Saying payment was due by Thursday but this is the email we got
Kelly K.

Totally ripped us off and shady company changed the terms of the auction! NEVER BID WITH THEM!!! Purchased from an auction with terms that said "3 day load out" and we have screen shots! Well they stated that it was actually a "2 day load out" When I spoke to management they said "they would NOT look at terms or emails" they called me a "liar" They charged me and told me I couldn't have my items! I ended up having to call Proxibid for the correct auction terms....Proxibid screenshot that shit and we contacted Sierra to let them know I was correct. Sierra told me they needed more detailed screenshots so I called Proxibid back and they notified me that Sierra changed the terms of the auction after it ended within an hr of talking to me. Proxibid was very concerned that an auction house would do this. Shady! Shady! Shady!! NEVER DEAL WITH THESE LIARS! GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK! STEALING AND LYING ISNT GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICE Manager is awful and hangs up on you! Brian tries to blame their mistakes on you and constantly bringing up that we're drowning and he's helping us! Lmao! You lied and were caught, we're not drowning! Idiot

These guys screwed me over so bad. I buy a lot of equipment and vehicles from auctions, but this place has to be the worst at disclosing obvious issues with their inventory. *****Let me start off by stating that a large amount of their buyers are from out of state or too far away to do an inspection prior, so they strongly rely on the auction company to advertise appropriately. ****** My vehicle was labeled as running, but undeivable do to flat tires, which was technically true. They verified that it starts and runs, but did not disclose that the entire exhaust system was missing. If they started it, they knew this, because it's louder then a monster truck. This cost me $1400. Once the exhaust was done, it was quiet enough to actually hear the engine. The engine has a blown out spark plug, so it needs a major overhaul to repair the head damage. Lastly, the sensors and wiring underneath the vehicle was nicely tied up, so the exhaust was PURPOSELY REMOVED, and not stolen as the thieves would have cut all the wiring that was in the way. When picked up, they were hesitant to allow me to start my running vehicle, now I know why. These guys cost me thousands in repairs to maybe get an extra $500 in their pockets. Save your money and buy from an honest business.

They sell fake gold damage jewelry on their online auction with not mentioning any damage in the item which reflect there bad intentions for scamming people to make easy money , stay away from that auction beside they charge you their state tax even if you are out state buyer , which I think it's illegal to do such act

I spend a lot of money at Sierra Auction. They are always good to work with. Normally I am very pleased and totally understand the virtual aspect of the auction world. Sierra does not do a good job identifying the condition of what you are bidding on. In the virtual world this becomes so important. In addition to this they seem to always put the stickers in the worst places. I have had several pull the paint off and it happened again today. It's very disappointing when that ruins something that good money was spent on. It seems to me that this is probably not that unusual and that Sierra would know this is a potential issue and as policy they should place the stickers in a place that does not ruin the item when this happens.

Their surplus is a rip off. Do not buy anything and it you refuse to pay for their fake and damaged items they charge your account.

I bought a car at a very low price. I don't agree with all the fees but they are upfront about them before you bid.

We had other businesses like them come and see our stuff they told us they can probably get 4000-$6000 for us. The only problem was we had to move quick and the other businesses did not have time that fast and they would have come and collected everything themselves. After 5 months of waiting, I got a check for $237!!! For everything. I had two electric matters base/bed that were never used from mattress firm that I had bought for $600 each. That was just two things. I am beyond disappointed. Never again. I much would have rather donated everything. This is insane.

Their on-site crews did a great job of cleaning out the locations and making them ready for the landlords. They do projects all over the country and the selection of items are great. They will keep you posted for auctions for the locations where you are. They also have a sammarketplace.com where you can purchase items at a fair price without having to go through the auction process. If you have a need for auction services or quality pre owned equipment I would strongly suggesting giving SAM a call.

