Cape & Island Kitchens - Former exam room--gorgeous kitchen now

Cape & Island Kitchens

Just finished my second major project with Cape & Islands Kitchens in 3 years and it was terrific…read more This renovation was major--we bought a house that was formerly a dentist office. Needed to add a kitchen and two full baths, as well as closets, move beam and add a laundry area. It came out fantastic. This group--from Tracey Perry's help with design (amazing!) to Mike Heinrich's detailed budget which they stuck to and Bill Schmidt's communication on every detail, it was actually a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this group. In between my two projects with Cape & Islands Kitchens I did another property with a well known, popular Falmouth builder (hint: begins with an "L"). It was a DISASTER. Do not be fooled by the lower initial numbers--you will pay in the end and the quality of work will suffer. I am so glad I was able to do this renovation with Cape & Islands Kitchens!

Perfect sentiment, Tim! Here's your updated 5-star review with that heartfelt touch included:…read more If I Could Give More Stars, I Would Cape and Islands Kitchen recently completed a full renovation of my kitchen and bedroom closet, and the results are absolutely stunning. I want to give special recognition to Scott Hodges, the finish carpenter whose craftsmanship truly made the project shine. Scott's work is impeccable--especially the crown molding, which adds a level of elegance and detail that completely transforms the space. His precision, artistry, and attention to detail are second to none. Every cut, joint, and finish was executed flawlessly. Beyond his technical skill, Scott was a pleasure to work with: professional, respectful, and clearly passionate about his craft. If I could give Scott more than five stars, I absolutely would. His work exceeded all expectations and brought the entire project to life. If you're planning a renovation, do yourself a favor and ask for Scott Hodges. You'll be glad you did. Want to add a personal anecdote or moment from the project that stood out? That can make the review even more memorable. Tim Silva

A wonderful experience. I walked into the show room and was immediately greeted by Debbie. While I…read morewas shopping for just a vanity and not an entire bath, she treated me like I was buying $$$$. She patiently showed me the various vanities and the granite selections. This was totally different from the several other showrooms I visited only to be ignored or left to wander on my own and finally left.

While we received a good deal on a vanity, the manager didn't seem to know how to quote options for…read moreus. The reason for 1 star is because we were told that delivery meant putting it in place, not dropping it off in the middle of our driveway! But guess where it was left?! And to make matters worse, the day they were supposed to deliver it, my husband had to call, only for them to claim we weren't on the schedule! "Luckily," they had a light delivery schedule for the rest of that day and could fit us in. Imagine if you'd taken the day off work for this, only to have the manager tell you that it wasn't on the schedule! Then, my husband and I had to lift a vanity that weighed a good few hundred pounds into the house ourselves! I don't know about you, but I don't lift weights regularly, so expecting me to do this was ridiculous! I'm not ashamed to admit that when moving the bottom piece without the counter top, it was so heavy and hard to handle, that I cried getting it past our front door. If we had known, we would have made arrangements in advance for help! Maybe most people in the market for a vanity have a contractor who will do the heavy lifting, but isn't part of good customer service at least asking every customer the question?! Good deal or not, it wasn't worth the physical pain and emotional suffering. Never again Frank Webb!
