Ate there on Saturday Jan 7,2023 with my son for his B-day and ordered a Tuna club and Turkey Club..........My waitress claimed it only came with French fries, but asked if i could substitute for mixed veggies. She said ok. but forget to mention our sandwich comes with a side of cole slaw..........No pickles came with sandwich. bit odd to say the least.......My first time here and i was dismayed by the small amount of turkey and tuna in in my sandwich......... These sandwiches cost $10 and $16 very pricey for the tidbit of food i was served. The vegies were one string bean one small slice of carrot and one cauliflower the size of a quarter.......Wow are you kidding me. I thought maybe their was a food shortage...... Also i was banged a automatic 22% tip on the waitresses phone and she mentioned nothing about that......I always ask for a hard copy of the bill witch she did not first present me.......Eat here at your own risk.........Def not a place that serves large portions of food for the high price they Charge.... !!!!! read more

GREAT FOOD! Tasty, fresh, something for everyone from seasonal and on-trend to comfort food made with quality ingredients. Consistently nice presentation. GF, veg options available... worth checking out if GF for homeruns like the turkey meatloaf (off the menu last I knew). 10% discount for those 65 and older, also a loyalty program that offers discounts. One star away from perfection because of higher price point and smaller portions than a "real" diner that the Silver Diner tries a bit too hard to be like. OPEN LATE check the hours! read more

Silver Diner - "Summer Cod" special (in January) has spicy heat. $18.99 seems steep. Would be happier if $15 or had more of the accompaniments. - Diners Near Me - Cherry Hill, New Jersey

Clearly marked gluten free menu and they have gluten free toast! Waitress was awesome in making sure my plate was gluten free

We pulled into the plaza to eat at Friday's, but made a last minute decision to eat here instead. I am so glad we did. My husband really enjoyed the steak, and my son liked the grilled cheese and fries. I got the a western omelet which came with home fries and a biscuit. The omelet was fantastic. The eggs were really creamy and tasted so good, and it was cooked just right (I hate it when omelets are overcooked, this was perfect). The potatoes were simple but really tasty, and I don't know how they make the biscuits but they were a little crunchy on the outside, and sweet and soft on the inside. The whole meal was just terrific. The service was good, place was clean. Definitely recommend read more

Great food. I had the smokehouse burger with shoe string fries and it didn't disappoint. Fresh/quality ingredients. Our server Elizabeth was kind and attentive, she made sure our experience was a great one. read more

Silver Diner - Diners Near Me - Cherry Hill, New Jersey

As a Maryland native, I use to frequent this place close to twenty years ago in Rockville, MD. But now that I live in the area I now visit this Silver Diner frequently with my family. It's a nice place to eat with the family, my son likes to play with the cardboard truck and the jukebox. The menu is modernized with different traditional diner and contemporary dishes. It's a good blend of food if you kind of want diner food but not really. You also don't get that typical feeling of claustrophobia when you visit a typical diner. read more

Simple, old school diner that's great for breakfast and brunch. My wife and I have been here a few times for breakfast and we were never disappointed. Fast service, delicious meals and 80/90s music make for a terrific combination. I tried the lumberjack breakfast - turkey bacon, chicken sausage, eggs and pancakes. It was a whole and hearty breakfast, rich in nutrition and flavor. They have several other options - omelets, pancakes and waffles, all of which make for great brunch options . read more

Amazing menu with excellent vegan and vegetarian options. They had both traditional NJ diner fare plus many unusual and delicious sounding dishes. Featured local and free range foods. I was favorably impressed They were very busy, maybe that's why service was not so great. Kind of slow and inattentive. read more

Short wait in the morning which is usually not a good sign. Rude staff. Overpriced food that's cooked poorly.

Edward service was exceptional!!! The food is always fresh with good portions. This is by far one of my favorite places to eat!!!

Server was nice and very friendly. Tried to sit us at 2 different tables and due to Covid we would not have been able to converse with each other, could not sit across from each other. Very pricey!!! dinner portions small. 3 Sandwiches, 3 dinners and pancakes cost over $100. It wouldn't have been that bad if the portions were larger! First and last time going. read more

Outdated and staff was un attentive. And most importantly, the food (breakfast) wasn't good at all.

