Don't use!! We've used them as our service provider for heating. Woke up to a massive flood and water shooting out of our unit at 5am ( I suspect they didn't inspect or fix it appropriately during our annual maintenance). Called at 5am and got the call center. They took all my info but got no response. Had to figure out how to shut down the water and unit myself while cold water was spraying everywhere. Called back again at 8am and got call center again. They said they sent the message and tech got the page at 5am when I originally called. Yet no call back from the tech or anyone! Had to call back again at 9am. This time got the office. The woman on the other end couldn't have cared less that my basement was flooded, I had no heat or water, that we're regular customers and that no one called back. She said the tech was on vacation! So why have a calling service if you're not going staff it appropriately or care to respond? Frankly if the tech called me back and said he was on vacation I would have been fine with that so I could have moved on to another emergency service sooner. Filed a complaint with the Better Business Business after Sigma-installed fittings leaked, leaving us without AC cooling for 2 months of the summer. Company didn't return multiple calls about problem. Unreasonable and inappropriate delays to respond, troubleshoot, or repair the fitting malfunction. Moved on to a well-managed, properly-staffed company with high standards for honesty, experience, quality, and follow-through. read more

I had two companies come to my house to look over my 3year old air conditioning unit that was not working both companies said they would return the next day and neither ever showed up. I really was not hopeful when Sigma showed up but Jeremy was professional and more than helpful. He came back twice to completely resolve the problem. Horrible customer service. Some service manager actually hung up on me. Wrote letter to owner but never heard from him. This after I paid them $160 to come out and diagnose the problem. I waited three weeks for service, kept getting dates when parts would be in. I finally got tired and called another company - work done three days later and less expensive. Don't use them.......even if you're desperate! My 90 year old mother used Sigma for 13 years and thought she was receiving great care. Unfortunately, this was not the case. She requested a new thermostat, as the current one wasn't working. They came and reprogrammed the existing one and claimed it was fixed. It didn't work and the next day, that had to come out again and replace the unit........which we asked for in the 1st place. They charged her 2 service fees, which she appealed via phone calls, certified mail, etc. They would not respond after numerous attempts. We were able to get her money back filing a claim with the bank, which is not a simple process for approval....but it was granted legally. In the meantime, we hired a different company to clean our air-conditioning units, formerly done by Sigma for years. According to the new company, they indicated they were never cleaned properly in past services, based on their condition. They said they were filthy and reflected poor workmanship. After she was granted her money back through the credit company, Sigma sent her a nasty letter saying she was removed from their customer list and will no longer service her. The worst ever! Don't use them! You can find a better company! read more

Great company. They are professional, show up on time, and do the work quickly and efficiently. Service manager Patty took the time to speak with me about the problem I was having without any pressure or locking down an appointment. They took the TIME to try and understand the problem BEFORE I was a customer. That is rare. Saved me quite a bit of money over what another contractor said I needed. (He was wrong). I now have a go to contractor for my AC & heating needs. read more

I will say first off I use to work for them when they first opened up. I was there service manager. It just didn't work out. I can say one thing the owner always pushed customer service and fair prices. He would not put up with rude workers. I can not see this guy not caring and when I was there there was no min 1 hour charge above the diagnostic fee. The diagnostic fee is the same that I set 7 years ago. The following occurred when I requested a boiler quote and signed the contract: 1. Ron came by and evaluated the system. 2. We received a quote from Ron for a Bosch system. 3. Signed quote and dropped off deposit on July 25th. 4. Inquired a few times about scheduling. 5. Finally on August 1st spoke with John. I was told that Ron was no longer with the company, his quote was incorrect with the price and system, you don't sell Bosch systems, and you are in the mist of restructuring. In addition, I was told I would receive information for a new system that day or the next. 6. Crickets 7. On Monday I contacted John. Apparently no system can be installed for the contracted price! Also, was told we had an oil system which we do not. Was also told the owner would come evaluate the system. 8. More crickets. No one has come by to correct Ron's error. You still have my deposit and signed contract. 9. I just want to get this resolved and have a boiler installed. Can someone take initiative in this??? 10. Spoke to front office, basically told that Sigma would not honor contract, would not come out and evaluate the system for a new quote. 11. The kicker was that I was actually told that Sigma always comes in higher than other contractors. This was the worst!! They didn't do right by the customer. Although polite, they were not willing to do what needed to be done. Needless to say, this was a bad experience. I would not recommend, ever. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They sent me the most ridiculous quote with hidden costs that they added on to all the parts and equipment. Other quotes I received for the same parts and services were almost half of their quote. They are shady to say the least. Also, I called and they were discourteous and insulting on the phone. read more

