Cheesesteaks have a special place in my heart due to being raised in a pizza shop as a kid.(Family business). With that said let's get into this. The cheesesteak is okay. That is it. Nothing special. For almost $17 a steak I want it to be meaty, cheesey and the roll not to be stale. I ordered 4 cheesesteaks for $76 . Ordered a steak with fried onions and they forgot the onions on it along with the Bleu cheese I order for the buffalo steak. Their buffalo sauce is a bit sweet which threw me off but I did like that they chopped the chicken breast up well. This is not a walk in spot. You go up to the first window and they take your order ,then give your order at the second window. They should put a bell at the order window so the workers know people are outside. The gentleman at the window was nice but every time the windows opened and closed it didn't smell like steak and onions as much as it smelled like weed. Would I go back, no. The best cheesesteak in the area is still Goldbergers in Haddonfield, NJ. Always try restaurants for yourself. Maybe your experience will be better. read more

Revisited to try the viral strawberry hot honey chicken cheesesteak. It wasn't my cup of tea. It started out surprisingly good, it seemed like it was balanced. However, after the 3rd or 4th bite, the honey just lingered on the palate, and was way too sweet. Maybe too much honey was added to mine, because I could see how if it had less honey, it might've been pretty good. But I'm not willing to try again --it's a one and done for me. read more

The cheesesteak is very well seasoned. I like the seeded roll, but a tad too thin. There's so much meat that the bread doesn't seem like it can hold it all. The strawberry hot wings were delicious. Different Cheesesteak #1224. I got a cheesesteak with fried onions. I selected a seeded roll. I took my cheesesteak to Eclipse Brewing. I got the Haazy at Eclipse Brewing. Eclipse Brewing is a fun little spot. Bonus bathroom video at end of the review. You can see in the pictures that this is a very good cheesesteak. However, it was a little cumbersome to eat. The meat is a little thicker slice. It gives a good meat flavor but you have to really bite into it. Great amount of cheese and cheese melt. Good amount of onions but they got a little lost. Nice roll. I think it needs to be scooped. With all of that, it is a very good cheesesteak and Eclipse Brewing is a very good place to eat it. read more

A friend suggested this place when I came home for a visit. Let me frame this correctly. I live in a city where getting a cheesesteak is a journey and we don't have a lot of options. I am from South Jersey so I know what one should look and taste like. I gave this spot a try. Easy ordering process and I caught them at a good time where it wasn't as crowded as I was told it would be. You get a buzzer to let you know your oder is ready! One of my pet peeves is how Coke is taking over the world when it comes to beverages. Nothing wrong with a Pepsi to was that cheeseteak down. The steak was decent, good seeded roll, cooper sharp and onions. The meat was a bit chewy and stringy in sections but I over came this. The fries were not my cup. They were those fries that tast like they are battered or fried extra hard. To me a cheesesteak goes well with simple wrinkle cut fries with a bit of salt on them. The three of us ordered an OG, a Cheessteak, and 8 strawberry hot honey wings. Fast friendly service. You are given a beeper, so you can stay in your car until the food is ready (both because of a township regulation and because it's more comfortable). We liked the Cheessteak the best (not pictured because we inhaled it) as it turns out we are not big Cheese Whiz fans. We all liked the wings despite them not being as strawberry-forward as we had hoped. The meat was tender and succulent. Good quality meat on the cheesesteaks and the seeded bread roll was A-1 my guy. This is a takeaway spot, so be prepared to eat your food in the car, at home, or on the black iron bench by the pickup window with the flies. Something in my soul says that there's something wrong with me for paying $42 for two cheesesteaks... But what was handed to me was worth every dollar!! You can't call in an order and when they force you to use their website they charge an additional $2.00 fee. They also ignored the request for less cheese on one of them since I'd heard they over did it. They were both the same. Also requested they not cut them. Unfortunately they cut all 3. Good roll. Great cheesy flavor with Cooper Sharp, could have used a bit more cheese for all the meat. The meat was good, but way too much (but we just took some off and probably have enough for a whole second meal tomorrow). Takeout only (order and pickup outside at the window) but the roll was fresh and strudy enough to make it across the bridge and back into Philly to eat it at home.
