I have no idea why people likes this place. I have never had such a horrible experience. This was my first time going here and my last. I got a pedicure and the guy did everything backwards. He scratched me so hard during the leg massage i have multiple cuts down my legs and feet. The polish looks like a 3rd grader did it. He made mistakes and didn't fix it with a brush and acetone. The top coat is all over my skin and has already started pealing off my toe nails. The atmosphere was the opposite of relaxing. No soothing music like at my normal salon. At the end he waited for me to tip him which I obviously did not. I go to a nail salon and pay people to make my nails look good. I find it completely unacceptable that I have to fix my nails myself because the moron has no idea what he is doing. read more

I have been a client for over 2 years now but today I was so horribly disappointed. I was there for a simple pedicure and during my session the lady left me without saying anything and helped other clients. Then when she came back she applied the first coat on my nails and then removed me from my chair and placed me at the drying station. I had no idea what was happening. The manager came over after and told me there was an appointment that needed the chair. So rude! Then the lady painted my toes on a stool. While I was waiting for my toe nails to dry I noticed that she didn't even paint my big nail completely. the nail technician (she works at first table) gave me painful treatment on my nails and cuticles, after a day I still feel the pain, plus she was very rude , and she overcharged! it was a horrible experience I had ever done in my life! Spa Day! My friend brought me here for pedicure. When we entered the spa, it was busy; however, we were quickly seated in a pedicure chair. Kelly did my pedicure. She was AMAZING! Okay so I've been coming here once or twice a month for 9 years. Heather (owner) is the only one that I allow to do my nails. I make appointments and I am always on time. Within the last year, I have noticed a change in customer service. She is either overbooked or she attempts to take every walk in, which results in rushing with her appointments or waiting even though you have an appointment. I have had to wait up to an hour, even though I had an appointment. During my last visit I could see that she had slightly overbooked herself. I waited about 15 minutes, which wasn't horrible. About 20 minutes before she was finished, someone else came in who also had an appointment with her. Just as she was finishing up, the woman came up and asked her how much longer would the wait be. Heather replied kind of frantically that she was finished. Before I could reach down to put my sandals back on (had my toe polish changed as well), she says, "hurry up and move over there" (pointing to the seat at the next booth). Another girl getting her nails done overheard her as well, and her facial expression was like "wow". I told heather that I was just trying to put my shoes on geesh. I felt humiliated by her treatment. She made me feel as though my money wasn't as good as others. She has never rushed anyone else when she was late for my appointments. That wasn't the first time that she had been rude towards me, but this time was the last straw. I do hate that I have to leave because I love when Marilyn does my brows. I also had two tips pop off during the first 4 days after my fill, which just added to my frustration with the shop. I can't give my money to people who are rude towards me, and eager to please other lady's that walk in. read more

She does beautiful work and always makes sure I get out the door without scuffing my toes. My 14 yo daughter & I came here this afternoon to get our nails done. I made it very clear we were both getting an ACRYLIC SET & was quoted $20 each so we both sat down & they did our nails. My nails were completed a few minutes before my daughters & I was sitting at the dry station in the middle of the salon when my daughter walked over to me & said her nails were done. So I went to pay for our nails & was told it was $55 as the guy put gel polish on my daughter's nails & that's why they were already dry. I responded that I MADE IT VERY CLEAR when I arrived that we were both getting acrylic sets, no gel for $20 each (I even said NO GEL) so $40 total & the owner replied, they could remove them & redo them which I am obviously not waiting for them to do as I have another appointment in 20 minutes so that was not an option. I paid the $55 & let them know they manipulated a 14yo minor putting gel polish on her nails and thinking Mommy would "just pay for it." Common sense.... why am I the mother going to get a $20 set myself & spend nearly double so my daughter could get gel, doesn't make sense. So I advised I will not be returning to their salon ever!!! BEWARE OF DISHONEST BEHAVIOR & MANIPULATION. Additionally, I was not impressed with my nails at all & the clear coat is already bubbling & it's only been 20 minutes. read more

