I'm staying with some friends in Prospect Lefferts Gardens and they told me they were going to order in from Silver Rice. I'd passed the storefront on Flatbush Avenue a few times and was intrigued by the name and well-designed interior, but being from a place with abundant Japanese food, I wasn't sure what to expect. Let's just say that me and my tastebuds were very pleasantly surprised. The food at Silver Rice is stellar. To do a sushi roll well is a rare art. Silver Rice has figured it out, both dishing out the classics (Real Crab California Roll) and creative new offerings like the Mighty Seafood (tuna, salmon, yellowtail, egg omelet , scallion, flying fish roe, tempura crunch). Bravo and yum. We also got the Hijiki salad (delish) and a salmon bowl (so fresh). Will I be back? I went back tonight! read more

The food is prepared nicely and always consistent. I'm always satisfied and well taken care of. Highly recommended.

Food was great. I'm looking forward trying all of the other dishes. I had the rice cup with tuna, pickled side and black seaweed salad. It was a lot of food for me. The rice cup is more than enough. Small wasabi, ginger and soy sauce on the side. Happiness. Finally raw fish I'm now scared to eat in the hood! read more

best casual high-quality sushi spot wish they had their pre-COVID menu and the mochi though! read more

Stumbled upon this last Saturday and it was yummy! Wanted to come again for lunch but just realized during the week they're not open until 5pm. I had the sushi bowl which is really served in a cup equivalent in size to maybe a medium coffee. But it was very filling! Got the brunch special which comes with miso soup. Soup was decent. The place is small. Not a lot of seating so don't recommend for large groups. I'd definitely come again for the sushi bowl! read more

Silver Rice - Spicy salmon bowl - Sushi Bars Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Great rice bowls. Good amount of fish and other stuff in each and you can add things like avocado or spicy tuna if you want and it is all on top of some really good rice and I'm not a huge rice fan. Had a side seaweed salad and it was fresh and tasty. We ordered and it was ready to pickup in 15 minutes. Would definitely recommend this place and we will be eating their food again. read more

What a popular spot on a weeknight. The sushi is definitely of high quality and affordable. Not that many options but I think that's how they keep it affordable. I got the salmon roll and real crab California roll. Both were good but salmon was definitely better. Only thing I wouldn't recommend is I got the miso soup and it tasted like warm scented water. There was nothing really in it. But the place is definitely cute and yummy. read more

Silver Rice gave generous donation of delicious sushi cups and miso soup to doctors & nurses at Maimonides Medical Center SICU in the middle of fight against COVID 19. Thank you so much! read more

Silver Rice - Sushi Bars Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Stopped in with some friends for a quick bite. The shop is tiny, but it is cute and very clean. The menu, while small, packs a good bit of variety. We ordered a sushi roll, three rice cups and some miso soup. Everything was very reasonably priced (4 of us at for around $35). Loved the miso, which was plain, and the veggie rice cup, which was delicious and crunchy. Also the flaxseed rice is pretty killer. Would definitely recommend and plan on going back myself. read more

I've lived in this neighborhood my whole life and I must say that this is a nice addition. The staff is friendly and the food is so good. Fresh fish, and I love the rice options. I always get flax rice. The Sushi rolls are delicious and the rice cups look small but they fill you up. I wouldn't recommend trying to stay there and eat. The place is small. Get your food to go. read more

Amazing! Super fresh, pretty affordable. The small cups are a nice option if you're not starving. The bowls are pretty big. The rolls are GREAT, both the sushi rice & flaxseed versions. I appreciate that their menu isn't super vast; I think it shows that they've perfected everything they offer. This is our new fav delivery spot, for sure! read more

Silver Rice is a great place to order from through Door Dash. Their rice bowls are fresh and satisfying. I haven't ordered anything other than their rice bowls, but I have always been happy with the product. The delivery time is usually a bit faster than what door dash gives you, so thats good. read more

Sooo yummy! All the vegetarian options are amazing and the staff is always super friendly.

