I requested a quote on a dedicated 240v outlet install in our garage for an EV charging station (go future!) Dennis was able to reply same day and make his way out for a quote on Monday. On Tuesday, I authorized the quote and he arrived within two hours and finished the install inside of three hours. The work is clean, up to code and reasonably priced. Bought an old house that needed a new panel and additional circuits added to the second floor back in late 2017. Dennis came by to take a look, gave me a quote and we scheduled him almost right away. He and his helper were always on time, clean, and worked efficiently. If an issue came up, they made sure I was aware of what it was, how it can be corrected, and confirmed with me prior to proceeding. There were a few hiccups toward the end, but Dennis ensured that they were addressed before the job was finished. He is very knowledgeable and professional, and I am satisfied with the work done. Very disappointed in the way I was treated. I had asked for a quote to put a generator in my apt. I had asked to be called 10 minutes before the app. bec I would be down the street. Another electrician had come to install my smart switch (3 way with dimmer), but was not able to do it and claimed I needed to draw a new neutral wire, which would mean making holes in the wall and snaking it through. So glad I went to Yelp to find an electrician. Found all the good reviews to be helpful. Needed someone to put an outside outlet in front of our house. I called and Dennis was easy to contact. They replaced a chandelier in our 2 story entryway and one in our dining room. Upon inspection of the old chandelier they realized it was not safely hung and suggested adding an extra support piece. I liked Dennis a lot but I honestly think I just caught him on a bad day. I had 3 small projects around my condo (ceiling fan repair, insert a recessed light and repair countertop GFCI outlets not working) and he was able to solve only 1/2 of one issue for me. I say 1/2 because I had a ceiling fan that appeared to be loose in its fitting that I just wanted to be resecured so it wouldn't fall. He took it down and tried to repair the housing, but ultimately, after a while of tinkering, hung it back up and it ended up crashing to the floor, snapping the arms and marking up my hardwood floor. It's not like this was a 20 year old ceiling fan (condo is relatively new construction 10 yrs old) so maybe it wasn't installed properly by the builder but there was never an offer by Dennis to split or eat the cost of a new fan with me, instead it was just blamed on the existing "old crappy one". He ultimately installed a new fan, that I had to purchase, and did a good job putting that up. Having said that, when it came time to pay, he changed his quote on me that he originally gave over the phone for the job, citing "more work than expected" even though he was the one that broke my old ceiling fan which I never anticipated happening either. He wasn't able to determine why some of my countertop electrical outlets were not working. Again, this is a fairly new building so I don't know why this couldn't be resolved but it seemed to add to his frustration of everything. Lastly, I wanted to insert one single recessed light in my kitchen to fill a dark area. He said it would be easy given the other nearby lights and existing recessed lights all over the kitchen and living area but that my lights were halogen and they don't make them anymore. So in order to match the color of the lights, I decided, why not let's get all new ones (10) and improve the overall color of the lighting and hopefully reduce my electricity usage. Turns out he bought the wrong type of light replacements which I then had to go return on my own time and dime. Something that easily could have been avoided, had he just opened up and pulled down one of the existing fixtures to determine that it was low voltage. Just sort of felt like a rookie mistake to me. Time and money was wasted. I called Dennis because of his outstanding reviews, and I really want to like him, but I honestly must have caught him on a bad day because he was irritated, a little flustered all day by the lack of success and quite honestly found an excuse to blame everything on. I didn't confront him at the time because I candidly just wanted the nightmare to be over and move on. read more

He called me to to discuss, we agreed on a path forward, and I still didn't pay more than I had budgeted for the job. I never met Dennis, but the tenants haven't complained about the work he did, which gets it 5 stars in my book! My small job (originally!) did not require a team (Dennis & Mike) so Mike did the work by himself. I needed an outdoor patio outlet repaired or replaced and Mike evaluated everything and showed me what was needed to be done after checking and re-checking everything from the basement breaker box to the patio outlet. Mike did a fabulous job of replacing the outlet and it's housing, cutting conduit, and replacing a defective breaker switch. This guy does terrific work. He cleaned up everything and made everything look really great. It wasn't cheap ($245.) but he spent 3 hours and did alot of work and I am totally satisfied. He's a good dude with a very pleasant personality and, most of all, he knows what he's doing! I'll certainly call them the next time we need any electrical work done.
