I was at your Cherry Hill location on January 24 at approximately 12:30 PM, and unfortunately, the service I received was extremely disappointing. The waitress assigned to me was largely inattentive and appeared more focused on conversing with a gentleman who was following her around wearing a hat and coat than on attending to customers. I was repeatedly ignored while this interaction continued, which made for a very uncomfortable and unprofessional dining experience. I later called and spoke with a manager named Kelly, who explained that the gentleman was in training. While I understand the need for training new staff, this does not excuse the lack of customer service or awareness shown during my visit. Training should never interfere with a customer receiving proper attention and basic service. As a new establishment, I would expect a higher standard of professionalism and customer care. This experience reflected poorly on your commitment to customer service, and I hope it is addressed so future guests do not have a similar experience. Also, I had the Seafood Grits and a honey butter biscuit, the food was not very well seasoned and cold. However the biscuit was okay. I will never go to this restaurant again. A group of about 15 of my family members showed up for our reservation at Sunrise Social today and we're a bit chaotic when we're together: lovely, but chaotic. So, it was extremely notable that our main waitress, Kelly, was extremely gracious and patient. We had so many food and drink orders flying around that even I was feeling bad for the staff, but they handled it so well and were so kind throughout the meal, even checking back regularly to make sure we needed anything. All portions here are huge and depending on how much you normally eat, could easily be at least two meals. I ordered the chicken and waffles and the two cousins next to me were quick to share :) it was very good and everything looked photo worthy. Prices were reasonable for the size (around $20-$26) a plate. After the meal, we were all over the place taking photos and staff were kind enough to take photos for (and with) us. This place has great French toast. They have a vanilla sauce for it that I absolutely love. They also have delicious chicken and waffles. Whenever I brunch here, my guests always really enjoy their food. The staff are always pleasant. The only bummer is that they used to have AMAZING cinnamon roll French toast but they stopped making it. For a good six months I would go every weekend just to have this dish. I came here for brunch with my sister on a Saturday. It was not crowded at all so we were seated immediately. Service was a bit slow for it to not have been busy. Seemed like our server was also working behind the bar. I ordered a mimosa and had to return it for a new one because my glass had lipstick stains. My sister substituted the waffles for French toast and chicken. The chicken was fried hard so good but just a bit more seasoning would be better. I was not a fan of the SGG grits. There didn't seem to be enough gravy on the grits and it was at the bottom of the dish and the grits were thicker than I would've liked them to not have enough gravy. The lamb chops looked very appealing when they arrived at the table, but once I tasted them, they were extremely under-seasoned and lacked flavor. The same issue carried over to the chicken, which was also very bland. The biggest disappointment was the fish, which unfortunately was undercooked. While that was frustrating, I will say that our waitress was very pleasant and professional. She noticed the issue and offered to replace the dish, which I appreciated, although I declined the replacement. Her effort to make things right did not go unnoticed. One highlight of the visit was the mimosa tower--it was actually very good and probably the most enjoyable part of the experience. Went looking for a brunch place today that was nearby and I heard about this restaurant. I figured it was time to stop by and see they could cure my brunch needs. The location wasn't hard to find and there were plenty of parking spots available at 11:00 am. My party of 3 was greeted and sat at a booth. The decor was nice and music wasn't too loud. We were off to a great start. For drinks we ordered strawberry lemonade and for entrees we had the chicken ana waffles, SGG (with gravy on the side), and Build Your Own Omelette (cheese only). The establishment wasn't crowded at all, so the wait time for our food was maybe 15/20 mins. The food was all room temperature, which was a little strange. The prices of the entrees were on the higher end (averaging $20+) , thus you would expect to have hot to warm food. The butter on my granny's waffle didn't melt at all, which is an indication of a cold waffle. The grits in the SGG were room temperature and they barely covered the bottom of my bowl. Additionally, the lump crab meat was sparse. The fish and shrimp were good. My partner liked his cheese omelette, but also stated it was room temperature. So, our overall consensus is the food was decent, but could have been better if it were warm. That's an easy fix, so hopefully, the restaurant is willing to make that change. read more

