Two other landscape maintenance services decided because of tree roots were they unable to handle the job. I phoned and learned we were both going to away that coming weekend. They bid the lowest of 3 bids, and that was our mistake to go with them…read more Rich and his team of 3 were over their heads and admitted they were unable to complete the work, essentially blaming me for not having the tree trimmed sooner. About 1/3 of the redwood tree was trimmed before they gave up and the shoots at the base were not completely cut back. There is a large hole where too much was cut. He had excuses for everything. Rich became very defensive when we asked him to lower the price since they were unable to complete the work in his estimate. After much discussion he agreed to $200 off of the $2,400 bill. His workers left saws strewn about and trash in the yard overnight, and left the trash when they were done. Rich was insulting and very difficult.
