First time at this restaurant and I was immediately impressed by the staff. From the hostess to our server (Kris) and as well as the supervisor! What was good was the campfire shake and appetizers (avocado toast w/ smoke salmon and the hummus). The problem I had was with the entrees. My dad ordered the blue cheese burger and they made a mistake (they made two of my order). I ordered the smokehouse burger (medium) and it came out well done. To be honest, I should of said something, but I didn't want to add any more problems for the staff. The sauce on the burger overpowered the flavor of the meat which made it less enjoyable. My mother ordered the Flat Iron Steak (which looked amazing in the pictures), but it lacked taste. Overall, 5-star service with eh food. read more

Having grown up in Philly/NJ I love a good diner. This place never fails to deliver. So 10am on a Saturday a group of three of us were in search of breakfast. For some reason this place doesn't always jump to mind, and that's a shame as the food is always good. It wasn't as crowded as we had anticipated on this nice pleasant morning in Cherry hill, and we were greeted pleasantly and seated immediately. The restaurant is large, and our table, the booth, and the restroom were clean and neat. As you can see in my first two photos, large drinks are LARGE. Pro on that is not having to ask for a dozen refills. The coffee is easily two or three normal cups in one huge mug. Tasty compared to the recycled ground shoe they pass off at my work as coffee grounds, but my guest poo-poo'd it as 'meh'. We ordered a piece of the 'World's Greatest Coffee Cake' to split. By the time I could get my iPhone into camera mode it had already been cut up, so we're lucky there aren't pictures of fingers and crumbs. It was good, with a lovely hint of coconut and nice meaty pieces of nut in it, but nothing crazy special. For $2 it's worth giving it a try. The consensus seemed to be it needed more crumbiness on top. I ordered the creamed chipped beef on wheat toast, a side of bacon, and two eggs sunny side up. The creamed chipped beef was nice and hot, very light compared to some versions that resemble drywall patch, and tasty. It was just the right amount of food to leave you satisfied and not overly full. The bacon was fried crispy and very nice. The eggs were perfectly done. My son, who would subsist on pancakes and pizza if he could (but then, wouldn't we all?) ordered the wild main blueberry pancakes. The wild maine thing to me is always a copout for 'frozen or canned' when fresh aren't available, but these were tasty and you can't argue with the portion size. My guest ordered the belgium waffles, and reported that htey were excellent. So there we are. Our waitress was great and attentive without being intrusive. We've found the servers to be hit or miss depending on how busy the pace is, but it was quiet and things were fine on this visit. With the old style jukebox in each booth, it reminded of me being a kid with my Grandmom up at the Mayfair in the great NE. read more

My husband and I go to breakfast every Sunday and we like to try a new place most of the time time. But there is one place we visit quite often.... the Silver Diner. I love this place but I especially love one dish in particular. The Bison Huevos Rancheros. Oh my gosh. Amazing! The only thing I would suggest is Avocado and Cholula. Then it's Muy Perfecto! Though time I added Del Taco Sauce. I buy the Packets directly and have them shipped to me. It was really delicious!. Ya. That's the California Girl in me. Just can't let go!. read more

This was my first time coming to this place. While I understand the dining arrangements due to the pandemic and public health and safety requirements, that did not play any part in my review. I was very impressed with the menu and it offered many flexible options for a variety of diets. The menu was balance to accommodate pretty much anyone that came to this diner. I am vegan so this was heaven for me. Staff was nice, service was great, the wait was not long to be seated, the food was EXCELLENT , and the presentation was superb. My friends and I came here on the drive home from Philadelphia, and we weren't impressed. Anytime I do go to philly I stop here on the way home and it is usually very good, but this time not so much. They were having a car show outside, so the diner was busy and we had a 5-10 minute wait. Once seated to get a hold of our waitress was so hard. It took a while for our food to come out, and anything else we would ask for took a really long time. My food tasted okay, but I ordered a side of veggies and they were drenched in butter which was disgusting, my friends really didn't like their meals either. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I've been here before and it was a lot better, so maybe they were just having an off day. read more