I come here regularly and have enjoyed most of my meals here a great deal. I don't recommend the coffee though - at least not the hot coffee. That wasn't up to my NJ Diner standards lol But the other food I've had here was great! Especially their burgers and salads. Yum read more

What a disappointing breakfast- this was my late father's fave place when it first opened some 20+ years ago, so when my siblings from the West come to town we inevitably go to "Daddy's favorite place"- it was HIS spot to meet for family breakfasts. Today's family breakfast required a table for 9. Greeted by sticky/ greasy menus placed on a poorly cleaned table my discomfort grew as we were served very sporadically...too warm milkshakes, cold food, came in spurts with gaps so long that half the table was finished before the other half got their food- I was given a complimentary "free entree " card by the apologetic manager (surprisingly because I never complained). I will give this card away- no way do I want to go back- that's how bad the food & service has been the last few times we've gone- if I were to suggest another visit to my husband he'd emphatically say NO THANKS! I miss this place because my father loved it so much- but not enough to face the frustration of the last 4 visits in the last as many years. Management - put a larger staff on duty on Sunday mornings!! Clean the menus!! Hire some capable experienced cooks & servers!! read more

Silver Diner - Yeah...there's no more Veggie Chili - Diners Near Me - Cherry Hill, New Jersey

I must say the experience, food and hospitality from Edward was 5 star. Thank you for a great breakfast experience! Happy holidays!

If you are looking for a greasy spoon, cheap, diner, this is not your place. The Silver Diner is a healthy diner/restaurant with a lot of vegan and vegetarian options. I've been several times and my personal favorite is the quinoa pancakes. The coffee is usually hot and the service is good. While the price is more expensive than usual diners, the quality of food is worth it. Occasionally the service is slow but no real complaints except I wish they had more diner dessert options. Would I come back? Yes, it's a great Healthy restaurant. read more

I've heard a lot about the Silver Diner from coworkers so I decided to check it out and bring my boyfriend along. From the outside it looks like a traditional Jersey diner but then you get inside and flip through the menu. It's a pretty neat concept. It's like diner food, but modern and healthy. My boyfriend ordered a bacon cheeseburger and said it wasn't bad. He really loved the fries, though. I went with fish tacos, I believe. I don't really recall the flavor to be honest as I was not wow-ed. I guess it was an overall okay experience. We probably wouldn't make this a top contender when going for dinner as we would our local diner but maybe if we're in a pinch we'll stop in and try some more items on the menu. read more

Had high hopes for this place on the reviews but was rather disappointed! Service was awesome! We got here at 11:30 on a sunday for a table for 2 and were seated within 10 mins. The food came out quickly as well. Avocado toast with eggs: took one bite and did not like it at all Veggie huevo rancheros: not bad. Plenty of veggies. I wouldn't be craving for it but I would eat it if other people in the group want to come here. Sweet potato fries: not good. Tasted very bland. Burger with cheese fries: decent. Yoghurt parfait: ok. I think it's hard to mess up a yoghurt parfait. Those and 2 coffees came out to be over $70, not including tips. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the place. Food was bad-average while being rather pricey. People who work there were great though! read more

This place is so bad. Even though the food pics looked like Denny's, it has 4 stars so we decided to give it a try. 2 lumberjack specials, one person added biscuits to their order. Our server asked if he wanted biscuits and the pancakes it comes with; my brother said yes. Breakfast came out with all biscuits and no pancakes. Our server never came back again until he was ready to clear our plates so we couldn't get this rectified before we were ready to leave. Never came back to refill drinks. Half of the potatoes were completely raw in the middle. Like slightly browned on the outside but not cooked AT ALL inside. I got a southwest turkey sandwich and it reminded me of those pre made sandwiches you can buy at the airport. Overall, this meal was disgusting and also not cheap. I will not be returning. read more