We have been burned on MULTIPLE occasions on purchased items that are poorly identified and misrepresented. SAM provides very few photos, and rarely disclosed known defects/problems. After the online auction is won, it is a nightmare trying to reach anyone at SAM to coordinate the onsite equipment removal. There does not seem to be any accountability, and it's often unclear, who to even contact to handle your remote purchase removals. Many of the onsite people require you to fax their hotel rooms and other archaic, hit-or-miss means of communications, despite the technology available to businesses today. SAM Auctions appears to hide behind lame policies such as "onsite preview was available" or "Items bearing Quality Assured stickers are eligible for up to a 10% refund". So if you buy a $1000 item, and it arrives missing parts, internal motor housing corroded, and it doesn't function, they refund you no more than $100. WTF?! We, like so many other online bidders, make our auction purchases remotely from out of state, using online bidding platforms, so onsite previews are absolutely impossible, and SAM Auctions realizes this fact. I feel that SAM takes advantage of their out of area online buyers to dump and over-charge on sales of defective equipment that no onsite "bricks and mortar" buyers would ever touch, by failing to disclose these obvious quality issues. BEWARE!

Fidelity Estate Services

Very professional group! Quick checkout…read more Great estate sale. Definitely can tell that they have been doing business for 30+ years.

As I knew he would do eventually because he does it with almost every one-star review (there are so…read moremany of them!), Bo Patrick came along and whined that he had somehow been mistreated by clients deeply unhappy with his service. Our contract with Fidelity stated that the sale would include artwork. It did not specify oil paintings. We did ask Fidelity to auction artwork, and all the artwork we wanted to offer for sale was photographed weeks ahead of the auction by Fidelity's employees or agents. To be clear: WE DID NOT ALLOW FIDELITY TO PHOTOGRAPH FOR THE AUCTION ANY ORIGINAL OIL PAINTINGS OR ADVERTISE THEM FOR SALE ON THEIR WEBSITE. In his reply to my original review, Bo claims that "The day before the auction [my family] removed $20,000 in artwork and now you are upset because we charged you a commission to do that but that's exactly what the contract allows us to do." First of all, it's quite a shock to read that we owned artwork worth $20,000, because that's not what Bo told us at the time. He gave us a much more modest assessment of the paintings' value. Second, regardless of the worth of the paintings, that is not what happened. I don't know if Bo's memory is so poor that he cannot recall the events of his sale with us, if he is so lazy that he did not bother to check the facts, or if he is sufficiently deficient in honesty that he doesn't care about the facts. But his account is wrong. Bo knew that the oil paintings would not be for sale. We had a Zoom meeting with him and Kelsee more than three weeks before the auction in which he tried to persuade us to let Fidelity sell the oil paintings and our father's home; thank God we never seriously entertained the idea of letting him sell the house. But we told him immediately after the Zoom meeting that we had decided against selling the oil paintings. When Bo originally talked to us about the paintings, he wanted to have an online auction, so that people all over the world could bid on them. But that never happened, because we told them weeks ahead of time that the oil paintings would not be included. Again, to be clear: WE DID NOT ALLOW FIDELITY TO PHOTOGRAPH FOR THE AUCTION ANY ORIGINAL OIL PAINTINGS OR ADVERTISE THEM FOR SALE ON THEIR WEBSITE. You cannot believe anything Bo says. He whines that he "had buyers from all around Arizona and other states drive-in for those paintings.... When they arrived, they were very upset with us as an Auction firm.... You affected our reputation that day big time." But if Bo had people traveling from out of state to bid on items we told Bo were not for sale and did not let Fidelity photograph or advertise for the auction, well, that sounds very suspect to me. It is by no means our fault if Bo advertised for sale things he knew would NOT be for sale. We did not affect his reputation--HE did. If people were upset with him that day, it is entirely his fault. Bo won in our lawsuit against Fidelity not because the contract let him charge a commission (the judge agreed that it was a very badly written contract and did not redound to Bo's favor) but because, as I stated before, at the hearing, the judge allowed one and only one witness to speak: Bo's partner Kelsee Wirtjes. Please read my original review to see what happened next. In the time since I posted my original review, Fidelity has received two more five-star reviews, but three more one-star reviews. Their previously poor rating is even worse now--and it's entirely their own fault. The crucial point remains the one with which I concluded my original review: Why would you hire an estate sale company who is so disliked by most people who have hired it? Learn from our mistakes. Stay away from Bo Patrick. Don't believe his unctuous denials. However much he tries to shift the blame for his bad reviews to the people foolish enough to hire him, the fact nonetheless remains that most people who hire him to run an estate sale are extremely unhappy with his services.