Oh my goodness, we ate there 2 times in one day! Their food is spectacular! Their breakfast egg sandwich special on an English muffin with bacon, was THE BEST bfast sandwich I've ever had! Did not even look at the rest of the menu for any other options. It was priced great for what you get! 2eggs cooked to order, choice of meat, and cheese. But it doesn't end there, also, fresh, local potatoes, and a juice. For dinner, I tried their bison huevos rancheros- that was the best dish on their breakfast menu. Filled with red pleather booths, and formica table tops, every seating area has a jukebox so make sure you bring quarters! This location is across the highway from the Cherry Hill Mall, and we stop here for lunch every summer after we pick up my son from sleep-away camp. The staff is always friendly, and shakes are delivered to your table in the classic glass stem, along with a second serving in the tall silver mixing cup!! :) My kids dream of this place, and I always look forward to their black and white malts! read more

Food was delicious. When we first arrived we were told it was a 20 minute wait. We didn't think that was bad for a Sunday at brunch time. It was almost exactly 20 minutes. I recently went to the silver diner the other night for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. I hadn't been there in so long I forgot how good it was! The decor in here is so cute and you feel like you're in an old fashioned diner, but instead of feeling dated- this place is clean and new. All of the food is fresh and local, but there are too many options to choose from on the menu. Recently, I had the philly steak which was pretty good and I absolutely love the fries here! Juke boxes seemed out of place given our meals, but the service was good and the food was not bad. Wow! I just had the lumberjack with a sub of the quinoa pancakes in place of the silver dollar pancakes. The entire meal was delicious. The quinoa pancakes with blueberries and grilled bananas are amazing. The service is friendly and prompt. The menu had many farm to table flexitarian options. Many vegetarian and vegan options. The inside of the diner is reminiscent of a time past. Music from the 50's and 60's plays quietly in the background. Booths have a 1955 Seeburg jukebox that plays the songs you select throughout the restaurant. Bring your quarters - each song will cost you 25 cents. Counter service offers TV. This diner is pretty decent, but nothing spectacular. My wife and I were hungry after shopping, so we gave them a shot. We were able to snag a table for the both of us even though it was busy. The place looks like a 50s throwback complete with individual jukeboxes at yout booths. Our waitress was very attentive and displayed great customer service. The menu had some diner classics from pancakes, to sandwiches, etc. Some of the items were not just your typical diner food. I decided on a grilled cheese with bacon as my lunch. Third time wasn't the charm. Went there last night, because the wait at the Friday's was an hour long at 9:15 pm. Ordered two entrees, soup and salad (I got salad, other got soup) were excellent. Entrees were OK. Yankee pot roast was overcooked and meat was fatty. Not as flavorful as last time. The turkey meatballs and pasta was decent. Meatballs good but pasta a bit overcooked too. I came here based on other Yelpers recommending the healthy brunch options.. when I arrived, I had not realized it was right next the to AMC theatre?! I had always seen the Diner, but did not expect this at all. Apparently, it is relatively new.. and I like that it did not have a long wait time (unlike Amy's Omelette House and Turning Point). We were seated right away. They have a lot of options and I had expected all to be healthy, there is only a small section of items that are the healthier options. I ordered the banana pancakes with eggs and turkey sausage and it was alright. My cousin got strawberry waffle (only 1 waffle for about $10) and upgraded to the 100% maple syrup for $1. We also shared a banana chocolate chip milkshake (not so healthy). It all was alright. I would recommend Silver Diner to those who don't want to wait to be seated for brunch. Or who may want to grab some breakfast before their matinee show at the AMC. Otherwise, I don't think the higher prices justify the quality or quantity of the food. They do have a membership program, but I forget the benefits of it besides that it is free to sign up. I also think they have coupons in the local Clipper from time to time so that may help your wallets a little bit. The service here was friendly. As a Maryland native, I use to frequent this place close to twenty years ago in Rockville, MD. But now that I live in the area I now visit this Silver Diner frequently with my family. It's a nice place to eat with the family, my son likes to play with the cardboard truck and the jukebox. The menu is modernized with different traditional diner and contemporary dishes. It's a good blend of food if you kind of want diner food but not really. You also don't get that typical feeling of claustrophobia when you visit a typical diner. read more
