oregano, which we do not want on pizza. We prefer garlic in the taste to oregano. The price was reasonable and it was prepared in a reasonable amount of time.

We stopped in because we were starving and short on time before heading to our nearby destination…read more I had picked this place because they had the highest reviews in the area, and I even told my son that on the way in. Service was OK. I think because I tipped at the time of the order the food was brought to the table. The woman was on the phone when we got there, so we waited a little but it was ok. It was all just ok. The pizza we ordered was burnt and not the good kind of char you expect from a brick oven (and as someone who loves Pepe's, I hope I know the difference). Still, we ate it because we had already paid, and we didn't have time to go anywhere else. The salad was just okay, though I will say the ranch dressing tasted homemade, which was a nice touch. The bacon was stale The biggest downside was the cleanliness. The restaurant was dusty and dirty. There was a steady stream of people coming in and out for takeout orders the whole time we were there, which makes me wonder if our experience was just a fluke, or if the regulars simply like it that way. As we were leaving, my son turned to me and said, "Mom, I thought you picked the place with the best pizza." I laughed because he was right, this time, the reviews were wrong, for us at least. Would I order again? Probably not. But the atmosphere and steady business made me curious enough to maybe give it another shot, just with very lower expectations. And for take out.

They do advertise for combo deal's, slices, $1 wings. Angelina's is directly across the street from Hubbard Park too. I'd assume people grab and go to the park. We ordered a simple cheese pizza and a chicken cutlet sandwich. The pizza was fresh, melty cheese with tasty Italian spices and perfectly cooked crust, but wasn't anything special. There are many other pizzerias in the area so it comes down personal preference and price. The chicken cutlet sandwich was a decent size and delicious. We were happy with the portion sizes, quality, and price. Our total was about $23 and we had leftovers (this was for 2 people). We will likely order again and will think of this place if we plan to have pizza for a gathering.

On a recent Saturday I finally stopped in for their $6.50, 2 slice pizza deal that comes with a 20 ounce Coke. The pizza is New Haven style and baked in a wood fired oven, need I say more? The slices were delicious and likely the best in the immediate area so I will be returning in the not too distant future. One word of caution - be prepared to pay an additional 4% over menu prices if you choose to pay by credit card.

I ordered a large cheese pizza, and it has to be one of the best I've had in a long time. The crust was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of char, not greasy at all, and every bite was packed with flavor. You can really tell they use quality ingredients and put care into every pie they make. It's that kind of pizza where you immediately know you'll be thinking about it later. Honestly, I wish my wife and kids were here to try it with me--they would've loved it. I'm from California, and I can say I haven't had many pizzas back home that compare to this. It's that good. In fact, I ended up coming back a second time before heading home because I just couldn't pass up another chance to have it again. That alone should say everything. On top of the amazing pizza, the employees were friendly and welcoming, and you can tell it's a family-owned business that takes pride in what they do. That kind of atmosphere makes the experience even better. If you're anywhere near the area, I highly recommend stopping by Fuoco Apizza. Whether you heard about it from Barstool or not, it absolutely lives up to the hype. You won't be disappointed.