I have been going here for approx 2 years. They are reasonably priced. Heather is super fast and she is very considerate when it comes to time. Silky nails really cares about their clients. I recently went in with a very sore ingrown toenail. I had no time to do a pedicure, just needed help with my toe. She looked at both of my big toes, sat me down and took care of bth right there on the spot. No charge. Did someone have to wait a few minutes while she took care of me? Yes but this wonderful lady relieved my pain instantly and I don't think anyone minded waiting a moment while she did so. Some reviewers say that they run late and I think this is because they want to accommodate everyone - so someone schedules a pedicure and decides to add a manicure and they do their best to fit them in. They also have to staff taking into consideration no-shows which must be a fair percentage of their business. I, too, have had the pedicure experience from one gentleman who was very rough and not cognizant of the edge of the file. After two separate experiences with him, I specified I did not want him again. I have not seen him lately, not sure if he is still there. On to the good stuff..... I come here solely for Marlin. She does a great job and speaks great English which I like. She always makes sure the shape and smoothness of my nails are to my liking which is nice because most manicurist get annoyed when you point out something you want them to fix but Marlin is very receptive to criticism..buy I rarely point anything out because she always does them to perfection! My daughter and I love this place. They do such a great job on mani/pedis and waxing eyebrows! Eyebrows are only $7---we had been paying $25 downtown. All of the ladies (and Danny) are so nice and after a couple visits, they remembered us and would greet us so nicely. When having a mani/pedi at the same time, the price is only $28---can't beat that, especially since they are so well done. The decor is just ok--have been to much better and also to some not as good. Great nail salon in Folsom. I've tried a few since moving here less than a year ago (from Sacramento) and they are the ONLY nail salon (out of at least 5) I've been to that doesn't try to upsell you or charge $24 or so for a typical pedicure. In Sac, I used to pay $17 at a place near Scott's Seafood and it was great. Seems the cheapest I've found is Silky's. Marilyn is great, if she's not booked. read more

I found this place after realizing that the place I've gone to before was closed for the day. I parked and could see that the lights were still on so I started towards the door and I realized just as I opened the door that the hours stated they closed at 7:00 and it was 7:15. I cautiously stepped in and was greeted by a woman doing nails at the nearest station. I asked if they were still open and she said yes and asked what I needed. There were 5 employees who all had other customers, but they were still willing to let me in after hours and I was impressed. I waited in one of the massage chairs until someone was available and I had a good pedicure. I did not feel at all like it was rushed due to the late hour. I was the last one to leave, but never felt like I inconvenienced them. Good service will assure my future business. Also the tv on the wall to catch the game was a good thing too! read more

I've been going to Silky Nails for the past 3 years and had my manicure and pedicure in mid September 2016. While I was having a casual conversation with my manicurist,Marilyn; out of no where, Heather (the owner) tabbed my shoulder and made an extremely inappropriate comment to me. I didn't know how to take her, so I ignored her. I am shocked, confused and disappointed about her unethical remark. Don't really understand her real intentions, but I can be sure that it was not friendly or cordial. I should not be surprised that she did that to me because she constantly made malice remarks about her customers in her Vietnamese language. I really like Marilyn, but I don't know what else Heather would do or say to me next time. There are many other mail shops around Folsom, so I have gone to a different one since September and they were super nice. I am a customer and should not have to endure Heather's ridicules, inappropriate and unprofessional comments. Heather, I want to thank you for being your evil self, so I know not to spend my money there. It doesn't matter what type of plastic surgeries you and your sister had (breast augmentation, nose job and your double eye lids), they did not enhance both of your looks because beauty comes from the inside, not through your obvious cheap plastic surgeries from Viet Nam. Both Heather and Marilyn do a fantastic job, and they are very efficient when it comes to time. A special treat is to try their Spa Pedicure.