After a recent visit to the Garden State Discovery Museum I got excited to try this place. They have a replica diner of this place. When passing it I decided to pop in! The first thing we noticed was the 3-4 bright red signs that said "bakery on premises". I'm jumping ahead of my thoughts on the food, but we were disappointed to find out that they did NOT have a bakery section or bakery on premises. That was very misleading and caused me to knock down a star off the Yelp review. To the food: I ordered the tomato- mozzarella sandwich. It was great!! I was a little shocked to find lettuce on my sandwich as the description of the sandwich did not include lettuce. I ordered a side salad with a side of lemon and my salad came out with dressing. I was slightly annoyed, but they fixed the issue right away. My fiancée ordered the lamb burger and sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were out of this world delicious and the lamb burger was good too. My fiancée also had the crab- corn chowder which was good too. We will be back, just not for the bakery lol. read more

Unfortunate I have to write this review. Started off with ants on the table. The entire place was freezing. Took more than 10 minutes to get water. After placing out order and waiting to be served we all of a sudden looked out the window to see our sever walking back into the establishment from outside, swinging her purse. She then promptly came back in and got back to service in an amount of time that no person could reasonably wash their hands. 2 of 4 meals came out cold and 1 with the improper ingredients. Blah -- not going back. read more

I'm sitting here with a half eaten plate of food with no desire to finish it. It was my third time here. I keep wanting to give it another chance. Third strike today though. This place tries too hard to be a foodie version of a diner. I am a foodie and I like diners. This does neither well. Lunch was always disappointing and more expensive than the value we got. Today we did breakfast. It is a diner. A diner must get breakfast right. It is the essential thing. One of my eggs came out with just the yolk (nearly no egg white). My sons eggs came out cold and severely undercooked. My husbands bacon was burnt more than any bacon I've ever seen. My chicken sausage was literally the worst sausage I've ever had in my life. Terrible flavor, tough, dry, and lukewarm at best. My husband didn't believe me when I said it was was the worst sausage - thought I was exaggerating. I gave him a piece and his eyes got big - also the worst sausage he had ever had. My daughter spit it out it was so bad. The shining star of the meal was our server. She was sweet, saw some of the obvious issues with the bacon, the egg, and the fact my order was plated with potatoes instead of grits. She did her best to make it right without us asking. She gets the star in this review. The diner itself needs to spend more time getting the basics right. In the least, a diner should be able to get eggs, bacon, and sausage in good form, and these weren't even edible. read more

Super clean, greeted at the door, friendly staff, huge menu options. Reasonable price ranges with lots of selection even in just beverages. I try and eat healthy and avoid fried foods. I've ordered the brussel sprouts/lentil with roasted red peppers entree several times and enjoyed it. Last week I ordered it to go and watched them put the brussel sprouts in the deep fryer in oil just like the french fries. I was ordering this entree cause I thought it was healthy. I always thought brussel sprouts were roasted in the oven. Live and learn. Maybe I should have asked how they were prepared first, but will definitely not order this entree again. The manager sent me a reply and told me that I could request the brussel sprouts be roasted and they would accomodate me. I was very impressed with his explanation and appreciate his response. read more

SAVE YOUR MONEY! Do NOT go here. Not one single thing we ordered was tasteful or right . Meatless tacos tasted like ground dirt and metal; fried shrimp batter was beyond salty; fries seamed as if they sat for 30min before serving, they were cold.; Burger was absolutely tasteless your better off going to McDonald's. Omelette was just horrible. Only thing that was worst then the food was the service, everyone was rude from the host to the waitress. Last the filth on the floor and the bathrooms left us speechless... completely dirty. read more

We love it here! Not your typical diner fare - lots of healthy and vegetarian options!