The Quesadilla my son got was delicious (hence the 2 stars). The Strawberry Shortcake French toast I ordered was not great. There was (maybe) 1 full strawberry, the filling tasted super fake, the bread was dry & this one came out as lukewarm. PRICE; The menu was EXPENSIVE. Most items were $20+. Not worth it. STAFF: The Staff here was super nice, they were kind and friendly. They were slow though, especially to greet and seat you. CLEANLINESS; This would be negative stars. The place was clean, the music playlist was perfect, and all of the customers seemed to be enjoying themselves. I ordered the S.G.G. (Seafood gumbo and grits) and Smoked Short Rib Hash to go. The food arrived on an electric server -which was very cool. I thought the robot programmed to come to the table with the food was a cool feature. The S.G.G. was perfect. The fish was crispy and the shrimp and gumbo all blended well with the grits. It was very flavorful. I definitely would recommend this from the menu. The Smoked Short Rib Hash was very tender, but it was slightly salty-a little too salty for me. I wouldn't order that again. One disappointing thing was that my server, Brianne, never came back to check on the table, no refills on the water, and I had to have another server get her to bring the bill. She said that she forgot about me because she doesn't typically work that side of the restaurant. Not sure I would have told a patron that, but I did offer a suggestion that she pay more attention to her customer service skills. I did pay it . When I got there at one, the rest of my family was already in the vestibule. You can go to Sabrina's Cafe and pay less for a similar dish, that will have a better presentation. Service: Once we ordered our food it took more than 20 minutes before we received it. Now, you would expect that when you are relatively busy, however, me and my wife were the only two people inside at this time being served. So a 20 minute ticket and you are the only two there is beyond my understanding. We should have definitely received our food within a shorter time window. Food: the food was ok, i have had better. You would have thought that they would have had berries in between the French toast for the amount we paid, but they didn't, just on top. Pretty dry in my opinion. Same with the chicken and waffles, you would have thought there would have been some kind of filler between the two waffles to make this plate pop, but it wasn't. The waffles were kinda dry. Not sure if you can tell from the photo but this was the type of dirt and grime that tells me the counter has not been cleaned for days. She came to check up on us a multitude of times to ensure everything was going well. The parking lot is small however, the establishment itself is nice and clean. Now unfortunately I had to give a three star rating for the food. To be honest this may have been the worst breakfast I've ever had and I tried the safest thing on the menu which was the eggs, bacon, potatoes. The food was barely hot and was below basic diner food. And I've had great food from diners for half the price. Now my friend and I both agreed that the pancakes and French toast were good. But not good enough to return to unfortunately. The food was amazing, I had the Seafood Gumbo bowl filled with crab meat, medium shrimp and deliciously fried whiting fish (2pieces). Babe asked if we could just sit at the bar and was told we're just waiting to clear the sitting in the back. Meantime I went to the restroom....napkins that are used while eating was placed in the paper towel dispenser. When I came out I noticed that we were seated at the bar. As I started to look around after ordering I noticed that the place was dirty. The end of the bar had stuff all over you would think someone would clean up since we were sitting there but that didn't happen. The area where the soda machine was disgusting babe said we can leave if you want but we had already placed our food order. Since we were at the bar we were able to see the kitchen and the food being prepared. Everyone wore gloves but why a few of them only had one on confused me. Food came out and the portions were decent but the food had no flavor. I ordered chicken n waffles and I couldn't eat it. The chicken had no season and the waffles were dry and tasteless. My husband's family is from MD and Old Bay is for crabs. I wish they would emphasize on the menu that signature MAC includes old bay. The two flavors just don't mix, and in my opinion, it was extremely salty. My dining partner ordered the fried lobster and grits and said it was very good. My other friend ordered a side of the Mac and cheese also and agreed with my assessment. Austin was our server and service was a little slow, but faster than the 1st time. There was a straw that fell in the floor a few tables over, and the hostess not wait staff picked it up the entire 2 hours we were there. Third time here and each time the place has gone down a notch. My husband and I went on a Friday around 11:30 and the place only had a few patrons. We waited a few moments for the hostess