We had a whole new HVAC system installed in our home today. We couldn't be happier with the service and the price. Zach,Devin and Bryson showed up on time, were neat and professional. These are the reasons why we have chosen and will continue to use this company! Thank you very much guys!! read more

UNAFFORDABLE!! New installation. brand new AC used for about 5 weeks last year. Burnt out. Told me to call Ins. Co. Never resolved. They refused to accept any responsibility. Leaving my family with no AC. I had to pay Add'tl $7k later involving another company. Now, 2nd issue. Confirmed when the hvac installed another company said system is NOT aligned with original airduct, resulting in leakage. I have called beyond numerous times and no call back. This issue, there is no doubt, it's their work for improperly installing it. I'm disgusted Rob Norton will not return a call. I used a different name and number and a different reason for calling inquiring about a new system. He called about 15 minutes later as he was under the assumption I was a new client. I got on phone, toldnhim my concern. He said he would be out, never showed. So he had faulty intentions. Unfortunately , his business address is a single residence as I was physically going to go to the business. I understand things go wrong, but a professional business should deal with issues in a professional manner. Next Now to proceed legally. May call "Ben has my Back" I am not giving up! What's right is right. And for the record, my first time writing a bad review, as that's how bad they handled this issue. read more

Excellent Service! AC broke down and Devin came out within 24 hours of our call. He and his co-worker were polite, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They had the system up and running quickly at an affordable price! We highly recommend Affordable Heating and AC . read more

Unfortunately 1 star is as low as you can rate... Was looking forward to doing business with this company to get a heating and cooling system installed. Technician was GREAT. Answered all my questions and explained the systems and what would work best for my house. Then. It was over. Done. Never heard from them again. Never received an estimate, a phone call, an email, a text. NOTHING. And it wasn't like I passively waited on an estimate. We called at least 5x leaving a message asking for a return call/estimate. Emailed and texted a couple of times. ZERO responses. I figure if they're not reliable enough to return my messages and provide an estimate then 1. they don't really want my business, and 2. How could I trust them with a $15k job if something didn't go right or getting them to respond to any issues or follow up during or after he job. We'll look at other providers, MA Save provides a list of 100s read more

Would give zero stars if possible. Technician Steve Roache came out during heat wave to address malfunctioning AC leading to a ceiling leak. Steve was rude, unprofessional and seemingly annoyed to be "doing" his job. Continuously mumbled sarcastically about "how much he loved his job today." Oddly, I found myself apologizing to him that the job seemed so difficult and unpleasant for him. Ultimately, after huffing and puffing and complaining about cobwebs, he said he'd have to "make a plan and come back with different tools and maybe a fan." When I asked him for a follow up timeline he said "I'll call you." Three days later after no follow up, I called and left messages with the company. No return calls. This is the height of unprofessionalism. The upside is that this technician/company's irresponsibility forced me to hire a different company which will now be my go-to company going forward. Their technician came out, was professional, polite and competent. He brought the correct tools with him (which a customer should be able to expect) and solved the problem in a timely and affordable manner. It was literally the opposite of my experience with Affordable Hearing and AC. Thanks for being so awful so that I could be led to an excellent company which I will use going forward and have already recommended multiple times. Along with my positive recommendations for my new provider, I have made it a point to share my pathetic experience with Affordable Heating and AC. Don't bother hiring this company. read more

The team was great -- from the quick response to email/calls to the professional estimate, including helping me get a $1000 rebate as well, to the actual installation - everything went super smoothly, and I really appreciate that they were able to make it up to Somerville to install the mini-splits. The install team walked me through the various units, and made sure that they looked great. I'm very pleased and definitely recommend Affordable Heating & A/C. read more

Had service done on 11/18/23 issue NOT resolved. Was told they need to order a part and they get back to me shortly. Today 11/29/23 after several follow-up calls to check status NO ONE will return my call. $200 charge on 11/18/23 with nothing resolved and no communication is about as un professional as it can get. Stay clear of this company !!! read more

