Everything is done online. I took a few simple measurements and sent them a picture of the steps and had a quote via email the next morning. Once I agreed to the estimate, a professional came and double checked the measurements. A few days later I received an email with a proposed installation date. I accepted and even with a rainout day, the project was completed in two weeks start to finish. The employees were gregarious and professional. I was extremely happy with the price and the finished product. I highly recommend this business.

Switched to rand handy about 10 months ago and really liked their service and the company staff…read moreseemed great to deal with. However, we have 4 small children under 7 and a 1 year old born premature. for three months we dealt with one emergency after another from covid 19 having to shelter in place, going to take covid tests, it seemed each one of our kids was sick after the other and then finding out I was stuck in Maine for 15 days when going for work before I could return to Massachusetts and again stuck at a hotel before being able to go home or risk everyone having to quarantine In the midst of it we paid the oil bill late after always paying complete oversight. Rand handy called a few weeks later and said I didnt pay it and being at work unable to look it up that moment and send the information I simply paid again assuming I would get a credit toward the next delivery once straightened out. Rand handy said nothing to me that there was an issue and I said I would follow up with the receipt from the previous payment when I had a spare moment to have the account credited or learn what happened. Without a single warning or word they just didnt deliver oil again. Caught by surprised when I got a call we ran out and the house was cold I called rand handy to let them know we ran out and they had not delivered. Of course it happens when its 17 degrees out. For multiple days they claimed they were coming until I called again looking for what was going on and the secretary told me she was instructed not to deliver because we had paid the last payment late. no warning, no notice, they just let us run out and refused to deliver when it was 17 degrees and I was out of state again. We had no balance and one 280 payment late as a result of this mess with the pandemic. I requested they charge my card and fill the tank so we could have sometime to find a new company and they refused leaving us with no oil over a single late payment. Once I return in a few days I will have to look to get credited back for the double payment I have never written a review in my life but this was so egregious to do to people I had to especially with 4 small children and especially offering to pay right then and there. Totally uncalled for, I take responsibility for the single late payment but I got it done and apologized but to just fail to deliver with no warning even when offering to pay right there was just wrong. The pendemic has caused a mess for people and a reminder call may have been nice than just a no show and cut off in the freezing weather.

We decided on flooring but they needed to send someone to check the subfloor etc. The (I believe owner came out), and started whining how the subfloor was not ready and there would be extra cost. Our builder was there and I was away on business. My wife called me and I had to step out of a function to talk to this guy. I told him we would take care of the subfloor to meet his specs. I spoke to my contractor and within an hour we had a plan. The unprofessional behavior was uncalled for and in the end, when they came out to tile, the subfloor was perfect. I won't use this place again.

The owner's attitude encouraged me to write this review…read more There is a lot to like. The sales people are pretty good and the product is pretty good. The price is probably middle to high. The office staff were good to work with, and the crew showed up on time. They were as good as I could hope. This was an important job to me, and they were helpful in many ways. They were all likable and friendly people until things went poorly. Then, it *was* done correctly, to spec, as you no doubt told them, and that is how it is just going to be, sir. (except they don't say sir). A couple of things to look out for. they use contractors, not employees to install the floor. more availability, less responsibility. they drop off the floor partly because they are not installing the floor, a contractor is. The quote was slightly padded. First check what needs to be done, there might be stuff on the quote that is just padding. Afterwards, check what was supposed to be done was done. Get another quote. So, you might go elsewhere. The front end is good, but the back end (final floor) is not ideal but probably an average job. An average floor might be good enough for you. It will have to be good enough for me. I will look down on this floor and Peck's work for a long time.