Posting this in the hopes of reaching a resolution: Over a year ago we ordered takeout through their website and after paying they called us to tell us they didn't have what we had ordered so we asked that they cancel. They cancelled it but said they needed to talk to the manager who wasn't there in order to issue a refund. The next time we followed up they said we had to submit a request for the refund (for an order they never made and we cancelled minutes after placing...) through a long form on their website, which we did a couple of times and never got any confirmation or heard back on. After many conversations about this, during which they usually say they need to talk to the manager who isn't in that day or talk to a regional manager because managers can't issue refunds, we still have no refund and they are now acting like the whole thing never happened and instead sent us a voucher for use in the restaurant that's not even worth the amount of money they stole. This is all despite the fact that there's a paper trail over email about everything. It's pretty ridiculous and we used to really like them/would have ordered or eaten there many times in the last year if not for this happening so it doesn't seem like it can be worth it on their end. read more

I've come to the Silver Diner a lot of times since it opened up in this location... and today was just horrible. Don't know if I would come back... My family and I were going to meet other family members at SD for a nice Sunday brunch to celebrate my dad's birthday. I decided to call in a few hours ahead of time to let them know that I would have a party of 7 coming in with the need for a baby booster. I only called in as a courtesy so they wouldn't be caught off guard having to put together a larger table last minute during a busy time. When we showed up, they said that they didn't know of anyone calling in for that size of a party. When I asked them what happened to the person that I spoke to when I called in, they asked me if I called the correct Silver Diner... Our waitress came over and we had to ask for the booster(again, I had asked for previously ahead of time). She then took our drinks and when she brought them back, she half haphazardly placed them on the table nowhere near the person that ordered them. Additionally, every cup of coffee had coffee streaming down the side... so sloppy.. how does that make the guest feel welcome? and they were only 2/3rds full. She then started taking our orders... my mom ordered a burger, the waitress went to the next person. My mom had to get her attention and ask if she could have her burger prepared medium well. The waitress gave her a "look" and then moved to the next person. My mom wanted to ask for a specific kind of cheese... but she never had the chance. The rest of the visit went like that... no care at all from the waitress. We even had to ask her what her name was because she didn't introduce herself. Her name, as we learned, is Sadie. Our food came out and I didn't even bother asking if anyone liked their food because of the crappy unwelcoming attitude Sadie was giving us. I ordered a Rueben that was hardly edible... why? because the sandwich had been sitting under the hot lamp for so long, the bread on the bottom was so soggy, I couldn't even eat it as a sandwich. Additionally, my fries were overdone. At the end of the meal, we tipped less than $10 on a $100 check... and I don't even think Sadie deserved that. She was probably one of the worst waitresses I've had in a long time. So all in all, crappy service and crappy food... the only good thing worth mentioning is that I was there with my family and, at the end of the day, I guess that's all that matters. Such a shame... this place used to be so friendly. FYI... I saw the general manager walking around asking how each table was doing... except ours. That's another nice way to make the guest feel unwelcome. Nice. read more

Every time I come here whether it's dine-in or take-out there is always an issue with my order... On the bright-side they have a 110% guarantee where if you aren't satisfied you get a complimentary entree for your next visit. While this is a nice consolation I would much prefer having my meal done correctly especially when I take out, since I usually don't get it rectified immediately. With that said I'll review this take out visit. I will say their offerings are great and their healthy options (pretty much everything) are fresh and tasty. The girls were in the mood for some breakfast and since I had finally tasted their fish tacos earlier this week. I opted for that grilled (On an earlier takeout order a few months ago they forgot the entire fish taco entree). The fish tacos also come with a salad with strawberries and a great dressing. Anyway one of the girls ordered a kid's French toast the other Pancakes. Both came with one egg, a side of strawberries, and a drink. Both got their eggs sunny side up. But what's breakfast without a bacon... So I ordered two sides of bacon. So I go to pick up the food, previously they had curbside pick up, but apparently that's stopped so I went inside. They are always very polite and courteous, a plus in my book. Was told everything was in the bag, and proceeded home. Get home... No bacon! Am I driving back for bacon when the rest of the meals would get cold. Nope, but I call.. It was like pulling teeth to get an apology! (Which is not the norm) With that out of the way, we proceed to each, the girls didn't much enjoy the breakfast, obviously no bacon, but hot chocolate always makes them happy. I enjoyed my fish tacos, the flavors are good, I added hot sauce for some heat. Silver Diner has fresh food with great taste, they just really need to get the orders together, it's pretty frustrating, so much so that I can't say if I didn't keep getting the complimentary entrees that is continue to go back. read more