We had Affordable Air + Heating out of Pembroke install our central air system and wish we did this years ago! Rob Norton and his crew did an outstanding job and at a reasonable cost. We got quotes that were ridiculous from "corporate" contractors/companies, but went with Affordable as we didn't get pressure or a sales pitch. What sold us was Rob is very down-to earth, a straight-forward, honest guy. We got a quick estimate, scheduled an install date and the install process was pain-free and didn't take long. If you've been thinking about taking that step and been holding off, DO IT. *Note : Affordable did not approach me about writing a review, I wanted to post this as it's rare in this day and age to get great local service without paying an exorbitant amount of money. Thanks again! Gregg MacDonald Duxbury MA read more

Upstairs heat zone went out last night (Friday evening) Called Rob, he had someone out the next morning! Furnace is repaired. Heat is working! Repairman was professional and explained what the issues were. Very pleased with the service I received. read more

They were great. They worked with me thru the Mass state rebate program and completed the gas heating system install in one day. All techs were courteous and could not have been a better installation led by Zach. He explained the operation of the system thoroughly and I was very satisfied. read more

A/C went out on hottest day of week at my 83 year old mother's home. Rob not only answered the phone when I called, he arrived at her address within 90 minutes to fix the issue! I had been trying for 24 hours to connect with someone who might give a window for repair... the company was referred to me by a friend. I will be signing my mother up for annual service and maintenance. Reasonable, responsive and reliable - all the marks to help me keep her in her own home. read more

The very young inexperienced young man did not do what he said he was going to do. He Only spent 20 minutes in basement supposedly doing a tune up on the gas furnace. He came upstairs and provided a slip with a list of things that he said he did. He did not doing anything. Was very knowledgeable tho, in what a new furnace would cost. Would definitely not recommend this company. read more

Called this company out for water heater they sent a tech out who introduced himself as Zach. All Zach did was bad mouth the company. He told me there is no communication between anybody and he has been the only one working. I called the owner Rob to tell him what went on and no repairs were made and Rob went off the rails telling me that was his son. Well I hate to inform him Zach isn't happy and isn't very happy with his company. HIGHLY doubt Zach is his son after the talk Zach had with me , and honestly really dont care both seemed like VERY unhappy people who are not very professional. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. I probably should have looked co.up online before dealing with them. If I had seen the F rating I could have saved myself some aggravation. read more

Great response. Air conditioner did not work and Affordable came out on a Sunday to fix.

They are reliable, responsive and efficient. We have used them multiple times. Price is affordable and fair, thorough in explanation on what needs to be done, and confident they are completing it efficiently. When our furnace and water heater failed, we replaced with energy efficient products. On both instances, our paperwork that we needed to apply for rebate was sent to us the next day business day after install. Highly recommend read more

Our water heater broke late Monday afternoon. The team from Affordable Heating and AC were at my house first thing the next morning. Rob and his son had a new system installed within 90 minutes! They were professional, cleaned up all debris, explained the new system and followed the protocol relating to Covid-19. I was very appreciative of their work and their professionalism. Thank you! read more

Strongly suggest that you NOT call this company for service. They didn't show up for 2 service calls nor did they call me to give me a reason why. Poor customer service - why choose them when there are so many companies out there that really want your busines!! read more

They were very prompt to schedule someone to come out and look at an issue I had- that's about the only good thing I can say about them. I knew as soon as the guy arrived he wasn't going to be me helping me and I was right. Without even looking at my unit he told me I needed a new system. He was arrogant and rude and talked down to me for the 30 minutes he was here. As soon as I inquired about the ballpark cost of a new unit he went full sales pitch mode- sleazy car salesman style. All he did was rinse my unit with a hose, plug in his diagnostics and tell me there was nothing he could do other than quote a new unit. I have since worked with another company who has fixed my issue and said I should get at least another 5 years, for less than I was charged for a 30 minute visit. Waste of time and $230. Tip for the company- If you're going to try and incentive your technicians to sell new systems at least give them basic sales training. This kid was clueless. read more

Ralph and his team are the best. They respond to messages, make prompt callbacks, and call just before arriving. The work they do is wonderful, treating your home and mechanicals as if they were their own. Affordable is the only company I trust. read more

I have only wonderful things to say about Affordable- the team is responsive, punctual, and truly cares about their customers. The service technicians were professional. Unlike some other companies in the area, they truly give you the lowest price and are very clear about cost of services. It can be daunting having what feels like strangers in your home, but the Affordable team made me feel at ease. I recommend Affordable to anyone. My experience was wonderful from the call with the co-owner for scheduling my appointment to the actual day of the service. read more