This is my absolute favorite place to order from in the area! The food is great and delivery is very fast! The only down side is they hardly give you any soy sauce and if you ask for more they charge for it. Also, they up charge for spicy Mayo but have left it out of my order several times in the past. But otherwise, I highly recommend Silver Rice! read more

Let me tell you, Silver Rice was actually extremely good. Great atmosphere. I definitely will tell all my friends to try their Crunchy Shallot Roll, it was simply remarkable. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. I'll definitely be back to try some other things. read more

Love this place. Great value, and amazing food. I always get the silver rice sushi cups.

Love the sushi here. Dined in a couple of times before covid, and it had a nice atmosphere. Love to get takeout when we need a quick dinner or a dinner on the road. My favorite part is the late night sushi bags!! read more

This place has deeeeeeeeeeeeeelicious sushi! I ordered the california roll and the vegan roll. OMG it was fresh and tasty. Also, it was crispy, crunchy and big pieces. I was so satisfied! And, they came super fast. THANKS! read more

We order from the Flatbush location often. Tonight we got takeout and we drive quite a distance to pick it up. They didn't bother to put any chopsticks, ginger or wasabi in the order like usual. Very annoying and now we are running to another store to buy some. read more

Just as delicious as everyone says! Probably the best sushi I've ever had. The California is super good. Fresh crab, avocado..they really pack in all the fillings and don't skimp on the ingredients. Rolls are packed with these fresh ingredients. Love how you can choose between two types of rice. Shrimp dumplings were the best. Miso brother was outstanding! Is highly recommend this place! read more

Update: They fixed their credit card minimum and POS fee, and I go here a couple times a month when I need a cheap, fresh dinner for under $15. They're quick and for the most part friendly. read more

They are fast and the sushi's taste good and fresh. This was my first time eating from them and I really liked it

Silver rice is a true gem. I ordered from the crown heights location for years, and now order from this location since I've moved. The food is consistently delicious 100% of the time. Spicy tuna cups are a must-order. Miso soup is delicious, and I recently got hooked on the udon soup. It's a little pricey for takeout, but a great price for sushi with no compromise on quality. read more

My boyfriend and I ordered take out from this restaurant. The delivery was prompt and the packaging was nicely done. For the price, I felt like the portions were quite small. We ordered the spicy tuna and unagi cups, the yellowtail roll, and miso soup. Both of the rice cups were good, they sauces were flavorful and the fish seemed fresh. The roll was good, but nothing special. The miso soup was quite disappointing. There was a distinct lack of flavor and it tasted like maybe they only did a mixture of miso paste and water and either were very light handed with the dashi or skipped it altogether. All in all, it was good, but for the price I might try a different place next time I have a craving for sushi. read more

Gotta admit I'm not a big sushi fan - mainly because I order a roll and it doesn't fill me up, I am not crazy about rice, and am anxious about fake fish / the freshness of the fish I'm eating and the sodium content of soy sauce. I also thought the name silver rice just wasn't appealing (It seemed like a golden krust knock off and not in a good way). That being said, my boyfriend brought home some sushi form Silver Rice a few nights ago and it was pretty yummy. The salmon tasted very fresh (he got a container that had 90% rice with salmon and avocado with a sauce on top, and a salmon sushi roll that wasn't filled with a million sauces and crunchy bits). The salmon roll was quite small but it satiated my hunger for a good couple of hours. There are lots of places around here that serve sushi on their menu of other items, but this place is probably the go-to spot by far for most residents since that's all they do. It also looks clean (albeit small) inside so that's another plus (star). read more

Not for me. Had the unagi rice cup and it was all rice with a couple of small pieces of fish and avocado. I mean small! No wonder the food comes out fast. The staff spoke to their friends while a line formed and there's no where to wait comfortably in this tiny space. The printed menu is also tiny and the lighting is dim. If you don't know what real fresh fish or sushi should taste like, it's fine, I guess. But not for me. read more

Small menu, but big on quality. Highly recommend the silver cup options. Fresh food and delivery is fast.

Very yummy food. The staff is not really helpful and basically just take orders and offer no input.