I had Sigma complete some work for me in January 2016 and everything was fine immediately after. It was expensive but the repair was a good temporary solution and worth the cost. About a year later my boiler started acting up and I requested a quote for a replacement gas fired combi boiler. The quote was sent after a couple emails and it came in very high which I expected given the current market conditions in the industry (I also work in the industry). The quote was also lump sum, called for replacing my CO detector, did not define controls scope, and contained a few other inaccuracies. I replied requesting these items be changed, a revised quote, and more detail if possible - never heard back. I tried contacting the rep again and again... I haven't heard back. They'd probably be fine if they responded and agreed to do the work but I'm not happy at all with Sigma's customer service...finding another contractor that responds. read more

Horrible experience. The sales guy Rich promises the moon and then shrugs his shoulders with a big smile on his face when the job falls apart. Where to begin - we were getting central AC installed. The job was supposed to take 4 or 5 days. They were a no-show for the first install date (Rich 'wrote it in his book wrong') and then when they finally came, it was a disorganized mess. A) they took 12 days to complete a 4 day job; there was excuse after excuse as to why half the crew didn't show up each day. B) different install guys each day, so nobody knew what the guy before him had or hadn't done C) they used bulky plastic (ugly) vents to cut corners, and D) they installed the vents in the ceilings in haphazard spots versus centering them to the room or the windows to create any sense of aesthetics or symmetry. We voiced our opinions many times to both the overseer of the project, Rich, and the install guys, wrote several emails with our frustrations - we even contacted the owner who just referred us back to Rich. No apologies, no discussions, nothing. The experience was so horrible that I was having nightmares, and literally began having to leave the house when Rich came over to inspect the horrible job. The only positive thing I can say is that the install guys were nice, and often cleaned up the mess before they left each day. read more

Sigma has serviced the old AC on our Summer home a few times, and this year is installing a new, updated system. They are very professional, call back in a timely manner, follow through with exactly what they say they will do (and when they said it would be done), and are very conscientious on the job. Richard Bernard was able to work with my schedule to replace the unit before we had company arriving. They gave me a written proposal for work to be done, along with information about the new unit, and asked for a reasonable deposit up front. I highly recommend Sigma Mechanical Services! read more

20 months ago, Sigma installed a full Carrier unit for the house and a split Mitsubishi unit for the in-law suite over the garage. The Mitsubishi unit lost its coolant over the winter. Service call tech diagnosed it as an incorrect installation of a fitting at the external unit. I called the office to book the appointment for repair expecting to have to discuss who was going to pay for this. Did not need to - the service manager said if they did not install right, then they are responsible to fix it. And they did it this morning. Now, that is a company that stands behind its product and reputation. read more

We recently had a Mitsubishi ductless system installed in our home & we just love it. The system cools our entire downstairs and it's so quiet. For us it was a geat alternative to the expense of central air. Sigma's entire staff especially Scott were so knowledgeable and professional. Sigma installed central AC in our house this spring. The entire process was handled in a professional manner from the sales (Rich) through the installation and testing. The install crew could not have been friendlier or more professional. They even cleaned up after each installation process and left the house as clean if not cleaner when they were done.
