Embers is located inside of the Doubletree in Cherry Hill. It was convenient because I didn't feel like driving but the food was not good. The staff was friendly and my food came out quickly. However, the pasta sauce tasted straight from a jar and was greasy. The chicken that I added was seasoned well but chopped so small it was had to find within the pasta. I think I should have ordered something safe like a salad or a burger. If I'm back at this hotel and don't feel like driving, I would probably go back. Other than that I would not.

There's two dining areas that can be chosen with one having a bar that can seat 10+ people. Started with a couple of great drinks and their french onion soup. The soup was topped with a cheese layer and pieces of crostinis within the soup. Great for a snowy day. The california chicken wrap was a big meal especially with the flaky french fries on the side. The sandwich needed more chipotle mayo on the side which was great for the fries. My medium rare wagyu burger with the bacon jam was HUGE! The jam did taste like beef jerky which was a new experience. We will definitely be back to try some of their other menu items.

We didn't realize that the restaurant was a part of a country club until we arrived (no where in the reviews did it mention this) but we've done brunch at other country clubs throughout Jersey and it was wonderful. Upon entering the restaurant we saw their only brunch option was for a brunch buffet and from our quick scans of the buffet walking to the hostess stand we all decided we would not be doing brunch (pastries looked like they were from Coscto, warm food looked as though it had been sitting there for a while and the omelettes coming from the omelette station didn't look spectacular so we opted to do their lunch menu instead. Service was SSSLLLLLOOOOOWWWWW! From the very beginning until the very end. It took about 15 minutes before our server arrived to greet us, then another 15 for our first round of cocktails to come out, the about a half an hour for us to be told that they were out of 1 of the 3 appetizers we ordered ... so no lie, after being there a full hour we finally received 2 of the 3 appetizers and were then just able to order a second round of cocktails and our main courses. The cocktails weren't the greatest either. We thought perhaps the first round was our fault because we all tried their "blackberry espresso martini" and we knew it was a risk from the beginning ... so we ordered "safer" cocktails for round 2 and the prosecco based cocktails were even worse than the blackberry espresso martinis smh. I truly don't understand how one messes up prosecco + a splash of limoncello and cranberry (that was what was supposed to be in the cocktail) but they certainly messed it up, to the point where I didn't drink it. Our entrees finally arrived and WOMP WOMP WOMP! Overall every single one was MID at best ... and all I had was French onion soup and a wedge salad .... like how is it possible for those to be BLAH? Food was so MEH we didn't even take pics lol. Needless to say we all agreed we wouldn't be back and wished we had decided on what was our 2nd option for brunch instead.

And they couldn't seat us in the outdoor patio that we requested. But once we sat down, we were pleasantly surprised. Almost everything on the menu looked interesting. Everything we tried was really good. The service was excellent. And the live music was good too. And unlike many places, they cooked our steak to the temp we asked for. Surprisingly it wasn't busy on a Saturday night so figured I would share a review. Hopefully they start to pick up.

It was also Mother's Day brunch which I believe may have played a role in the overall experience too given the number of tables they were turning over, but with serving just a buffet and being what seemed like properly staffed I expected better. The food - horrible! I mean the warming dishes weren't even ignited and for the ones that weren't empty, the remaining scraps of food were overcooked, cold and beyond bland. Honestly better tasting food at a Chinese buffet. The "raw bar" was the best thing available - and that's only because they had nice sized shrimp but were out of whatever items were also supposed to be a part of it. My Bloody Mary was atrocious! Tomato juice and tobacco was basically what it was. Our server John was really nice and energetic and doing the best he could - everything he could control was controlled so he deserves more than the 2 stars this review is receiving. Oh and the best part, this was $75 per person and not including a single mimosa. But they did give all the women a single stem rose when the check was requested tho lol.

We love trying new brews, and the P3 Hefe from Phase Three Brewing was a standout. Finding a good hefeweizen on a menu isn't always easy, so this was a real treat. We spent a beautiful day on their dog friendly outdoor patio, which is welcoming to leashed and friendly pups. She was so kind! The appetizer and entree we wanted was out of stock, but she gave us a couple recommendations instead which was helpful. We ordered a couple of drinks, the brussel sprouts, potstickers, a smash burger, and ahi tuna poke tacos. The vibe of the place was a casual bar/restaurant setting, but a good amount of seating and very clean. They played great music, cool decor, and good amount of tvs to watch sports. First, the brussel sprouts were incredible. They were perfectly crisped and seasoned and also came with a sriracha aioli was delicious. The potstickers were also SO good. I was shocked how much flavor everything had, not to mention the presentation of all our food was beautiful. Never thought I'd be saying that given it's a super casual bar restaurant vibe. The poke tacos and burger were the topic of conversation the rest of our visit because we couldn't believe how blown away we were. We already want to come back! Dying to try the crab rangoon rolls and she crab soup. We will most definitely be back. I wish I took pictures of everything.
