Do not go there!!! Do not recommend!!! Ok, I have never written a review for pedicure/manicure service before (although I have had a lot of pedicures/manicures done with many nail shops in Folsom); however, I feel a need to say something this time. I would never go back to this nail shop and would never suggest anyone to go there. We couldn't make an appointment with my regular nail shop for 3 pedicures today at last minute, and the Gelicious Nails has open for 3 pedicures at 2:30pm today, so we decided to give it a try. 1) Issue started the minute we showed up there. We got there on time (maybe 5' early) and were told that they could only do two and the 3rd person would have to wait because they short on people (There were only 2 nail techs available. The other nail tech was still working on the other customer). We said, we could wait for a bit so all 3 of us can go at same time. After a little bit of back and forth talking, they said they could do all three and told us to sit in the chairs. We sat in the chairs and they started working on my niece's and my daughter's feet while I had to wait for another of 20'-25'. By the time they started working on my nails, they were almost done with my daughter (we got there around 2:25pm, waited for a bit and then sat in the pedicure chairs probably 2:35pm or so, and they were done with my daughter's pedicures before 3pm (less than 30' total). 2). My mistake (and I regretted) is that I didn't ask about the price prior to the service. I have done many many pedicures in Folsom, and I believe you can get a decent pedicures (non-gel) around $35. They asked if we are doing gel or non-gel and we explicitly stated non-gel multiple times. And they charged us $50 per person for a work that was no where matching that price. I don't complain about the price if it is worth it but it was no where close. 3) For my teenage daughter, they did her toes nails for less than 30' (This includes all the chitchatting, answering the phones. There was not so much to cut or trim or file with her (still baby) toes nails. They didn't offer much massages either, and they got all that done in less than 30'). 4) For my niece (early 20's), the person did her pedicures is like an older lady. She didn't seem to want to put any effort in the work. She did a very simple pedicures: not much massage, no sugar scrub, no paraffin or hot stone or anything. It was definitely a type of basic pedicures you can get in almost any shop. She didn't massage with lotion. My niece had to ask her to do it and she didn't look happy with the ask. Another $50 for a less than 40' pedicures with nothing special. You feel no pampered at all. 5) For my pedicures, they probably spent more time (relatively) among all three but still less than 40' with nothing special, just basic (i.e. no scrubbing, no paraffin, no hot stone and the massage she gave me was not even good - feel more like they were feeling my feet rather than massaging). When time for the bill, I asked the lady who gave me the bill (also the one who worked on my toes nails) if $150 for 3 pedicures was the right amount. She first said gel was more expensive and when I reminded her we didn't do gel, she replied she charged us the non-gel price (I feel something suspicious there). I don't think these people do business with honesty..... Anyway, they didn't gain a new customer today. In fact they may lose some potential customers who might see this review. I would not recommend this shop even if I have no where else to go.

Went with a very neutral color. By Joann.

I'll be moving to Sacramento in about a year so I decided to go ahead and look for a good gel place. It seems I never find a good place other than ones in LA. However, for a place first starting out and opened for only two years, it does a good job. Cute set up and I love that the spa chairs are in a separate room. Joann did a good job. She's spunky and you gotta be spunky with her. I would not let that scare you off as some of the reviews seem to suggest. Lol. Strong business woman with values. She will be my go-to for gels when I am in town. I couldn't find a neutral but she found a perfect shade. However, I do constructively suggest a little more attention to detail to shape, slower work, and how the paint sets (follows the curve of your cuticle without flooding out of your nail bed). I am particular to how my clear gel sets, without touching my cuticles. Just a few minor tweaks and this place is gonna thrive even more! I love supporting new business in town. The older gentlemen that did my toes was very meticulous. He paid attention to blemishes on my nails and fixed them without me asking. I like someone who takes their time. Was super kind. Amazing massage. Total was only 45. This was great for me because that's the price I am looking at and how it should be. Gels should never cost more than 25-27. 30 is tipping the scale and you're being ripped off. This is coming from a LA raised, daughter of a nail tech type of girl! Tipped ten each. I also believe in tipping well. Please, ladies, don't come into a salon tipping two bucks! Will be coming here again.

So, heard about this place through a friend. I was lamenting to her that I saw tons of cute ideas for nails online but am told repeatedly by other places they can't do what I want. She showed me her nails and they were fantastic. So the first time I went, showed them several pictures of winter designs and wished if have thought to take a picture, but did a great winter scene on my nails, snowman, very intricate snowflake, presents, etc. With valentines around the corner, looked for several ones that I liked. This time I got the gentleman instead of one of the girls. Still did a good job and looked like the images I gave him. Definitely worth the price and the hour dive to get here from lodi to get the designs I want.

She tweeted my skin instead of my brows and made me BLEED

I went here on recommendation of a friend of mine and the service was okay (gel manicure, pedicure and eyebrow wax). I went back a second time and it was HORRIBLE. The pedicure was fine but she had to remove the gel nail polish and it was a bit of a painful experience as she used the acetone but also used the nail file and got down almost to the nail bed (it was so thin and painful). I literally had the paint chip off the NEXT DAY. That's not even the worst part - she did my eyebrows and literally was using the tweezers to tweeze my SKIN! Actually pierced the skin and when I got back to the car and looked, both sides of my face were BLEEDING by the eyes from where she was plucking! I'll def never be back.

Joann did a great job on my nails she is such a great nail technician

I highly recommend this place for everyone if you want to get your nails done and feet done. Joann does a great job and I have known her sense I was in middle school and she did my nails for years in the past . The nail salon is very clean and all the staff are super nice And there's so many great choices to pick from. Highly also recommend get an appt even though she does take walk ins. I will definitely be coming back to Joann for now on.