Silver rice consistently delivers a great meal. It's good in the winter- my go-to is the crab kale miso and either the salmon, tuna or veggie cup, but sometimes we'll throw in the crab California roll- GREAT. It's always fresh, it's always the same and it makes the dinner rotation about once a week. The flaxseed rice is a nice touch and their additions like a seaweed salad or the pickles are a perfect add in when you're feeling like you need just a little bit more flavor. read more

First time eating at silver rice despite loving in neighborhood for years. Mostly satisfied. Food was of good quality, spicy salmon tartare definitely sushi grade. I think some things are unreasonably priced. For example, the house salad is about $5 bucks with taxes butbits just lettuce that you have to cut as the pieces are huge and radishes. I'm like, ummmmmm, it cost $2.99 for a full head of lettuce and about $.30 for a radish lol. Delivery came fast, lady on phone a bit short and rude but again the food was really good, I'd order again. read more

Small business vibes, only doing takeout due to covid atm, but the customer service is great and they're fast. Took less time than they said to complete my order and everything was fresh and delicious. I had their Miso Soup and a Green Day Bowl which were amazing! Also added some spicy tuna because how much I enjoy tofu really spends on preparation and I think it theirs was pretty good, in terms of flavor . read more

Another new addition to the awesome Prospect Lefferts Gardens area. This new restaurant, Silver Rice, offers up some super tempting , delicious and fresh sushi rolls. They do offer some options for vegetarians including gluten free options. The owners are absolutely wonderful, willing and ready to help. Really really excited about this place. It is also very close to Prospect Park so after a nice run in the park, sushi is definitely the perfect way to go. read more

I have ordered from here multiple times. I always have a great experience. I have tried the regular miso soup, the crab kale miso soup, and a few of the rolls and seaweed salad. One thing I love about this place is that everything I ever get is so fresh! The soups are so good and they prices are reasonable. I personally enjoy the crab kale miso. The kale is bright green with a good chunk. The only thing is the crab kale miso soup is one of the specials I think, so you have to order it there. It doesn't appear on seamless or DoorDash. The flavor is great, no need to add anything. The staff are also very friendly. It's great for a quick bite to eat! read more

Tiny place but clean simple decor. Friendly staff. We ordered spicy tuna, the yellowtail as well as the Avocado cucumber roll with flaxseed rice (love that they have flaxseed as an healthy option to plain rice). So far, I liked that the ingredients tasted super fresh. I wish their menu had more options (like eel avocado). But totally not opposed to coming back here for the sushi bowls. read more

Silver rice is a deliciously solid sushi spot serving the PLG area. It's definitely my go-to sushi spot in the area. I recommend the rice cups as they're a filling meal and a great value but their rolls are also great! read more

Pretty good spot in the neighborhood here, glad it's here for some variety! I haven't had the sushi yet, but had one of the rice bowls (veggie) and it was superb. Opted for the flax seed rice which I recommend. The only thing about the bowl is that I wish there were more vegetables inside - they kind of throw a tiny amount of avocado and other veggies on top but there's an over abundance of rice at the bottom. Will definitely ask for more next time! I suggest getting the spicy mayo and also don't forget to get wasabi and ginger for the full experience. Not much room inside, but to be fair, it's more of a to-go place. Fresh rice and ingredients, worth the extra dough. read more

Amazing sushi!!!! at a really great and affordable price! Super friendly staff, cozy, good music! Super recommended! We even got an extra free miso soup during our visit, as it was freezing outside! Thanks so much!!! read more

Everything is so fresh and delicious! We ordered the Alaska Chirashi bowl with avocado added ( for an extra $1.50). I requested the flax seed rice. The rice is so nicely seasoned and the fish - super fresh! I would have liked a little more cucumber. It was more like a garnish than part of the bowl. We also had the spicy tuna cup and an Unagi cup. The tuna had a yummy spicy mayo and the Unagi was delicious. The first night we tried to go they were so busy that they ran out of rice. We decided to try another night since the menu is pretty much dictated by rice. Glad that we did. When we came back a few days later the woman at the cash register remembered is and thanked us for returning. That was a nice touch. Highly recommend. read more

I eat here all the time - almost always get salmon or tuna cups because they are the perfect small meal.
