Our employees here are like vultures. They take advantage of elderly. They pretty much forced them to get more business by doing face wax when you don't need it or can't afford it. Couple of the employees insist on paying their tips in cash. Makes me not even want to tip them. I do not recommend these people to no one. They're not helpful at all. First time her. I didn't have an appointment and was told it'd be 30 min. No problem. Ran a quick area and came back 30 minutes later and was helped right away. I thought the place was much newer because it was immaculate which I appreciate greatly. But they have been there 20 years! There are two ladies a couple seats over getting a pedicure that were very loud in conversation which took away from the relaxation of the massage chair and the experience but that is no fault of the salon. Nail rescue! I stopped in after another salon turned my St Patrick Nail into a pot leaf instead of shamrock. They were able to fix it immediately and i was in and out of there to continue my shenanigans! I've been going back for a fill and pedicure ever since. After scrubbing my feet ,cutting my toe nails and seeing the last bits of my last pedicure which was a gel pedi.. over 10 weeks ago I decided to go get a regular nail polish pedicure'.. getting in the chair the lady proceeded to start with polish remover for these last bits of polish and I told her it was gel.. she then got a drill and filed off the polish .. WHILE doing so she informed me that would be an additional 5$ .. I should have left then but I didn't.. I let her continue until she had filed my toe nails and trimmed my cuticles .. she barely tapped the bottom of my feet with the pumice stone, unbelievable!!! I informed her I no longer wanted polish.. the pedicure was to be 28$ with the 5 $ extra' to my surprise again !!! Credit card was charged 35$ I didn't ask .. Really a shame...I have been coming here for a very long time, consistently given large tips and the last few months have been absolutely terrible and today I'm done. I overlooked my bad manicures and never made a fuss, but today really made me mad. I made an appointment yesterday and I show up and they are taking walk ins over my appointment. I usually do gel but my friend convinced me to try a full set. it was a very good decision indeed! Everyone is so friendly here, I felt very welcomed and warm. The store is very clean. The service is good, the staff is friendly. The issue is with the actual skill of the technician. I got a dip powder manicure. I asked for a pointed shape but my nails were all over the place. Their nail shaping skill is really bad. After the dip powder went on, they barely fixed the shape and my nails have random bumps of product. They didn't clean off my skin with acetone so there's some left over polish on my cuticle. This was $40 and honestly I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

I visited Fingertips Nail Salon about a month and a half ago with my mother. Our experience was pretty good. All the ladies were very friendly and my pedicure looked very nice. When we arrived at the salon, I think it was 20 minutes or so from their closing time, but they still graciously accepted our business. At the time, all of the ladies were working with other customers, but one started running water in the pedicure chairs, so we were able to sit down and relax. We waited a few minutes and played with the massage chairs until the ladies were free. My pedicure was very effective. My pedicurist gave me a nice massage, cut my nails, and got rid of a good amount of dead skin. She also took a stab (pun intended) at my ingrown toenail. Although it was a little painful, she was able to fix it up pretty well, and I haven't had any trouble with it since. The pedicure looked very nice and smooth, and it has still barely chipped a month and a half later. The only issue I had, was that I developed an infection in another toe. It pussed out a little bit every day for the next week or so. The location was very nice and had at least 5 manicure tables and 5 pedicure chairs. It also had plenty of colors to choose from, although I brought my own. Also, the prices seemed to be on par with most other manicure/pedicure places in Folsom. Being a guy I have never set foot into a nail salon but after 3 years of constant insults from my girlfriend on how nasty my fingers looked I decided to give it a try and I am glad I did! I thought it would be awkward but it was a very good experience. I got a manicure followed by a hot towel rub and a relaxing arm and hand massage. It was a good way to wind down on a lazy Sunday. Last time I got a a full set from Kevin my nails were the best I've ever seen them so this review does not count his work because he does a wonderful job and takes his time. There's one woman in particular and I can't remember her name but her area is right behind the front desk, avoid or ask for someone else if you can! She was coughing the whole time and ALWAYS cuts my nails too short when I ask to leave them long... On top of that, my nails are always uneven, glue in on my hands and fingers and nail polish is always on my fingers too. Never does my cuticles or cares for my nails. While watching her she just does everything super carelessly and sloppy. Now they decide to charge you extra for doing a mail shape?! (I chose a round nail shape, apparently that costs extra now). I was kind every-time (even left a small tip because I feel bad but never again!) If you genuinely care about getting what you pay for avoid this place (unless you make an appointment with Kevin). ALSO, the lotion they use on your hands, DONT DO IT unless you want to wash your hands 8 different times with 3 different soaps to scrub off the awful smell.. You can't beat that. Was in the area and badly needed to get my nails done before the week started so I found Fingertips through Yelp, gave them a call and was able to walk in with nothing more than a 5 minute wait! During that time, I was able to choose a gel color from their wide range and infinite choices. As I looked around, I noticed the place looked really new and clean. I asked if they had just opened and it turns out, they recently turned over new management. I've gone to quite a few different nail salons searching for a good spot to be my regular spot. If Fingertips was closer to home, it would definitely be it! I usually don't write reviews for nail salons unless they really impress and Fingertips impressed me with quality of service. Jenny did my nails and she is the sweetest and cutest manicurist ever! She's so gentle and careful. You can tell she really cares about customer satisfaction. I challenge you to find a strip mall in Folsom that lacks a nail salon. It's impossible because nails salons are the most scenic attraction in Folsom, after the outlet mall and prison. Despite their infinite numbers though, I thought that I never would find a good inexpensive nail salon in Folsom. Thankfully someone was kind enough to point me to Fingertips Nail Salon. Although humble in size and decor, the salon was busy. The technician worked fast and gave me a nearly flawless French manicure. She had a sweet demeanor. I didn't like that she filed my nails from side to side. But the arm/hand massage was so good that I nearly swooned. And it only cost $15 (a basic manicure costs $10). I was about to walk out then I saw my manicurist getting the water ready and I felt bad. Customer Service - 0. The lady was texting while giving me a manicure. She would then point down indicating that I need to put my elbow down. Like you would point down at a dog. She created an extremely hostile environment instead of an enjoyable experience. You are dealing with people not cattle. The nail job - 2 stars. One nail is sloppy. She didn't get the extra polish around the nails all the way off. I also had to ask her to clean under the fingernails. She moved me to the next table after she was done in a rude way. I asked for a fan--she turns it to blow on my face. I tell her to bring it over so that I can dry my nails asap and get the hell out of there.The bowl she used to soak my nail was tiny. My husband and I went in to the salon today, I say be ware, the worst pedicure/manicure I have ever had. They were not wearing mask when we walked in and did not put them on until I asked them about it, we did not feel it was a sanitized facility. I thought they were suppose to wear gloves but did not. The heels of my feet are exactly the same as when I went in, they are better when I do my own at home. ( they did COLOR on mt feet and did not put the clear on my hands.) This is the place next to the pharmacy behind an auto supply store. Their prices are good, $15 for acrylic fills plus $5 french style. All the ladies I've encountered there are super nice and polite. I typically go in the early morning or late evenings and have never waited. I've gone there several time and typically the quality of their work is good. I gave them two stars because the last time I went and got acrylic fill two days later my nails started chipping and coming off.
