They also cut the oaks completely back from hanging over our roof, and ground multiple stumps we had around our yard. Assessed the situation and told me my options for tree removal, just a cut down or cut down + trunk removal. I opted for the latter. His price came in lower than someone else I had come and give me a quote, which I was surprised. My smallish pine tree (15 - 20 ft tall) was cut, stump removed, and cleaned up in 2.5 hours. Leo double checked if I wanted the hole to be left open where the stump was removed or cover it back up with dirt before they finished the project. I tried to cut down a tall maple tree on the border of a property myself. It was near houses and a…read morepower line ran straight through it, so I couldn't just fell it down. At first, it looked like I could do it. The bottom branches went down easily to a pole saw. Then I had to start climbing ladders, and then onto roofs to reach more branches. Holding a long pole saw overhead while maintaining balance on a roof is dangerous and tiring. On the third day it was time to cut the super high branches. The only way we could do it was with a Arborist sling slot, and alot of rope rigging and a rope saw. It was a headache and the equipment seemed expensive. Thankfully Willy's Tree service drove by and saw us struggling and took pity on us. We negotiated a fair price based on the work we had already done, and what we were quoted from other arborists (which was so high that it lead us to try it on our own originally). He said he would be back in two hours, but actually ended up late. I'm not going to dock any points for this because I knew we were a side job after his main job, and it was spontaneously scheduled. After his other job was over, he came over with his crew, a bucket truck, and a wood chipper that eats 12 inch logs like potato chips. And the entire job was done in the time that it would have taken me to cut 1 branch. At the end of the day, as his crew drove away, I was thankful that they came in and helped at a very fair price. So lesson learned. Save yourself the headache of expensive equipment, dangerous risk to life and limb, and call in a professional like Willy's Tree Service.

I spoke with a few different contractors and received three quotes. Two were in a similar range, including Julian's; the third was much more expensive. I chose Julian because the business seemed well managed, and the results did not disappoint. Noe was the person I worked with. He was on time, easy to communicate with, and prompt in replying. He was knowledgeable about his work and quickly identified what needed to be done in each area of the yard as we walked around my yards. On the day of the job, eight crew members arrived right on time: four climbers and four ground crew members. While a few did not speak much English, others did, so communication was never a problem. They worked hard for about eight hours and completed the job by the end of the day. Noe stopped by shortly after noon to make sure the work was meeting my expectations. When I mentioned a few additional items I wanted addressed - such as clearing more of the brush in the backyard - he quickly spoke with the crew and had them taken care of. The entire team was easy to communicate with and clearly knew what they were doing. For example, one of the trees had branches hanging over the power line leading into my house. They trimmed it just enough to clear the line and leave a beautiful canopy without overdoing it. I was impressed. They also did a thorough cleanup afterward.