to lethargically walk to help us. We were seated and given menus. To our surprise menu prices had gone up substantially. The brunchaholic has gone from $18.99 to $22.99 since the summer. Bit much for breakfast even with eggs being so high. We waited about twelve minutes for our server to come to the table. Basically, the staff hangs around in the rear of the restaurant playing with their cellphones. No one is really working here. We ordered everything when she came because we didn't know when we would see her again. My husband informed her that we had no silverware because we didn't want to wait for that too. She brought the waters but no silverware. After promoting her a second time we got silverware. Another fifteen minutes and our food arrived. The bacon wasn't drained and quite oily. The breakfast potatoes were basically dinner potatoes with onions. French toast was okay. Portions were good but definitely not worth the price. I went to the restroom and wouldn't you know it, no toilet paper. Luckily, I had some Kleenex in my purse. Bathrooms hadn't been checked all morning because no one had signed the hourly bathroom check schedule. Who's managing this place? Won't be spending another penny here. But then, no one came over to greet, or give us water, or even acknowledge us for almost 20 mins. There was an issue with my order, and so I had to send it back. My replacement plate came out about 10 mins later, but the 3rd person still didn't get her 1st plate. Our server Precious was nice, but she never came over to check on us once our food came to the table. So I asked the hostess if she could find our server, or see about the 3rd order. There were 2 young ladies at the host stand and they both went back to the kitchen and then returned to the stand without saying a word to us. So I asked what happened and they said "someone" was coming to the table. About a minute later a young lady named Celeste shows up and asks us what the issue is. We tell her that one of us still hasn't received food, and without asking what the food was she immediately says "your server should've told you that we were out of the lamb chops". We were floored. She then promises to get her a replacement entree on the house, or heavily discounted. I spoke up to say how horribly this was handled it needs to be on the house. The 2nd plate arrived quickly brought over by Celeste herself with apologies and she tells us it is on the house and that she was going to have the rest of the bill discounted also. Once we receive the bill there's no discount and so I spoke with her again. She gives pushback initially saying we misunderstood but then she speaks with "the manager " and they give us 10% off the bill. Everyone did eventually enjoy the food mostly. Breakfast potatoes were bland French toast cobbler was good-just wayyy too much for one person Jerk salmon cheesesteak was tasty but didn't really taste jerk seasoning, just pepper The hush puppies weren't good, but the fries, fish, shrimp, and chicken were all fried nicely and seasoned well on the Lunchaholic Music skipped on every song while we sat there waiting for our "drinks" and food I will give them one more try as they have only been open a couple months in Cherry Hill and maybe they're still working out the kinks. The only concern I had was we couldn't figure out how to make reservations and we were concerned that there may be a long wait. They do not sell liquor, only champagne for mimosas. I got a mocktail calles the strawberry shortcake, which was recommended by our waiter. It was really good. My sister ordered the Brunchaholic and I ordered the S.G.G (Seafood Gumbo Grits). The flavor was there, fish fried to perfection, but the grits were SUPER WATERY. I love Shrimp + Grits and for me grits are supposed to be a little thick. These grits were so runny and watery. No thickness whatsoever. Also, I hate when restaurants leave the tail on shrimp. One of my biggest pet peeves. Anywho, I also tasted my sisters pancakes and they were some of the best pancakes Ive ever had. Cant forget to mention how long it took to receive our food. After placing the order it took over 30 mins for the food to arrive. There were only plastic utensils, which I don't mind except they need to be a little stronger for cutting steak, waffles etc... PROS: The leftovers taste even better at home. The drinks are good. My son LOVED his cotton candy mocktail. The food is tasty. I needed much more salt on my grits. For $22, I needed much more crab meat and at least 4 shrimp, not 3. The temperature could've been better, BUT OVERALL, I'll return on an empty stomach, ready to enjoy. I'd read the comments from others, so I wasn't expecting perfection, but I'll say everything overall was more than fine, more than acceptable and more than delicious. If I can give zero stars, I would. I made a 11 o'clock reservation and was seated immediately. However, I put in my order and the food came 50 minutes later. I ordered French toast at $20 for 2 pieces and sausage at $4 for 2 pieces. My food arrived cold and the toast was burnt. I would never return or recommend this restaurant to anybody. read more