The first time was a 5 star experience. Beautiful nails, basically what I asked for, and they lasted longer than two weeks.

I've been here twice. The first time was a 5 star experience. Beautiful nails, basically what I asked for, and they lasted longer than two weeks. My toenails made it for over a month, even after I trimmed them. The first time, I showed a picture of what I wanted for my engagement photo session. The woman convinced me to get red instead of black, which I don't regret but may have changed if I had the opportunity to do it again. My toenails were painted with a gel polish that lasted forever and I absolutely loved it. The second time, the experience was great again! Everyone was friendly and talking with us. It was a great time! However, my fingernails (I had a gel manicure again) chipped after only a few days. I've never experienced that before with a gel manicure. It was extremely disappointing and I'm not sure why it happened, but I'd give 2 stars for that.

:( I hope it's matte. $60 is worth it? Or nah!!

I hate giving bad reviews!! But based on my experience!! They like I don't have money to pay.. And they rushed me to pay! My $60 but anyway I like the nails shop great vibes really fashionable.. However I request lilac matte and then she didn't put matte on top. :(( I like it how she did my nails style but its better if she did what I wanted. :(

Joann is amazing!!!

I live in Santa Monica, and was in town and really needed a mani/pedi, but am very picky. After researching over 20 spots all around Sac reading reviews, and looking at pictures I am so glad I chose to come here. Everyone was friendly, and Joann made me laugh the entire time. She is amazing! I LOVE my nails. 3D talent is hard to find anywhere, especially in Sac, and she is truly gifted. I definitely will be stopping by here every time I visit Sacramento. Thank you again for everything

The shop is super quaint! 4 pedicure stations, 4 nail stations and I believe 3 ladies work there. JoAnn, the owner, is well known for her nail art and it shows in all the work she's done. See for yourself on her public instagram: joann7374! The prices are comparable to other nail shops in Folsom and the store is CLEAN. For me, I do my research with shops cause you can get all sorts of infections especially with pedicures. I've gotten a gel-mani and pedicure here once and brought my mom and sister a few days later. For the pedicure, I saw them change their circle filter thing with each new client. Kudos! They use disposable filers and foot buffers. They have this metal tool and with each customer they change the buffer. it sticks to the tool and is removable. I love this because they can sterilize the tool and dispose of the portion for each new customer! I hate going to a nail shop and the nail techs pull tools out of pencil containers and you never really know when or if it's clean. I called ahead of time on Sunday and Joann told me to come in at 4:30. They close at 5 so I felt kinda hesitant but decided to come at 4:15 just in case. It was a full house! I waited quite a bit of time to finally be seen by Van, but I patiently waited and they kept apologizing for the wait. So I didn't wait in vain! I finally started my gel mani and pedi closer to 5. Not once did I feel like the process was rushed as it was Sunday and they close early. They didn't lock the doors and turn off their lights. In fact, I saw 2 people come in after 5 and they were helped! Not sure if they had appointments but to say the least this shop is accommodating and I appreciate it! I have not had any services with Joann but apparently she has a cult following for her work! Van painted a snowflake on my sister and I was super impressed! Try the shop out! Call ahead and make an appointment if you're interested in Joann's nail art. They said Tuesday and Wednesday nights are ideal times to come in. Sidenote: I saw 2 older males getting their pedicure on and they looked pretty content! Everyone is welcome here!

First time having my nails done in a salon. I wanted a salon that could do builder Gel. I read…read moregreat reviews on this salon and owner Mimi. I had builder gel on that needed to be removed. Mimi was super proficient and definitely skilled in her craft. She removed the old gel with ease and completed a new look with my requested design like a pro! Very impressive with her work and love the vibe of the salon and her cheerful personality! I will definitely return and refer others here!!

I stopped in today around 6:00 PM (arrived at 5:50) for a manicure and pedicure and specifically…read morerequested Michael because I've been here before and he has always been kind, friendly, and consistently provides an excellent experience. Michael did my pedicure and, as expected, he was wonderful. He greeted me, asked what services I wanted, and I showed him my inspiration photos. Unfortunately, once it was decided that Katie would be doing my full set, the experience immediately went downhill. From the moment Michael told her she would be doing the full set, it was obvious she was annoyed and irritated. As a paying customer, that alone was uncomfortable, but it only got worse. I understand and speak Vietnamese, and without realizing it, Katie complained the entire time in Vietnamese saying she didn't want to do the full set, that she wouldn't be able to leave by 7 PM, and that she had plans to go to Tahoe. She was huffing, puffing, sighing loudly, and clearly rushing. Her body language, tone, and attitude were extremely unprofessional and made the entire service uncomfortable. Complaining about a customer in another language, especially when you don't know who understands it, is completely inappropriate. I chose to stay quiet and keep things professional rather than cause a scene. While I do like the style of my nails, the quality of the work itself is poor. The photos show clear flaws such as bubbles in the polish, uneven and sloppy tops, and my left thumb is noticeably tilted to the right. The set looks rushed and careless, which matches the attitude displayed during the service. The total came to $128, and although I'm normally a generous tipper, I tipped $20 specifically for Michael because he earned it. As I was leaving, I overheard Katie comment in Vietnamese about the $20 tip, which was honestly shocking and disrespectful. Katie, I truly hope you work on your professionalism. No customer should feel rushed, judged, or talked about during a service they're paying for. Once I left, the lights were immediately shut off, reinforcing how rushed the entire experience felt. I won't be returning and do not recommend booking with Katie.
